      Filipino Empire Not really. The word Tsar indeed comes from the word Caesar, but it has changed the meaning a lot since since it was first used. Now it's closer to the king and thus, tsardom is closer to a kingdom. There were no empires of Kazan, Astrakhan and Siberia, but the full title of the Russian monarch said emperor of Russia, tsar of the places mentioned above. It means a title of a tsar was beneath the one of an emperor.

      Short history of central Asia up to Islam: There (North of Aral and Caspian seas) was no actual civilization for thousands of years. Iranian tribes called Sakas or Scythians existed there since 3000 BC or 2000 BC. Up until 150 BC that some Huns defeated them and passed the area. Then in 4th century AD the famous Huns dominated the region and advanced toward current Hungary. Gokturks dominated the region since 6th century. Hephthalites were mostly consisted of eastern Iranians and were the latest mixed (nomad-civilized) pre-Islam Iranian Empire in Afghanistan and Oxus valley.

However, the territory was historically part of Iran, so they invaded in 1795 and slaughtered the populace of Tiflis (Also called Tblisi). Eventually the kingdom was annexed by Russia in 1801. Meanwhile Western Georgia, a set of small kingdoms under Ottoman rule, was conquered by Russia during the 1806-1812 Ottoman War and gradually annexed, with the last kingdoms being annexed in the 1860s.

    Looking beside these wars, it's sad how much Persia declined since the Safavid's. Isfahan, the Safavid capital was said to be on par with cities like Paris or Constantinople. But, after the Afghans invaded and with Russia/Ottomans encroaching on Persian territory, the city had only 50,000. A far cry from it's glory days.

      The Ottomans and Russians were never allies in this war, and somehow every mapper covering the 1722-1723 Russo-Persian War gets that wrong (as well as the frontlines). In fact, around the time of the capture of Baku the Ottomans invaded Persia to make sure the Russians didn't gobble up Azerbaijan and northern iran. The Russians didn't just annex Manzandaran and Gilan (as the person who made this video shows) but they also annexed all of Persia's Caspian coastline except Astarabad. Eventually the territories were split between the Ottomans and Russians at the Treaty of Constantinople in 1724, with Russia getting the caspian coastline and the Ottomans getting all of Persia's Caucasus territories, Iranian Azerbaijan, Khuzestan, Luristan, Iranian Kurdistan, and Hamadan.

      All Russo-Turkish Wars finished as a Pyrrhic wars.%80 of Russian army was destroyed and in addition to these ,Serbs, Greeks, Bulgarians, Romanians, German Empire entered battles side of Russia !

    • @user-pv1oi1ry6p
      @user-pv1oi1ry6p 7 лет назад +8

      Hekimoğlu Ali Paşa First of all,what Russo-Turkish wars do you exactly mean?There were actually 12 wars between Russia and Turkey.The last of them can be estimated as Russia's victories.
      Is it hard for you to accept the defeat instead of justifying the weakness of your country and offending other nations because of misplaced sense of self-righteousness?
      Secondly,where did you find information about 80% of Russian soldiers who were killed after finishing one of them?
      Thirdly,according to your words,Turkey was against all liberated European nations including Russia,but it's partly wrong.Most of them had no military experience to continue fighting Turkish troops after their liberation.The main moving force that was successfully going against Turkey was Russia.Besides,Russians didn't even participate in the First Balkan War when Turkey was immediately crushed by small nations of the Balkan region.

    • @anltoranoglu346
      @anltoranoglu346 7 лет назад

      1)There are 12 wars between Russia and Turkey !
      2)Russia had some allies in all wars, for example in 1806-1812 , British Navy had supported Russia and Serbian rebels were weaponized by Austria,
      in 1828, French, British Navies had supported Russia and samely Greeks and Serbs were weaponized,
      3) I admitted that only Alexander Suvorov , Potemkin and Rumnatsyev were successfull generals in 1768 and 1787 wars.Only two times Russia had clear victory but although Russia gain some castles in Ukraine region and Tataristan in 1768 and 1787 wars.
      4)Balkan Wars were different from Russia-Turkish Wars because Ottoman government was captured by Freemasons !

    • @user-pv1oi1ry6p
      @user-pv1oi1ry6p 7 лет назад +5

      Hekimoğlu Ali Paşa 1)Do you really think Russians couldn't have won this war without allies such as small Balkan nations or British navy?Besides,don't forget that Russia was participating in Napoleonic wars and particularly in the Battle of Austerlitz during the Russo-Turkish war 1806-1812.If there hadn't been Kutuzov and his genius campaigns Russia would have had 2 active fronts after the attack of Napoleon.So,the peace treaty was signed earlier than the new war was declared by the new French emperor in 1812.
      2)I perfectly know that Balkan wars don't have ties with Russo-Turkish wars because Russia wasn't even considered as a participant during them.However,they were consequences of battles between Russians and Turks.
      3)It doesn't matter how many allies you have.Most of them always fight for their own interests.The Ottoman Empire had a lot of human and natural resources like peoples of the occupied Balkan region,but it didn't help them.If you cannot build new positive relationships up from scratch with any countries for further using them in new battles as your economic partners or even allies you're a bad strategist!
