Holli I can say without a doubt you make projects so much easier to make. I tried watching a different RUclips video on etching and I decided not to give etching a try. Now I’m all in, I can’t wait to give it a go! Thank you for another amazing video!!
Really, really nice & easy way to do that. Easy to follow instructions. On the cover shot of the glass, it looked gold but the end product was the normal etching process. Do u know if u can etch color into the glass?
I did etching on my champagne glasses for my wedding. I did not have a Cricut yet, but I love the etching cream, and I can’t wait to do it again with vinyl!!
great video. It would be good if you showed all the supplies we needed for the project beforehand. Maybe a picture of what the actual supply looks like. I didn't know about the transfer paper or what it is so will need to research that. Also, I will be etching wine glasses for our wedding. I am assuming I will have to make a new stencil for each glass?
I'm just getting into crafting and love the idea of etching. I'm wondering if any kind of vinyl can be used as long as it's permanent (eg. regular, stencil, outdoor, frosted,...). I always thought frosted was needed for that. Thanks for the video. You make it look so easy!
I’ve been having armor etch, but have been nervous to try! You made it look so easy in this video! Think I’m going to give it a try today! Thanks for always being so thoughtful and such an inspiration! 💗💗
I don't know what a cricket or a silhouette is but this looks so cool! I do have a bottle of Armour Etch from fixing my eyeglasses. I'm going to go to the local thrift store to get some test glasses and go back by Hobby Lobby to see what stencils are available. I'm not about to attempt free hand as I have no artistic abilities. How do you handle putting the flat vinyl on the curved glass? Is their any bubbling, creases or overlap?
Cool little video with huge potential for use. Question: I've always wanted a matte phone screen due to no glare. Would this work for phone screens? Ofc I don't want the glass fully frosted, just etched enough to reduce glare
Hey,Great tutorial. Will rub and buff stay on the etched area if used or is their anything that can be used on the etched area to give a permanent color? Thanks in advance.
Ironically, I did actually watch this earlier this am but there were only like 55 comments. It helped me finish a glass for my secret santa tomorrow. Thanks so much!
Is there a special way to cut it for the curve of the glass or is it just careful placement? I have made a few and the hardest and most time consuming part is to get the wrinkles out. I put masking tape around the edges of the square that way I don’t get any on the parts I don’t want.
Can you help me understand how the transfer works? You applied the transfer tape to the top of the vinyl when the words were reading left to right and then when you put it on the glass The words were still reading left to right how did you transfer it? if you put the transfer tape on top of the vinyl don’t you have to then flip it over and then apply it to the glass?
So I'm very late to the game. Was just wondering what type of vinyl to use besides the stencil vinyl? I bought some removable vinyl and was wondering if that would work? Thanks!
Thank you for a short and to-the-point tutorial. It was exactly what I wanted to know.
I was going to come one here to say the same thing. I love straight to the point videos
Don't forget to scrape off the extra etching cream and put back in the bottle before rinsing. It is expensive and can be reused.
How do I get the etching cream ?
@@henrynonso3226 Armour Etch cream can be found at most hobby stores
Thank you! Because I surely was about to wash it off
It can be used after it has dried?

Excellent video, to the point, no wasted time, loved it! And now I know how to do it, great project! Thanks!
I’ve done glass etching a long time ago, but wondered if there was a way to change colors. Thank you so much for all these crafty tutorials!
I will have to show this to my husband. He is the one that wants to learn etching. Thank you so much for showing how to do etching!
Really, really nice & easy way to do that. Easy to follow instructions. On the cover shot of the glass, it looked gold but the end product was the normal etching process. Do u know if u can etch color into the glass?
Cute, cute glass!! Love the jingle!

Thanks for a great alternative! I use a Boss Laser w/ rotary for glass etching which is by far faster but vinyl is not a bad alternative.

Hey,Great tutorial. Will rub and buff stay on the etched area if used or is their anything that can be used on the etched area to give a permanent color? Thanks in advance.
I saw another tutorial where they used rub and buff and one where the used screen printing fabric paint. haven't tried it myself but will this week.
Alison Poole please do a tutorial or give me an update on the results. 😊
@@MrIceman19401 I pick up the stuff today. no tutorial yet but i'll def update lol

Can you tell if the etching isn’t complete? That is, if you have missed a spot or it didn’t work? Could you add more product if that happens?

I want to etch glass one day! Maybe after the new year I’ll tackle this one!
You make it look sooooo easy!

I have been wanting to try this!!
Video is great! Can wait to try to make my own glass!
Etching is my next thing to try. I've been so intimidated by it for some reason and you make it look so easy.
Was scared to try it, but you make it look so easy
Can you help me understand how the transfer works? You applied the transfer tape to the top of the vinyl when the words were reading left to right and then when you put it on the glass The words were still reading left to right how did you transfer it? if you put the transfer tape on top of the vinyl don’t you have to then flip it over and then apply it to the glass?
good video and awesome that you actually linked to the song used, unlike some less professional youtubers.
Thank you for video. What kind of vinyl do you recommend
Is this a handwash only thing now, and how long does the design stay on? New to all this.
Just got my cricut ex air 2 so I’m just in search of some knowledge fun project ideas and what not so far loving yours 😍
So I'm very late to the game. Was just wondering what type of vinyl to use besides the stencil vinyl? I bought some removable vinyl and was wondering if that would work? Thanks!
I used removable for mine :)
