    A real comparison between ceramics and swiss would be good to see.

    Mind-blowing , only a Sicencetitian could envision such a conclusive test!

    Bones swiss and bones reds are the same exact design, one made in China and one name in Switzerland with tighter tolerances. The biggest noticeable difference will be how long the swiss last over the reds.

      Why are the Reds so slow

    • @32srt32
      @32srt32 2 года назад +1

      @@matlabatt tolerances aren't as tight. I use them in the streets or for slappy setups but they degrade really quickly.

      I say for in-line skates/ quads where you mostly use it indoors and the occasional practice outside on a flat surface, you’re perfectly fine with reds but if you’re using it mostly outside definitely get the swiss.

    Lazy way is just pop in a new set of Reds everytime you buy new wheels. No cleaning or maintance ever. Works just fine.

    Did anyone factor in wind resistance while wearing that big, floppy lab coat in the *probably not very constant* breeze? Was the rider's steering completely stable? What is the margin of error on that piece of chalk? Was the starting push exactly the same each time? Would the results be the same for a heavier/lighter skater? Were the bearings cleaned and lubed equally before the test? What other factors might have contributed? Is it valid to make a judgment based on only 3 runs? Would a run of 20 or even a hundred yield a similar result? This review is interesting but leaves me with more questions than answers, and for the price difference, I don't think the average skater is going to notice a difference.

      I was thinking the same thing. It did seem that the Reds were unfairly hampered by wind resistance. That may compromise the entire experiment. However, I do commend for showing the spirit of Galileo and Archimedes, intrepidly documenting the phenomena of the skatepark.

    The Swiss bearings were always the pinnacle of bearings. You get what you pay for. I’m going to relive my childhood and get a set for my electric board to hopefully extend my range

    Reds suck. Same as OEM in my Birdhouse board. Not worth the upgrade at all. Spend more and get titanium.

    This test sucked. You didn't degrease both and use speed cream to rule out better lube from the factory.
    The Swiss are supposed to last longer, but no such proof exists

      Were you having a bad day? I understand. I have been having some bad days lately. You could just tell them how they could have improved the test. I have been trying to find good comparisons between swiss and ceramics myself but seem impossible to find good comparison videos.
      Nice WRX. I had a 2010. Still miss that boxer rumble.

      Both bearings already come with speed cream from the factory.
