    Bronson G3 Skateboard bearings are $12 more expensive than Bones Reds skateboarding bearings. But are the Bronson G3 Skateboard bearings any better than the bones reds skateboard bearings. I've always skated the bones reds skateboard bearings but now i've been on the Bronson G3 Skateboard bearings for two months and I think they feel better. The bones reds skateboard bearings feel great to start and then diminish a little where the Bronson G3 Skateboard bearings feel brand new two months later and even after being left out in the rain. I'm glad I said goodbye to bones reds skateboard bearings and tried the Bronson G3 Skateboard bearings. Hope this video was helpful to you!

      My favorite bearings right now are Quantum Science bearings Atom ceramic bearings. They're really fast, quiet, and affordable. I also really like Cortina Pro bearings. Once you break them in they spin for a very long time, are really fast, and spin very easily. It takes minimal effort to get Cortina bearings moving and they last a really long time. I've been using the ones I have now for 3 years.

    Fun fact Bronson G3 had issues with their cages shattering when they first came out. I got in touch with NHS Funfactory and helped them redesign the cages by being a product tester for them. It was awesome, and I did it for 2 years until i tore my achilles tendon.

      Bronson bearings are great when you get lucky. They’re notoriously inconsistent in terms of quality. I’ve had Bronson bearings seize up after a month and I’ve been skating for 16 years and take care of my setup. Bones have been making the best bearings for decades. There’s a reason they’re the most respected company in the game. Bronson bearings simply aren’t reliable.

    I’m not trying to sell anything, but the newest thing in longboarding/speed-skating is just using high-quality ceramic-greases in cheaper bearings. There is a day or two of break-in, but basically the ceramic in the grease fills in imperfections and polishes the race & bearings to mirror finishes. So almost any bearing can be better. Also heard some vert riders using NTN & NSK Japanese bearings these days over their own sponsors.

    Just got g3s yesterday. I will say there IS a difference over reds, quality is higher you can just feel it in your hands, tighter tolerance, better seals. The inner spacers are nice too. The board sounds different and pops different subtly, more solid sound? Probably because the nuts are able to tighten down and hold the wheel better idk . and they are noticable smoother / faster , i skate the same lot daily with this rough patch on the run up to a curb and first go my normal run up i had waay more speed. The hype is real?

    When it comes to bearings I tried bones reds, g3s, and Olympia. I skate a really crusty DIY former tennis court spot that I made so there is a bunch of dust and dirt. Olympia bearings were the only ones to not crap out after 2 months of skating. In my experience the g3s seized up after a week of skating. Then again most of you are hitting parks so maybe I got a bad batch ooorrrr it just comes with riding DIY stuff.

      Unfortunately, mine slowed up big time and got noisy after a couple of skate sessions. I noticed it change half way through the second session with them. Maybe I was unlucky, but my normal reds were fine. Got some g3s on the way though and I'm excited to try them. I've started 'aggressive park quad skating' again after only skateboarding for the last 15 years. I started out on quad rollerskates and had the urge to get back into it so thought I'd try some new bearings for a change too.

    For the bearings i go with mini logo, but the quality differs from a set to another. I bought 5 of these in 2 years but the one i've put in my son's setup for 1 year and a half is just incredible. It's the fastest at our local park (by far). Cleaned them just one time, and put some oil once a month. Never put my hand on another set like this one though, so i wouldn't say mini logos are great, just this one lol. 1 died in 3 months, 2 were... decents, and the last one (mine) is still good (fast but pretty noisy) after 8 months. Never tried Bronson

    ill ride anything 50%+ off to try it thats on clearance g3/cortina/nothing special..for my quiver/random build. But ill shell out full price for some swiss bones, or 25$ for red big balls for the quiver pool/shaped setup. Bones swiss just are fast the longest w.o cleans/inbetween cleans. Are faster than anything ive skated when landing into a transition at times they shock me just how fast/smooth they are compared to other bearings. Big balls bc i wont shell out the big bucks for super swiss 6, though i first fell in love with super swiss 6 balls back in the day with shaped 60mm riser setup. That we basically stole from a friends older brother. 6 balls are really really smooth if you generally like RIDING and the feel of the surface/pumping/slashing i highly recommend trying the big balls from reds. or if you ride 56-60mm wheels theyre worth a try. At the end of the day reds are supposed to be the cheaper alternative, more equivalent to the bronson G2. The G3 being 30$....and generally on sale for 20$ or less bc of how many VARIATIONS/colorway/pro model options there are. When on sale theres a lot more value in the g3s. Reds dont ever go on sale nor do swiss. Ever since reds crept up from the 15$ price point up to near 20$....ive been going elsewhere for my "CHEAPO" 3rd wheel quiver setup. 2 sets of nothing specials and some presto bearings by cortina....IDC cheap bearings are all the same to me. The nothing specials were pretty fast....but its harder to form a LEGIT comparison when im comparing 30-35$ msrp bearings with 15-20$ options. Theres a large gap in build quality/material construction etc. When you have a quiver and a setup you arent going to ride every day if not rarely/a couple times a month....then you really dont have to worry about stuff like "durability" etc....theyll be relatively new shape and greased at all times. Leaivng your setup in your trunk will de-lam your board...and dry out your bearings IJS. But it is what it is...when you work daily and squeeze sessions in....you have your trunk setup/daily it gets soft in a month....get a new deck...and side bitch the softy...into a quiver with some trucks you wanted to try that arent your regular size/brand...and same to wheels/bearings....or at least thats what i do every few months when i still like a shape on a board that got soft from having it in my trunk ill keep it in rotation if the shape was something i liked....or i just donor it to the needy kiddos at the park/shop. Same to those bearings. There not high on my priority list, wheel size/shape and deck size/shape are first for me. Unless im skating the few local parks ive skated my whole life and im trying to hit MACH 5 speeds/lines....i wont exactly notice the bearings from one brand to an other from 15-30$ options...if theyre all new/good/greased....As long as im confident in my deck/shape to skate fast AF and blast....as well as my wheel/edge grip that i wont slide at times when im not trying...bearings are an after thought....and often the cheapest/easiest part to replace in a setup/quiver....by far. F4 wheels are going at 40-45$......yet we can find any relatively decent bearing any day of the week/month on deal for 15-20$....vs "full price"...

    I’ve enjoyed both the Raws and the G3s. But that’s the case for most any bearing to be honest.
    If I had to pick I’d pick the Raws simply because of the look and the sound. But I’m not sure the Raws are actually that good. My only pair was great for half a year of light skating but then from one day to the next felt like they lost speed and started squeaking too.

    Bronson's G3 don't even have stainless steel ball bearings inside. You're just paying for the label. I only gone skating in the evening I was swapping wheels and bearings over and noticed they were not moving well so was very disappointed to see that they had rusted up bearing in mind I had only had the bearings two days. I sent them back for a refund. Don't waste you're money on either of these brands My reds are total rubbish just branding again. You're better off getting some non branded stainless steel bearings with a high ABEC rating off eBay or AMZ

    Bones Ceramics would never last longer though, due to the simple fact of the different materials used. It's one of the trade-offs. And they are not worth the $120 or so price tag. Unless you ride a lot through wet mud or rain, I'd never recommend ceramic bearings (which by the way, you can also get for like $40 from different brands). Companies often claim the ceramic bearings reach lower temperatures and such, but just based on pure physics alone I wouldn't trust those types of bearings more than regular ones going downhill at speeds where this would actually matter. The problem for me is how the Bones Reds are priced very fairly for what they are. In fact, if I feel like spending less money on bearings, I get either the Independent GP-S which are easily the absolute best bearings at under $15 or I get the Mini Logo bearings, which are clones of (read: exact same bearings as) the Bones Reds for _half_ the cost. So even if they are B-grade Bones Reds bearings, you'll get very good value out of them for sure. Even come in pretty much the exact same packaging, just different graphic.
    I feel like the whole 'best bearing' debate is also a little bit exaggerated, as most differences are really very very slim, unless we're talking Walmart-grade crap or stuff not meant for skateboards (ie. fidget spinners). In my opinion Bronson G3 is pretty much on par with Bones Reds, which kind of isn't a good thing, as they _are_ more expensive. Maybe the difference is in overall longevity or 'durability' of the bearings, but I have to doubt it. Bearings tend to break, eventually. I've seen people break Bones Ceramics bearings the first day they skated with them. And my Bones Reds in one of my setups has lasted me already over a year now. I'd buy new Reds in a heartbeat, as they seem reliable enough for a good price.

    • @theknifeconnection9571
      @theknifeconnection9571 Месяц назад

      Good ceramics bearings should last longer. Expecially I'm high speed. Ceramic as a material has a much higher hardness rating then steel. So they can resist deformation. The only way to break them or stop them is by shattering or chipping. Which doesn't happen oftwn
