Your cameras likely have a motion detection. Possibly they have switched outputs triggered by the motion detection. We use our cameras with the Home Assistant. It offers the option to switch on bright lights. No burglar likes to be brightly illuminated.

The problem with a steel framed house:
1. Absolutely no thermal mass
2. Framework heats and cools rapidly but holds no heat. So they are incredibly inefficient and require constant temperature regulation.
3. Acoustically it’s an absolute nightmare, lots of resonance
Good points
1. Structural integrity
2. Structurally accurate
3. Structurally neutral, very little movement of framework. Very solid.
Use the best, thickest insulation you can fit in the walls. Every single wall should be insulated, EVERY WALL.
We built one, still live here in it. Would I build another? Probably not.

Loads of work went into the making so far. But the mental part is mind blowing. Getting everything right the first time was something to behold. Both have worked to hard to get to this part of the build, can't wait until the walls go up. Kudo's to you both.

Hi I have never had any doubts about the build as a retired manufacturer owner and a construction site manager working on new construction sites and refurbishing old buildings for new business development and for the reuses ie into manufacturing.facilities. Like your self’s I was always cle anting up at the end of each day and going to si each morning with maybe one other site hand in order that each project that coming day was set up in places so as the guys to arrive on site could start there projects straight away with easy and would concentrate with the job in hand as I see you have so often been doing 😊
