Great to see everyone in Brighton once a year from across the planet, obviously this is filmed during the day, at night it gets rammed full with all the bands playing, ska, punk and oi , see you next June
It´s a shame that all these sub-cultures and their different styles & outfits got lost. We had a lot of these in Vienna / Austria in the late 70´s, the 80´s. The Mods and Modettes, New Romantics later Goth´s, Punks, Skinheads, Skin-Byrds, Rockabilly´s, Teddy´s, Rockers, . . . Today you see everywhere the same people. Everywhere it's just a copy of a copy of a copy - without personality, without style.
Well said ! I totally agree .. all the youth nowadays walk around wearing dark puffa jackets and jeans.. they all look the same, no variety in music either .. many thanks for your feedback 👍🍻
Just subscribe to this treated my self to a pair of docs few months ago good to see people out there enjoying life could see me going to one of these reunions love this
I'm so amused by how these people appear not to be hearing the same rhythm, melody and tempo as each other. They all demonstrate this in how they dance. I love it. The bloke in the yellow and blue shirt has no musicality whatsoever; the DJ puts on a new song with a different beat and he's still dancing the same way he was to the previous slower track. I was so confused and wondered if the audio was added later to explain him moving so comically out of time to the beat. But then I clocked the joyful dude in the hat skanking with great verve, really well, and merely scratched my head whilst chuckling. I love his enthusiasm. All dancing is wonderful, everybody should just get up and dance even if they appear to be moving to a tune nobody else can hear. 😆
Hahaha that’s me in the yellow and blue shirt, and your description of my dancing is spot on! Haha. I try my best and enjoy myself and in my head I’m in time but on viewing the video I’m clearly not 😂😂
I remember going to Southend with my uncle and cousins in 1974 ….I noticed a whole family of teddy boys …old men through to clueless little sprogs all wearing teddy boy outfits It looks strange unnerving and sad all at the same time……watching this gives me the same feeling I loved being a skinhead ….But it does look wrong on 50yrs old men and women Still no harm done ❤💪🏻🇬🇧
Many thanks for your feedback, I hear what you say .. but as you say “no harm done “ just people living there best life enjoying themselves.. we’re only here once !
Southend. My neck of the woods. Didn't get into the skinhead scene till the early 80's though because me mum wouldn't let me shave my head or buy me some dm's all come together time I hit 11 though. lol
Poser fashion skins dancing to black music. The original skinheads didn't dance to reggae or ska, they listened to mod music. They also didn't have shaved heads.
@@dehavillandcanadadhc-6twin20 The original skinheads came out of the mod scene and were white. They were not black and they did not come from the reggae or ska scene.
Who cares? In the next few years, Europe will be a muslim continent and America will turn into a country full of atheist gay/lesbian/undefined gender people. Why bother?
Me encanta 👍😍
