When I was a teenager I used to go to ska (punk) shows and dance until I was drenched with sweat. Now years later after losing that innocence I realize how this style comes from joy and gratitude for life. And im going to bring it back in Thank you for inspiring me.

God I long for the days of Madness, The Untouchables and English Beat. I was fortunate to live in So. Cal. we're ska caught on so had a steady stream of the music. The 90's ska revival with bands like Save Ferris and Reel Big Fish was happening in my own back yard and was glorious.
Getting older I also long for these innocence days, but sometimes I go to Ska concerts already nowadays and I'm happy with my beer and feeling the atmosphere, it's my holiday from the everyday routine

We met on Rock Zottegem and I managed to arrange a meeting with the boys of Madness after their show. We had a most wonderful time then, and have been friends with Jens ever since. We all grow older, but the Madness stays on us ...Great show Jens !

Sometimes, RUclips just throws you an absolute gem. Loved this. Not just for the music and the dancing and the general I don't give a fuck - i will skank where I want attitude. But also because I spent a few days in Cologne back in 2019 (weirdly enough was there to see a punk show at a place called live music venue iirc) and absolutely fell in love with the place.
