Great job Carl and good explanation of the process. Can't wait to see how it all goes in bronze.............That VFD setup is looking more appealing all the time too. We may have to chat when I'm not flat out!

Good job Mr. Carl. Last time I was cutting Acme threads, it was on an old worn out machine at a shop where I worked. I got nearly to desired depth and the machine crashed. Sounded like a gear or shaft broke inside the lathe. Boss laughed and said he was amazed the lathe lasted as long as it did. Every time I see a Acme thread, it reminds me of that time way back when...

Thank you Danny! Hopefully I won't have that problem. I will try not to. Its funny how things can evoke memories in that way. Thank you very much for watching and commenting, I appreciate it and it means a lot to me!

Great video, looks like you have it now. I think it will be even better in the bronze as the Delrin is a bit 'chewy'. Not that big hairy thing from Star Wars.
Much love from all of us here to all of you there. Tell Harry thanks for the card.
    Dean.

Thanks Paul. I started making the blank in the bronze today. So my workshop is looking very festive at the moment - albeit belatedly. Bronze "glitter" absolutely everywhere. Thanks for your support, it means a lot!

    Clever.
Went around to my local tool supplier to see if he can get me the fibre tipped cutting tools. He told me he'd get back to me.

Grand job Carl, always good to practice with Delrin whenever possible, especially when working with non-standard threads like you have there. Looking forward to seeing it processed in bronze.

Yes you are right. I want to ensure I understand what is happening with the process before committing to the bronze. Thank you very much for your interest and comments.
