yeah, i like most of the other "Easy 3 chord songs" tutorials, where the guy show you dmaj7dim, amin12sus0.96 and bminDeezNutz, with some "easy" chords changes and fillers (in fact just some phrygian and myxolidian jazzscale improvisations in 200bpm) on his 8k Hummingbird or Martin. Its youtube, its not the "normal people show you some tricks"anymore, its "mega experienced and gifted people show off". If you search "easy painting tutorial for Warhammer 40k" you get People with 10 golden Demon Trophys in the background. I miss old youtube.
At 68yo I started learning the banjo 6 months ago, but can only finger pick 2 songs really well. It suddenly dawned on me that maybe I could play the same cords on the banjo and follow your lead. It works! My banjo was even tuned to your guitar! All of a sudden I can play 7 songs! I can't tell you how happy I am. You just opened up the world to me. Many thanks! 🪕
Jesus loves you I really hope you find a new light to life through music, it is such a beutiful thing to bring people together no matter what color race or country it just has that feeling down in you're soul that you can't explain or get anywhere else. God bless you I really hope you get really good and maybe famous even later in life its amazing what can happen
I started watching you about an year and half ago and you encouraged me to play guitar. It's been only 3 months playing guitar for me but you made my journey wayyyyyyy easier, really. To sum it up, you're kind of like my role model Love from India 🇮🇳🇮🇳
I'm planning a beach weekend with my family from all over the country. I had suggested to them that we play guitar songs and play around the campfire. This was fab! I'm going to share the playlist with also we can all practice and play them together. And your guitar is so pretty. Thanks so much for putting this together.

Found your channel a while ago trying to learn TS’s August (bc its pure joy to play in guitar). Now I find this video with such GREAT content, it’s visible that you love what you do… so keep it up! You’re doing an amazing job!!!
I love the simplicity of these songs and the way you present them. It is quite refreshing to remember how simple is often the best way to play a song. I have an electric/acoustic gig set up with all kinds of pedals and special effects to have to keep track of I sometimes forget how you can have even more fun without having to worry about all the gizmos and what can go wrong. I really like your voice and the enthusiasm you have for the music. Keep on playing!
Thank you ! You have wonderful style. I thought I’d never be able to play the rhythm and sing at the the same time, but here two days later I’m doing it . Country Roads is the song I learnt,so I can play it along with my cousin. Merci.
I am learning the Ukulele for fun. Never played an instrument before. Thank you so much for showing the strum pattern for each chord. Many tutorials aren't showing that and it is so important. It helps distinguish one song from another
As you progress with your uke journey you will absolutely find your own way and strum patterns will become easier. Keep on with the grind because the path is long and it will consume you as you strive to get better. (30 years of playing guitar and uke )👍
I wouldn’t worry about whether people like country because it’s my go to songs and most people do like it whether they admit it or not. You’re great girl!
I’ve been searching the internet for well known campfire songs which are easy to play and you’ve made them easy to learn…Well done…I’d love to hear more👍
If I would have had videos like this for free when I was trying to learn guitar, I would be in the Hall Of Fame by now. Not sure which one, but one having to do with music, I'd hope. Anybody starting out on guitar that doesn't appreciate this and other vids like it doesn't know how lucky they are.
This is a wonderful tutorial. I am NOWHERE near ready to play these songs (day two of learning the guitar--lol), but this is exactly why I want to learn: to play around the campfire. Great tutorial! I will definitely be revisiting this. Thank you!
@@arctic_moon_ Let's just say I started taking lessons. Bahahaaaa! I admire people who can self-teach the guitar. Evidently, I am not one of them. LOL Good luck to you!!
Wonderful work, thank you. I am a classically trained professional musician & have toured & played with every symphonic orchestra & theater across North America . Proud of my 45 yrs of touring but had I picked up guitar, at your age, when I should have, my path would have been MUCH different. Very appreciative of your endeavors here & keep it up!! ❤️
I just got my guitar for my birthday and haven’t played in over 10 years since my dads friends made my first guitar. Thanks so much for making these videos I’ve tried about 10 since Friday (my birthday) and none have worked. It’s been really stressful lol thanks so much I feel so confident now that ik at leader one song. My uncle also used your videos and sent me a link to you (he’s 18 btw so it’s not creepy lol, also we’re only a few years apart) but yah thanks so much Nena these videos are great and include some of my favourite songs. ❤❤❤
I have looked online to find some songs to learn. I have been playing the guitar for many years. However the last ten years or so I hardly touch a guitar. Then a month or so I decided that I wanted to pick the guitar up and start playing again. But this time I completely sucks. It’s like I never played before. I am so disgusted with my playing that I have decided to sell my equipment and just give up. When I decided to start playing again I brought me some equipment. I purchased a Les Paul electric guitar and a Epiphone Masterbuilt. And a couple of weeks ago I bought a Martin D10E Road Master Guitar. I have wanted this guitar for a while so I got me one. However even with good quality guitar I am still no good. Anyway I came across your podcast and saw you playing and teaching and was highly impressed. Every other podcast I’ve found was just way too out there. I know the guitar 🎸 and many many chords so I’m aware of different styles. But I couldn’t gasp what most of them were trying to convey. I haven’t tried to learn much lead guitar playing but theses people all had a different system. All I wanted was to learn some new songs so I could practice and get back in the swing of things. I have forgotten most of the songs I used to play. After I saw and listened to you playing I was so pleased that I found you. I love the way you play and how you teach. I decided to follow you and learn from you. It would be great if you would continue to play and show people your talent and your songs. Thanks.
Thanks for teaching so many different songs in this vid. It’s the motivation I need to finally learn the C,G, Am, F chord progression!! I really need help on how to play F though as I can’t fret the two strings with my finger no matter how hard I try 😩
you can do it i believe in you!!👏👏 one thing that might helps is playing Fmaj7 which is basically just another variation of the F cheater chord with your first finger on the second string and the first string open. won’t sound exactly the same but it’s a little easier ! but otherwise just keep practicing and eventually you’ll build that muscle memory 🤗💜
"These songs don't require a capo." Fun musical fact. The capo is used to modulate the guitar to the vocal range of the singer primarily. So those songs will still readily need a capo if the singer cannot sing the melody in the key the arrangement is written in. A capo can also be used if the key the song is written in does not readily translate to simple chords to use on the guitar. But more frequently, it is used because the singer does not sing in the same vocal range as the artist who originally wrote the song.
Well played. Being 68 years old I only knew two of those songs ( John Denver & Bill Withers) . I’ve heard of Taylor Swift but don’t know any of her music. It’s funny how youngsters refer to popular music as “ classic “ but at my age classics are more like 50’/60’/early 70’ music. 🤣🤣🤣. Oh and I like your guitar . I like the Fender with the electric looking head stock. 👍
This is a great selection of songs. I didn’t know they were all using the same chords and mainly the same strumming pattern. I’m so excited to try these out! Thank you so so much 💟
I just came across your channel, I really liked how you made it simple and included the strumming patterns. I can easliy learn chords but a lot of lessons dont provide the strumming pattern. Thank you!
