i figured since the weather is warming up (especially here in SoCal lol) that i would teach y’all some of my favorite go-to summer sing-along guitar songs :) whether you’re just hanging with friends, at a bonfire or a family party, these songs are great to have in your back pocket for a group sing-along moment!

Finally, found someone who doesn’t insist on barre chords and sounds great! Thanks for sharing!
yeah, i like most of the other "Easy 3 chord songs" tutorials, where the guy show you dmaj7dim, amin12sus0.96 and bminDeezNutz, with some "easy" chords changes and fillers (in fact just some phrygian and myxolidian jazzscale improvisations in 200bpm) on his 8k Hummingbird or Martin. Its youtube, its not the "normal people show you some tricks"anymore, its "mega experienced and gifted people show off". If you search "easy painting tutorial for Warhammer 40k" you get People with 10 golden Demon Trophys in the background. I miss old youtube.
At 68yo I started learning the banjo 6 months ago, but can only finger pick 2 songs really well. It suddenly dawned on me that maybe I could play the same cords on the banjo and follow your lead. It works! My banjo was even tuned to your guitar! All of a sudden I can play 7 songs! I can't tell you how happy I am. You just opened up the world to me. Many thanks! 🪕

I love the simplicity of these songs and the way you present them. It is quite refreshing to remember how simple is often the best way to play a song. I have an electric/acoustic gig set up with all kinds of pedals and special effects to have to keep track of I sometimes forget how you can have even more fun without having to worry about all the gizmos and what can go wrong. I really like your voice and the enthusiasm you have for the music. Keep on playing!

great idea for a songs. i love the variety of songs to have on hand. No capo+. and of course the simple teaching style. these songs sound quite nice through your voice.
This is a wonderful tutorial. I am NOWHERE near ready to play these songs (day two of learning the guitar--lol), but this is exactly why I want to learn: to play around the campfire. Great tutorial! I will definitely be revisiting this. Thank you!

Well played. Being 68 years old I only knew two of those songs ( John Denver & Bill Withers) . I’ve heard of Taylor Swift but don’t know any of her music. It’s funny how youngsters refer to popular music as “ classic “ but at my age classics are more like 50’/60’/early 70’ music. 🤣🤣🤣. Oh and I like your guitar . I like the Fender with the electric looking head stock. 👍

I just got my guitar for my birthday and haven’t played in over 10 years since my dads friends made my first guitar. Thanks so much for making these videos I’ve tried about 10 since Friday (my birthday) and none have worked. It’s been really stressful lol thanks so much I feel so confident now that ik at leader one song. I just came across your channel, I really liked how you made it simple and included the strumming patterns. I can easliy learn chords but a lot of lessons dont provide the strumming pattern. Thank you!
