Wow, you actually gave a really good explanation of each mode and even went into technicalities. This is the kind of info I'd usually get from more well known youtubers. Great work, really enjoyed it! Subscribing
My favorite mode and the best mode in my opinion is "Performance" mode hands down. 4K graphics and a 60fps frame rate is the perfect middle ground between super sharp mind blowing graphics/visuals and a super silky smooth frame rate. I can sacrifice Ray Tracing for 4K @60fps. My second option would be "Fidelity" mode because even though the frame rate drops to 30fps, native 4K graphics combined with Ray Tracing is just too beautiful to pass up.
I think all games should have a performance RT mode, I honestly can't tell the difference between 1080p and 4k and it would be great if the games let you max out the graphics at 1080p 60fps rather than push medium/high graphics at 4k 60fps
@@graznardolillo4589 idk i see a huge difference in resolution and that 4k looks waaay better. I instantly notice when the resolution gets lower on both performance modes. Playing with 55 inch 4k tv.
For me it depends on what game I play, if it’s a casual game like Spider-Man and Minecraft I’d not mind sacrificing frame rate for better 4k graphics and ray tracing . I currently don’t have Spider-Man nor have I played it yet but if I did, fidelity mode or performance RT are the modes I would play on But for more competitive and intense game like COD war-zone, I would rather have higher frame rate than over 4k graphics because it helps with tracking movements a more and provides a smoother experience. And also I hope I didn’t offend anyone with this comment, I actually love both frame rate and resolution modes equally. This is just my opinion and I totally understand that everyone has their own preference and interests for what mode is best.
30fps vs 60fps on god of war felt a like night and day difference. 30fps vs 60fps in Spider-Man isnt very different for me so I've been playing fidelity
Thanks for the comment. That's strange, I find that both Spiderman and GOW both give great difference in 60 FPS. I have a hard time going back to 30 FPS
Thank you very much. The more I play Spiderman the more my favorite setting is Performance mode. I prefer the higher resolution and 60 FPS. Spiderman is a fast moving game and you can't really appreciate the Ray Tracing unless you stop and admire. Thanks again for the comment
I like performance mode and you still get reflection on the streets and not the buildings. It's not rt reflections but they look really good. I think on pc now the setting for that is screen reflections which is a really good option for non rt graphics cards.

Thanks for the comment. I completey agree, performance was my favorite too, the 60 FPS and almost 4K made the game most favorable. I am also hoping as the console generation matures that we will always get 4K, 60 FPS with RT.
@@graznardolillo4589 Considering the fact that my ps5 is always completely quiet playing the game while my ps4 was as loud as a jet engine, there is unlimited potential for the next games

I still have my ps4 pro and Xbox one x and both have games that run at 60fps. I’m happy playing games at 30fps if they look as stunning as miles morales or horizon forbidden west.
Thank you! You have given me a great explanation and a basic idea of the various graphics modes of spider man miles Morales. And suggest me which mode will I use in my new ps5.
Thanks for the explanation, very helpful and didactic. As someone who is playing the base PS4 version, when I get my PS5 I will want to play in Fidelity Mode for the better graphics. 60 FPS isn't so important for me in third person games, speciallly considering the Performance Mode cuts off all the graphic improvements and makes the game look like the PS4 version. The same goes for Performance RT, which I think it's a low resolution for a PS5 game.
My favorite mode is "Performance" mode because you get to play the game on 60 fps while also enjoying a native 4K resolution. "Performance RT" is great too but lacks a 4K resolution which is why I choose "Performance" mode over it
Bro but why is this game runs smoothly on Performence RT, performance but on fidelity why it is not smooth as on Performence and in Performence RT??? On PS5
Because the gpu works more on better grafic and rtx on fidelity, on performance/rt it works more on fps and less on grafic and rtx, that’s why on performance rt the grafic is only 1080p/2k (the gpu has to work on fps and rtx and to do that it lowers the grafic). Personally I think the most important thing a game is the grafic so I’m going to play in fidelity mode
I have a question ... In some games ps5 has some frame drops (in 4k resolution) so if I play that game on my 1080p monitor will there be no frame drops then ?
If your monitor is only 1080P then the PS5 will output in 1080P and will not have frame drops. Lowering the resolution is the most common trick that developers use to make sure there are no frame drops. Games also use DRS (Dynamic Resolution Scaling) in which the game will drop resolution during some busier scenes in a game to make sure there are no frame drops. So in conclusion yes, the lower the resolution the less chance of frame drops. So running in 1080P will most likely never have frame drops
@@graznardolillo4589 in Ac Valhalla there are only two option quality (4k) and performance (dynamic 4k and there are frame drops) there is no option for 1080p so if I'm playing ac Valhalla on my 1080p monitor will I experience those frame drops ..... This is a good point. Many people still don't have 4K tvs, so if you're running your PS5 on a max 1080p TV anyways, it's kind of an easy choice.
