Crytek has been shitting on the balancing ever since they started adding special ammo to battlepasses. They then released the Spear and it only went downhill from there.
The bow is one of my main weapons and I really feel the difference with this trait. Being on the same pact that lets you take your arrows back from a distance is just an insane buff for my playstyle. Last night my friends were shocked that I killed so many people per match (I was shocked too) and asked me "When did you get this good?!", and I was like "I don't know, I took the pact with the arrow in it and now I'm Robin Hood I guess ^^''. My friend who plays Maynard a lot just opts for hip-fire with this trait and doesn't even bother to look at the scope. It's only been a day since the event started but I definitely feel like it's overpowered and I wouldn't be surprised if this is the pact that gets picked the most during this event. Otherwise thank you for this video ! I really like what you do :)
Yeahhhh Im probably gonna skip out on this event. I already struggle in regular lobbies and encountering anyone with crackshot is just gonna feel unfun to play against, esp if you don't have it yourself. I really wish Crytek implemented a game mode that foregoes all the event stuff. Like, you can play non-event vanilla hunt alongside whatever event is out, that way you can still Hunt but don't have to deal with any potentially game breaking meta that the event pigeon-holes you into.
Agree!! and the audacity to add himself into the game as the fortune teller is beyond. It really shows the ego - bringing on expensive Activision devs & not seeing player count increase. I hope they let him and his expensive crew go soon.
@@devinhoyt2935 he joined towards end of 2022 when events started increasing. (I have nothing against events and monetization) I'm just not a fan of the new speed of the game, unbalanced or untested weapons & the amount of tinkering on an already great game is complete madness 😂
A big thing I feel like no one’s talking about too has been jumping. Jumping affects the crosshair size, with crackshot it tightens the hip fire of the jumping crosshair as well. Even crazier is that it affects jumping while in iron sights so if you’re good you can jump shot headshot people A L O T, I’ve only done successfully done it a couple times since I haven’t been able to play much. Crackshot is insane I don’t think the jumping tightened crosshair was intended but it’s still something crazy ngl
My Crackshot rework is that it applies the same effect, but it progressively weakens depending how many bullets are loaded. Ie, full mag, no effect. Half mag, half effect. Final bullet, full effect. Does not apply to single-shot weapons, or the drilling. Edit: maybe the effect only starts kicking in for the last 45 bullets, so people can't abuse the chainpistol dualies...
I decided to give the most recent updated shot especially since I really love poltergeist and I will say the most recent bill I did just try is double hand crossbows with one having full fire arrows and the other having one choke bolt and one normal bolt with my tools being a spear, throwing axes, and throwing knives purely just because I like each and kind of fits the theme of the blade monster trait as well as crack shot especially since I realized something interesting when it comes to crossbows and especially the hand crossbow and the blademancer trait thanks to the fact that it does the damage of taking the bolt or thrown weapon out of the person when you recall it meaning you can shoot someone in the arm and then do the same damage as pulling the bolt out of them if you instantly go into dark sight after hitting them meaning even what was non-fatal shots could actually turn into fatal shots especially since the also still have medium bleed meaning even if they don't die right away, the likely be like one or two bleed ticks away from dying... Beyond that the spear and the throwing axes are just really fucking good close range instakills if you need them and don't have time to reload your crossbow with the throwing axes being nice for dealing with the butcher and meatheads as well as also general AI as opposed to the spear because when you throw one you can instantly recall as opposed to the spear where unless you have the frontiersman trait, the second you throw it you switch to a different weapon being whichever one you were using before you were using the spear meaning even if you instantly recall it you have to waste the time switching back to it with the throwing knives being your back up it fall else fails as well as also a good way to actually get a lot of damage on bosses by chucking all eight into the target and then recalling all of them alongside the axes and spear
Sawblade gun thats totally op. Hipfire meta. More semiauto guns every few months. This is why half the playerbase left. We had a dolch and nerfed ot to hell. Now every other gun is as effective.
Yep, it feels like in a last ditch effort instead of carrying a solid base of players who love Hunt..since 1896 they are attempting to draw in masses by eliminating the meritocracies which divided the casual player from the few thousands who love this game..still I understand why they would from a business perspective..yet, I still feel us true "Play Hunt no matter what!" Players are losing what has always made this game great and not just another flash in the pan kinda fps shooter.
How do they manage to still introduce one busted pact every event? Haven't they learned it's a shit strategy in like 6 previous events? It was as simple as separating blademancy and crackshot into different pacts, not that crackshot needed to exist in this way at all Also, lightfoot for 4 points. *sigh*
I think that the ringmaster pact is plenty strong too. being able to get darksight boost without having a token is really strong and being able to smush enemies with your mind is really fun and makes for easier boss takedowns. you also have to remember that crack shot takes 3 pledge marks to get, so you kind of have to extract or win a fight to be able to get it. we'll see how annoying it gets as the event progresses, but there is reason to run other pacts. also lightfoot is still 5 trait points, not 4
@@peebnute not lightfoot. surefoot. I agree that we have 2 strong pacts but blademancy is absolutely busted. I was killed by nonlethal bows / steel bolt pulls several times today. Plus, dual wielding and levering with reduced spread is... well... broken. Would be great but crytek won't do it because "we need more players going through event!"
