For a long time i mainly used the loadout of silenced centennial shorty with fmj and the rival 78 mace but recently with murder circus the normal centennial shorty and terminus shorty have been serving me very well, its especially nice because levering can benefit both guns(tho the cents hipfire is awful its still saved me in a panic when my terminus was unloaded, and its slightly better with crackshot) tho it is a loadout that kinda requires ironeye with how i play and obviously levering so a bit limited in traits on a first run, its very fun and useable both at very close and decently far ranges while being fairly forgiving if i miss a shot or two

Additional tip for meatheads: Despite what you would believe they're weak to poison. Pre-nerf the hand crossbow could kill them with like 2 poison bolts if they stood in the gas enough. A silenced negant can kill them in like 12 shots with poison rounds. Also you can kill concertina armored with melee without a bleed but you have to be as far as possible when meleeing it with a pitchfork or bomb lance

Really loving the theme of the event as well as just how easy event points are to get. I mean crytek has always been generous in my opinion with ease of completing events, and this one feels even more so

A big thing I feel like no one’s talking about too has been jumping. Jumping affects the crosshair size, with crackshot it tightens the hip fire of the jumping crosshair as well. Even crazier is that it affects jumping while in iron sights so if you’re good you can jump shot headshot people A L O T, I’ve only done successfully done it a couple times since I haven’t been able to play much. Crackshot is insane I don’t think the jumping tightened crosshair was intended but it’s still something crazy ngl

I can't deny being a little disappointed by the animations. I was hoping they would feel slicker, not just sped up :/

Explosive ammo also works on immolators, they die immediately and don't explode! Not that many people bring it but, possibly, good to know.

This is my favourite event in the last 4 years. Absolutely love all the new skins, traits, weapons and creatures. And a bonus is getting the old map back in the roster.

I've used sparks and Springfield with it and honeslty sparks with flame bullets is very broken and scary

This trait is absolutely fucking BANANAS with the Sparks. It basically becomes a Martini with a higher damage and faster muzzle velocity; it's damn near broken.

I decided to give the most recent updated shot especially since I really love poltergeist and I will say the most recent bill I did just try is double hand crossbows with one having full fire arrows and the other having one choke bolt and one normal bolt with my tools being a spear, throwing axes, and throwing knives purely just because I like each and kind of fits the theme of the blade monster trait as well as crack shot especially since I realized something interesting when it comes to crossbows and especially the hand crossbow and the blademancer trait thanks to the fact that it does the damage of taking the bolt or thrown weapon out of the person when you recall it meaning you can shoot someone in the arm and then do the same damage as pulling the bolt out of them if you instantly go into dark sight after hitting them meaning even what was non-fatal shots could actually turn into fatal shots especially since the also still have medium bleed meaning even if they don't die right away, the likely be like one or two bleed ticks away from dying... Beyond that the spear and the throwing axes are just really fucking good close range instakills if you need them and don't have time to reload your crossbow with the throwing axes being nice for dealing with the butcher and meatheads as well as also general AI as opposed to the spear because when you throw one you can instantly recall as opposed to the spear where unless you have the frontiersman trait, the second you throw it you switch to a different weapon being whichever one you were using before you were using the spear meaning even if you instantly recall it you have to waste the time switching back to it with the throwing knives being your back up it fall else fails as well as also a good way to actually get a lot of damage on bosses by chucking all eight into the target and then recalling all of them alongside the axes and spear

Immolatores can explode when hit by ai such as hellhounds and barb armors. I believe the cleaver grunt can do it but I haven't seen it. A buddy of mine learned this the hard way with a dog bitting an immie and it igniting a red barrel. Lost the clip because xbox hates memories. Water devils can be one shot by poison best is suppressed nugget. Meat heads can although rarely headshot you. The cleaver meat head once insta killed me with a headshot when berserker was first introduced. Yet to recreate this but not very eager to either. Theres also lore but thats not much tricks but rather trivial such as hives are women not indoctrinated by the hunters and meatheads are birthed from the fetus of a female hunter. Creepy stuff.

Sawblade gun thats totally op. Hipfire meta. More semiauto guns every few months. This is why half the playerbase left. We had a dolch and nerfed ot to hell. Now every other gun is as effective.
