The graphics update made Peeb HD........... what the heck..........
Besides the new map, I've been really enjoying this wild target most! Watching it hurl fireballs and babyrage from afar is like watching a train wreck. It's horrifying, but mesmerizing.
Peeb, sometimes the NA Servers like to lag, A TON. Srsly you could fight a team while under the massive rubber banding and ice skates. Tell me i am not the only one.
I didn't play the new update but I had the same problem before. Often it was much better on the European servers with ping 180 than on NA with 30 ping
Stamina shot + Heavy spear attacks = win. Just get right into his face.
Personally i love that they finally added DLSS support
now the game dosen't look like doo doo when playing in 1920x1080p
i also enjoy the centered crosshair, altho it will take some time to get used to it lol

I have yet to play, because i need a ps5. I hope to get one soon but bills have been stacking up. Looks cool, and been trying to avoid watching videos but i gotta watch a peeb video
Also a cool thing is bringing a concertina bomb might not be to bad. You got pretty lucky with a cover heavy area, but if you're stuck out in the open it's hard to fight and dodge sometimes. A concertina bomb blocks the hellbornes fireballs which is just nice. Portable cover.
I like the improved performance, I actually gained a few fps. I also like that there finally seems to be no more glitches in the water. Bullet drop is also fine. I was very concerned about what they showed in the developer update but they toned it down quite a bit while increasing the drop value of all weapons overall. Pax for example went from 15m before drop to I think 65m. Most rifles are now between 120m and 160m depending on bullet category and type. So I'm happy with that.
What I don't like though is the UI, it's garbage for PC. They should let you choose between layouts.

I went from maxed out 100fps to lowest settings barely able to maintain 90-100fps..with DLSS. My game turned from nice and crisp Wild West to chewed up marshmallow

@@distract_5871 5800X and 3070Ti, 32GB DDR4, installed on gen3 NVME...but 5120x1440.
Still, even at that resolution, going from maxed out 100frames to absolute lowest with using DLSS as a crutch to just barely get to similar frames is a crime.
Worst thing is, it doesnt look that drastically better compared to the old one (maxed vs maxed) to cause such loss of frames.
Overall, this "upgrade" update is a hard downgrade in my case :-(
Centered crosshair is weirdly the feature I'm most excited about for the 1896 update. Lowered crosshair works for some, but it always threw me off.
Having a whole new map to explore is the best!

My favourite part of the update is staring at a black screen and my cursor upon launching the game... like seriously so many ppl are having this issue and crytek needs to patch it already
Making sure the game wasn't being blocked by the anti virus fixed it for me.
if you don't mind answering a question how does the new UI feel?
It's taking time to get used to for me, definitely preferred the old one though.
