I haven't watched main stream TV in yrs I watch things like Taryl's show I go for quality entertainment.
I am the same way The only time i watch TV is the local news for 30 minutes in the morning as for TV shows i have not seen a TV show or any other crap in a good 6-7 yrs all 100 % YT now
You are wise in your generation.@@rogerstlaurent8704
Here’s to being much happier sane people because of it too
Taryl, thank you for showing off our saws, I had about 15 of mine there along with Mark and Chris’ extensive collections one of them being that Strunk. Glad your viewers got to see them.
I want to add that that gorgeous restored Strunk and the rack of saws behind the "tractor" saws belonged to Jameson from South Bend. We appreciated his contribution to the display.
Now that looked like a great show! Thanks Taryl and the ''crew'' for taking us along! From Sophia, N.C.
Great Video Taryl Keeping American Traditions Strong ! Thank You
I never ever thought I would be subscribed to a lawnmower/plant youtube channel. I find it so interesting or is it just the sight of Taryl staring right back at me with those mad eyes and mad teeth !!
Keep up the good work. From a UK grass rat !!
Chainsaw collection was awesome. Thanks for the walk about. Sweet air on Weeley King,
HI GUYS
I'm surprised the green energy Tzars/dictators don't ban events like this for producing too much greenhouse gas and promoting "misinformation"...
Here's a tip: Before you buy a new mower, drive around your neighborhood and look at what your neighbors have bought. That way you know where you can get parts when your's breaks down. 😁
Great video Taryl! Thanks for the demo of the bowsaw.
That was cool thanks for filming it and interviewing folk . I just wish I could have been there my self👍👍👍👍😎
I bet Buckin Billy Ray would like to get his hands on that McCullough chainsaw
McCulloch...not sure why so many people think it is McCullough...
You can thank autocorrect
Ahh..so that is the reason...I guess maybe that is just on smartphones?..I do all my comments/watching on my laptop, it doesn't autocorrect, just red underlines a word when it thinks it is spelled wrong...which is not always the case...@@Neighborhoodgo2guy
I was finally able to go somewhere this year and was able to get a picture with taryl, he talked to my dad on the phone while he was at work and told him we were spending all of his money, and we had a great time, also spent way too much on small engines and parts but I have lots of projects now.
My dad had one of the large Wright's from the mid 60's like the one in the video. Heavy as all get out and a pain to start to boot. Awesome collection of vintage saws - thanks!
My son and I had a great time there. First time at a power show. You guys are great love your show hope to see you again. Joe & Anthony
GREAT VIDEO, SO MANY COOL THINGS TO SEE.
I KEPT REWINDING TO READ WHAT I WAS LOOKING AT.
THANK YOU TARYL.
Hopefully you men can venture as far as wisconsin some day. Allways a good time watching you.
Nice to see the little Poulan XXV. I had one for my 10th birthday and it ran for many years. Still got it, but hard to get parts now.
So cool thanks for sharing…👍👍👍
The chainsaw segment was AWSOME! 👍
Wish i was there, awesome seeing old equipment to teach us how the technology started to compare to where it is now. They were super heacy chainsaws back then, had to be a real man just to use them. Cheers.
Great way to get out and enjoy your day 🙂
It's always great seeing other people's saw collection.Wish I had several of those in mine. Especially the 2 man saws. I love running them, but it's hard to convince someone to stand on the dummy end of those monsters.
Hey Elkskins! Nice T-shirt! Nice video.
I have a 14" Homelite XL that originally came with the "Raker III" chain & anti-kickback safety tip on the end. Bought it new at Best Products on Salem Ave in Dayton, OH in 1984 and it still runs. (the safety tip fell off about 30 years ago.......and honestly was not safe at all)
Some cool old stuff there. I'd like to see Slippers toy collection. I also collect diecast, easier to store/hide than mowers and real vehicles😂
great stuff guys!!!!
One of the first saws I ever used was a stil 08, and it was heavy, but very powerful. 😊
I was reminded of my father's Homelite XL 100 circular saw
Elk Skins is under appreciated. He seems like the guy who can come fix your mower to keep your brass neat even after nuclear war. After the bomb we may all be driving 1976 200 series john deere lawn tractors with manual pto clutches, and an added pull start, and a by passed neutral switch, and the other modifications.
What did Taryl do in the past? It messed up my future. I was outside ready to mow and my mower suddenly switched from a breaks and scrapum to a tecumseh.
Tecumesh as he says
That was pretty funny. Made me laugh 😅
Flea markets are the best. You never leave empty handed.
Great video thumbs up I have some really old stuff ,glad to see it out there
Awesome 🇺🇲
HEAVEN!
I enjoyed the video. Great work boys
awesome
Taryl is the best small engine mechanic in the world and there's your diner
i love it buddy
"I got a Mall"...Yeah, I got a maul, too, but it's heavy and I can't hardly swing it anymore"..😝🤪
I saw a couple Pioneer chain saws... Dad had one he had a rough time getting to start... he was mixing his oil/gas 16/1 I got it to run fine on 50/1 !!
Sure love my old Poulan bow saw
Taryl, when’s the next shop update coming? Would love to see what’s been happening in there!
Nice people nice channel 👍
Sweet sick stuff
Awesome video
I'm going to go out on a limb and guess you were sort of lucky on the 750 honda.
My local shop a one of those bicentennial Poulans brand new. I always thought it was just a Poulan top handle someone did a custom paint job on.
Awesome video! I love the chainsaws and cool looking tractors.
The only things that could make this video better are part!numbers. We need more part numbers
Taryl. 😀
Would Mark Myers be "Modified Mark" from all the chainsaw forums?....
That's what I was thinking
For as many years as I have been hanging out with him.
My Dad 's old chainsaw had a tank for gas ,a tank for oil and a tank for the chain. It had a die cast housing over the engine and a metal carrying case for the chainsaw. I was hoping to see one here but I didn't, I'd like to find the brand name. He said it was old and this was back in the early 60's.
0:22 I thought that was a Scag hahahah had to pause it and look closer
Hell Ive got 2 of those old Mac's
Hey Taryl what days will you be in Pontiac for the Threshermen's Park this year. I missed you guys last year . I showed up on Saturday but you had already went back home.
I got a Mall model 11 two man I gotta get running. Who knows….maybe see if you can?
I got a question I have a John Deere la115 and it's smoking from the dip stick tube is that the rings or a bad head gasket
That's fairly normal. Especially, after you change the oil. They run hot, in panic mode. A good engine is designed to run at 1800 RPM. Our gas motors these days run at 3600 RPM. That's 60 turns each second. The weedwackers and blowers run at 12,000 RPM. You can do the math but its about 200 times each second. They have no choice but to do it.
Wish I could have been there with you guys Where's My Dinner😂😢😢😢
Iv'e never bought new lawn equipment, i always waited for big trash day and went and collected mowers and trimmers and made them run. I'd sell what i didn't want cheap and use the others until they were not worth repairing.
Poulan chain saws are junk.I bought 2 at different times .I decided to give it another try so I bought another one. That one was like the last one junk.Homelight made the best chain saw .My dad had one and that thing lasted for ever.
Irfan from Greeneville Tennessee I used to drive for Land Air transport out of Greeneville Tennessee
Wow what a great collection of saws and I’m betting that guy has several other ones at home not show ready lol great video thanks for sharing have a great day grass rats
Bruh my dad have on of the International scout 80 he has the ute version
After you eat don't forget to floss
It takes a real man to use them saw
Why is Jr missing lately in the videos and skits? He adds alot to the channel and I think he is funny and really miss his great acting 😅
Is Junior and Slippers brothers?
I kick myself every time I see one of them Case 646's. I couldda bought one with bucket and a backhoe a while back.
... Shouldda, couldda, wouldda.
Hello
I had an old Poulan wild thing chainsaw my wife would always laugh when she saw it. She ended up in the trash last year…the saw not the wife.
I had a big mall and wright saws and gave them away 😢
We’ve gone backwards not forwards! Everything back then was built to last, high quality equipment. Everything now is just junk
LMAO !
🥱🥱🥱
Hwhatt
Guarantee has failed, I see goofy stuff like this every year at the steam threshers show over in Plain City, Ohio. I need to get my old Lombard project finished up, them saws are crazy!
guarantee .. never seen it before ... FAIL .. I grew up collecting and attending shows like this .. we even use vintage tractors to run conveyors augers .. etc .. i even had a 1 of 1 belt driven apple peeler .. but my brothers family stole it
Slippers, I wanna kiss you.
get back to fixing stuff.. this show crap is lame.. people already cover it ffs
Thank you boss. We fixed a jeep last week. Maybe sometimes we like to hit tractor shows and show what they have to offer.
Wheres the big battery run junk?
a lot of those early saws had the engines poached for go carts when racing became popular.
Agreed, those Mac saw engines were and still are popular
i've got an old john deere saw on a shelf in my garage, a few old macs, a homelite, as well as a poulan countervibe 3400.
When are you going to do a update video on your shop extension?
Imagine my surprise when Mark popped up on the video. I just met him yesterday in Baraboo Wi at the Badger Steam and Gas show. He is a wealth of knowledge on old saws and he helped me appraise an old Poulan KD100 that I sold at the show. Great video even if you didn't fix nuttin :-)
Diversity of the Tractors of Old, that's the diversity I can get behind.
Correct. Not the WOKE Diversity bull shit being crammed down our throats today. TRUMP 2024
I’d much rather have any of them compared to one of the futuristic, non-functional battery powered abominations.
Dang it. I did not hear about this & it’s only 20 miles from my house. 😡. Hay guys. Sorry I missed ya
I want a 1979 International Scout Hot Wheels
Thanks for sharing Taryl and Gang👍🏻
My dad used to work at Mall as a quality control supervisor.
I worked for Poulan in the 90’s. We had a manufacturing plant in Arkansas and the headquarters was still in Shreveport at that time. I went there a few times and they had quite a few old saws down there. Shortly afterwards, they closed down the Shreveport facility and moved it to Arkansas. Sadly, they announced this month that they are going to shut down the Arkansas facility by the end of 2024.
Shipping it all to Mexico, or God forbid China..
@@carwashadamcooper1538 I think they are moving to South Carolina
I had fun a winamac tractor show it was well worth the 9 hour drive thank you taryl
What a piece if history. You can see how well made it is. Great video from the Grass Rat idots. Lol!
You guys crack me up
You need to check out old thrashers in Mount pleasant Iowa labor day weekend they have small gas engines cars steam tractors lawn mowers steam trains every thing gadgets gizmos the works check it out man
Great video.
Was cool to see the Blue Ford Tractor Toy.
I had one growing up, and remember playing with my late father and my little blue tractor.
I would watch him on the John Deere working while pretending I was doing the same.
At 44 years old, I can see the toy collector appeal.
Thanks for sharing y’all’s experience.
We have a Homelite 5-20 and a couple David Bradley one with gear drive. Thanks T.
Central California watching
Hartford Michigan old engine and tractor show September 1st and 2nd.
If you guys can make it there I'll try to stop by and say hi. It's an hour and a half South for me.
at 0:41 had a mower like that wore the RUGG badge very good dependable mower for many years late 1960's to early 1980's
I also own a chainsaw collection and I have a 1968 McCulloch 315-A electric start as well!
I had a very old chainsaw that the gas and oil tank was separate and the only way to oil the chain was by your thumb and you had to pull the lever to turn the chain bar if you were to cut a tree down because you can't tilt the saw .. And the other saw I had was homlite bowsaw and same kind of saw but 26 or 28" bar I wish I still had them
