You're faking to be in Vietnam but you're one of those Vietnamese living somewhere else and hating Vietnam. I am living in the US and follow the news around the world every day. Vietnam has been doing a great job compared to most countries in the world.

The difference between 100,000 VND you guys settled on and the 150k or 120k the taxi driver was negotiating as the fare makes no difference to you, less than $2-3, yet could make a huge difference to a taxi driver working in a struggling economy hit by a lack of tourism.
