I can see what you meant with mentioning rothko. Just like his paintings, the color is really pushed into the material and the outcome seems like a really thought out and specific tone.
Always been interested in the Salomon collaboration with 11BBS. I prefer the hiking boot version as I think they fit my style better. Would love a pair of them in like a dark grey or even dark brown, which I think they have now for the current season. Really cool!
Hello David, what did you use to cleanup the upper of the shoes ? I got a pair with very light color as yours, and was asking myself for casual use what product was mostly appropriate. It's a dyed sole model so I guess it's kinda specific
I'm UK10/US11/EU45 in Nike and Adidas trainers, EU43.5/44 in Rick Owens and DRKSHDW, all my Salomon Bamba2 are UK10.5/US11/EU45.5 (sizes as written on respective labels)
@@royjan6014 if you are UK7.5 also in Nike I'd say go for UK8 in these Bamba2, Adidas fits a little bit smaller than Nike (in my opinion) so if that's your only reference you may be ok with UK7.5 also in the Bamba2 but I still think UK8 would be a better choice. I had Bamba2 in UK10 back in the days but even if I could fit my feet inside I was suffering after non so long wearing them so I had to half size up. That's just my own feel and experience tho, doesn't mean it will work for you as well and if I remember correctly David doesn't size up from his trainers, but of course that would make sense if those are Salomon as well (the sizing on the Bamba2 is typical Salomon, not BBS)
@@DavidMoseer I don't know how you can squeeze your feet there ahah... the "usable" inner sole length on my Nike Pegasus in size UK10/EU45 is around 29 cm (but it extend to 29.5 cm if we consider also the raised part around the heel) while the inner sole length on my Bamba2 in size UK10.5/EU45.5 is 29.5 cm. So I think the inner sole of your Nike in size 46 will be around 30 cm while the inner sole of the Bamba2 in size UK10/EU44.5 will be around 29 cm. Have you ever had the chance to try the Bamba2 in size UK10.5, if not UK11?
I like the look of the purple (murex) Bamba 2 Hi, though they’re not easy to find at decent prices. I have 2 Hi and 1 Lo Bamba 2, Bamba 5 and Boot 2, and am fond of them all, but wish they fit consistently across all the styles. But that’s about my only complaint, other than the high retail price 🤣

Love seeing those quick updates on your skinnosh stuff! Does the colour of the bambas rub of when they get wet? Read about CCP Boots that got wet and then transfered their colour on the pants... But probably not since there is a gore-tex version which is made for bad weather right?
Thanks man! The only pair that rubbed color off was the red one. White socks all pink lol.. the others were fine though. And yes, I remember when I got my first CCP leather jacket.. wore it out with a white shirt for the first time.. shirt was ruined 😂😂

Yeah big sizes are difficult to find. Maybe you can squeeze into a 44 2/3 then it gets easier. Thats how I do it at least. They fit me fine, would have never thought

I would say yes but honestly so difficult to say. I wear a 44 2/3 in them and I am a true 44 but I wear 46 in Nike 😂

Since youve tried many bambas are the non gtx waterproof too? Im talking same silhouette bamba 2 but the cooler weird dye versions
No they are not waterproof at all mate

How well do those Belt Buckles fit through loops?
Those are for a 38mm wide strap so the fit through most, if not all, loops but it takes some practice for sure
