the best aspect of the CCP for me is displayed fantastically in the functional absurdity of the drip sneaker. the drips will obviously wear off and simply by wearing the garment you're destroying it, but that is exactly the point - it becomes yours physically as well as spiritually. i definitely think there's room in techwear for this kind of design, if anything it would be far more fitting for techwear than anything else due to its extremely functional quality. a shadow project jacket where the colours change over time in places of heavy articulation for example would be cool, something like this doesn't sound outside of the realm of possibility at all.
totally agree! I couldn't think of a classic tech wear brand that would take such a risk though.. I think if a brand takes such an approach, customers need to be educated first that the piece they just bought might fall apart in the future lol.. to me it is the intersection between fashion and art but I understand that the majority of people don't appreciate that, especially considering that the item will eventually break down hence loose its value.
This is exactly the video we needed about ccp, insightful and understanding of what the pieces are and try to be. also love the detail shots and in depth talking about the pieces, I only own one piece by ccp, LUC-PTC tornadoes (but mainly because I'm still a poor young student) and they are by far my favorite piece of clothing I've ever owned and I plan on expanding that collection as soon as I can, thank you for the video.
Thanks for the nice words! Man, for a poor student you are doing awesome haha.. no seriously, I love the idea of having one pair of boots and rock them to death. If you can expand your ccp collections thats cool, if you cant, you are still set for life with this pair!
The drip sneaker is a great metaphor for carols clothes, he and the clothes themselves in a way don’t want to be worn, and it’s uncomfortable and sometimes even destructive to the piece to be used as clothes. Just a totally singular vision for fashion and is still unmatched today or really will ever be
ccp is comfortable, that's a meme.
Finally someone online that says "pöll" 😂
😂😂✌🏽

love this - been trying to find a ccp/ Avant garde youtube for a while
Thanks mate! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
i dont mean to be offtopic but does anybody know of a tool to log back into an instagram account??
I stupidly lost the account password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me
As for techwear
Its made by a machine it is souless
But durable
U give it the human touch by abusing it till it gains patina
But for avantgarde its made by an artisan and fabrics/materials used are derived naturally showing scars/imperfections and feels natural to the touch unlike crispy techwear stuff
So its quite cool man vs machine
Or intergration of both natural and synthetic
Agreed man. I doubt most techwear stuff will get patina though. On the other side though I feel like techwear makes my life so mucb easier. Last winter I was wearing a Paul Harden coat which weighed like 5 kgs and didnt really keep me warm.. now I am wearing a down jacket that weighs 1/10 and keeps me insanely warm. So two sides to the coin I guess
Great insightful and clear video !
This techwear - avant garde topic is quite interesting. Especially when you say that you feel like you wanna protect those CCP pieces while wearing them, but they also have a used look from the get go, which makes the whole thing a bit funny lol. I would feel weird about being very careful about a piece that voluntarly embrace an aesthetic that embraces wear and tear. But then again, they're also very expensive.
that jacket was so amazing, I dont know shit about leather but you can really tell how good that horse leather jacket is.
Came across your channel today. I’ve been bench watching all day during quarantine lmao. Love it and keep it up! :)
Haha I guess even the whole corona situation has its upsides.. Thanks my man! ✌🏼
The ultimate avant-garde techwear fusion is Blackmerle if that's what you are looking for. That is my vibe too, though would supplement with CCP if I could afford. Blackmerle is made to last
Havent owned anything from them yet but looks interesting! Thanks for the tip mate! ✌🏽
finally an interesting youtuber

the paintings in the back r a nice touch. The one to the right brings life to the room with the light hitting it.

thank you so much for the pronunciation bit🙌🏻
..alotta youtubers out there getting it wrong filling my head with nonsense😵💫
Today is the first time i watch ur videos and really really appreciate the good works u have made out here. Keep doing this and ur bag brand is fire 🔥
Thanks so much!!!
Very envious of your CCP collection. He's truly avant garde and doing interesting things -- or, well, used to.
Thanks! Yes I agree mate
Nice, interesting reviewer + good looks. :) Thanks for this vid.
Great stuff, that high neck fits great on you!
I think Altieri at Carpe Diem did object dye before CCP, and there's probably some even more obscure designer before that
Thanks man! If I remember correctly there was a discussion on stylezeitgeist in the good ol days. And the outcome was that CCP was first. But I might be wrong though ✌🏼In the end its probably impossible to prove who was first and tbh its not that important haha
Haha definitely not important, Apple wasn't the first to invent the smartphone either!
Just feel a little sorry to the forgotten maestro haha. His new work with Vnapersona is very very interesting though!
Which also reminds me of another designer sitting at the intersection of techwear and artisanal: Aitor Throup. Absolute genius!
One of my fav videos do more ccp info pleaseeeee
Your channel got me hooked on CCP. I found a shop that is Helping me Special order CCP Combat boots. Super excited to get more of his pieces
Awesome man!!
Woohoo nice one dude!
Thanks Felix! :)
Great video!!!
Thanks mate! 🙏🏼
great video ,thank you :)

Great vid.
Thanks Peter! 🤘🏽
It’s a rarity to see another person, that has similar feathers. As a Aficionado and having my degree BA & MA @ Otis/Parsons ~ I can say with certainty, that he knows what he’s talking about. Big Bumps and Props. He has great taste! I’d definitely, do a Collab with y’all... It’s very true, and other Aficionados out there, would agree, CCP is art. ie Vintage Porsche’s that are maintained in it’s purest form. All of the dents scratches wear and imperfection tells a story. ie “The big E Levi’s 501” I’m def digging your channel...🔥🔥🔥
🤜🏼🤛🏼
Sub'd. Since I'm also beginning to mix Avant Garde and Techwear lately.
Nice educational video
Thanks man!
Great video! What size gloved high neck are you wearing in this video and what is your height and weight?
In the video I am wearing a size 50 and as you can see it fits good in terms of sleeve length but its a bit tight on me.. I am 191cm and around 85kg.. I used to have the same jacket in size 52 and it fit perfectly.. Hope that helps
2:09 it would be great to have an image here of the ‘techware silhouette’. I have No Idea what that is! 😊 but i would like to know what that is or what you mean by that.
Thx.
Old lady usa.
great video! you're right, CCP is untouchable and so much i love BBS i think he was highly 'influenced' by him!
sadly, but i noticed the drip sneakers will be not longer produced??? you are from munich, is the 'hide (m)' fashion store worth a visit...
Yeah absolutely! Holger carries all kind of exciting avantgarde brands..! If you are in Munich I would go to hide (m) and also Samsa G Tuchwaren if you’re into CCP ✌🏽
this is kind of crazy David but you predicted the fashion that's blown up this year - Avant Garde x Techwear
Clutch video. Just ordered a pair of Tornado's after watching from 13:00 onwards...
Awesome! Congrats on the Tornados 🍻
Another insightful video! What’s that card holder/wallet you’ve been using? I see you switched it up to Red now.
Thanks Francis! I have a small Avantgarde leather brand (@atelier.skinnosh on IG) and I am making these myself.. I will soon launch a new online shop where it will be available to purchase. Cheers
David Moseer thanks for the info, if you are making them, I’d be glad to support! Hope you ship to the United States 🤞🏼
@@DistinguishabIe Awesome! Of course I do :) I will update the website in the next couple of weeks.. Thanks again for the interest
mainstream downstream is the show u are talking about and it were real models
you should film a reaction to a cobbler when you bring in some ccp, would be entertaining lol
Haha yeah that would be hilarious! 😂😂
Are there any brands that produce boots in similar silhouette to tornados? Also, that's a great video.
Thanks! A1923 does a very similar boot.
Danke, dass du auf die Aussprache eingegangen bist! Manche Leute kennen jedes einzelne Stück von ihm und sagen den Namen immer noch falsch🤧
Haha stimmt
acronym always get reference from Rick Owens, and Errolson himself also wear Acronym together with Rick Owens and other Avantgarde brands.
If he's from Austria, is it Christian oder Kristian (Chris-tee-ahn
Hey when you say Culatta leather, are you referring to cordovan? Anyway awesome video
There are so many different CCP horse leathers (COIL-PTC, CORPIB-PCC, CORS-PTC, CORV-PTC, CUBA-PTC, CUBS-PTC, CUL-PTC) but to my knowledge, Cordovan is a bit thinner than Culatta even though it comes from the same parts of the horse (butt area). Also, difference in scaring and texture.
David Moseer oh thanks for the Info
To my knowledge, cordovan has become a catch-all term to refer to horse leather.
Shell cordovan is the membrane under the skin at the butt.
Culatta is a cut of horse hide that spans the butt, belly, and shanks, so you get these different textures on the same leather. Like in David's nados, there's the scarring, smooth, and suede all on the same hide.
Great piece btw!
That breakout CCP showcase with the corpses on the river was from 2004
Nice video man. Shame you didn't talk too much about his tailoring! That's his favorite, after all. He was raised doing leather work so while he is great at it, it isn't what he takes the greatest pride in.
As for the fabrics, they aren't as bad as people claim - chainseam things are pretty anxiety inducing though. I wear his tailoring and jeans daily and haven't had too many issues.
As for tech x artisanal, it's difficult but can be done. The essence of poell and the essence of tech are very similar, both pushing the boundaries of garment construction and the way it interacts with the wearer.
Great comment man! The reason why I didnt talk about his tailoring is because I have only had CCP leather pieces in the past and I dont like to talk about what I havent experienced first hand. But I agree with you 100%!
I talk about artisanal x tech a lot and I dont neccessarily mean one piece scoring in both categories. I also feel like its a nice challenge to mix both aesthetics as a consumer. But thats for a separate discussion I guess ✌🏼
@@DavidMoseer not saying the combination of the two in unity is the goal - rather that they share more connections and similarities than initially apparent. Behind the motivation of each often lies the desire to push the limits of garment construction.
Shame you never got to own his tailoring - I'd certainly recommend it since it fits pretty well with techwear. A friend of mine wears it quite a bit and he's a big arcteryx fan. With the right fabric choices (I'd recommend WIM for this purpose) it can even be pretty comfortable.
But im pretty sure no one abuse their acronym jacket tho, unless people really live with “the context of high performance outerwear that looks cool”, i guess most people in the “high end” is experiencing and reselling.
What about Material on drips?
It's a special latex
Yeah the drips are liquid rubber and the leather is kangaroo
ya how could you sell that coat. crazy
too much cash for just sitting in the closet I guess..
Love the video, right
Ccp is awesome, right
should i know this man earlier ^^ Will u make some ccp's vids in the future ?
Yes one is coming very soon mate! 🤙🏽
@@DavidMoseer ❤️❤️
like your shirt, who did it ?
Thanks! Its from MA+ (Maurizio Amadei)
hey have you ever come across a size 14 fitting pair of CCP boots... a tall boi is in his bag. great video btw.
Yeah man I just stumbled upon a black folded derbie for sale in size CCP12 which could probably fit a true 14.. let me know if you are interested, I can then make the intro to the seller ✌🏼
David Moseer jeez thanks man! I’ll see what happens for my graduation this year and maybe pick it up. I’m @blucksy on IG. Thanks my guy
@@blucksy sure thing man! just hit me up when you're ready!
you should try devoa
Good stuff. I appreciate the idea of the prosthetic jacket being a non-wearable art piece, but Karupt frame it well: CCP is indeed a bit grotesque. (But I would totally wear the drip high-tops in a more neutral color. :) If you have enough BBS pieces, please do a similar video on Boris.
Yeah grotesque is the right word indeed. I aprecciate the ugliness tho haha.. unfortunately I dont have enough bbs pieces to do a similar video atm.
Great video just wanted to say that 'object dying' was created in the 1970s by CP Company :)

⬇️ this is how many times he said "right"
Right - nice vid m8, you german?
Haha yeah man
David Moseer sehr nice man , krass das es das auch in Deutschland gibt

Haha you have now idea how many “rights” I cut out during edits. Need to get rid of that asap, I know.. Working in it ✌🏽
David Moseer nicht schlimm, Natürlicher Prozess. Finde du hast einen sehr interessanten Kanal und Style. Danke für die Videos!
15:25 this point exactly is, in my opinion, the elephant in the room
i thought the people in the water were real people?
Actually the bodies in the canal where real models.
Let's talk about philosophy of avant garde pieces
I kinda have an artisanal tech wear jacket. It was handmade but is definitely tech inspired
Very interesting! Its not easy to find such a thing.
Those "corpses" weren't that fake tho.
stop saying "right"...love the vid lol
I have learned over the months lol
