Nate Deleon Nothing is wrong. I just find it funny that they would run off to Lake Michigan if there are massive Steelhead in Hells canyon and the Columbia River. They probably wouldn’t drive to Michigan and probably wouldn’t get in a plane due to this virus going around. A 37 inch Steelhead isn’t much above average size for this run. Everyone I’ve seen catch a Steelhead it’s been at least 32 inches. Someone hooked into a near 40 incher in my local River.
Epic series!!! After COVID is not a concern you guys should do a 3 day series in every state!!! That would be unprecedented being that our fishing is so regionalized in the USA!!
Covid was never a real concern. Just a normal virus. If you were someone susceptible for bad health. Well it might have taken you out. Other wise, just a government Coo, that helped get the (Great White Hope) out of office. But he will be back, very very soon.
FYI....you launched Oso Grande on the Oregon side and I'm pretty sure your last 2 shots of the valley towns were both in Oregon! We dont mind sharing the glory with Idaho....but half that dam river is in Oregon!!!🤣🤣 Come visit....I'll show you what that Oregon half has to offer! You wont be disappointed! Great series, loved it! Keep knocking it out of the park!! Night gentleman!
Glad you enjoyed our neck of the woods. Living in this area affords us this opportunity that you shared with others an adventure we experience every day on the river.
What a great way to close out this Idaho series boys! Sad to see it come to an end. Watching those sturgeon nibble at the bait reminds me of when I first started sturgeon fishing. I would always jump up and grab the rod then they would stop. I would set it back down and they would nibble again. About enough to drive you crazy. Now I just sit and wait for them to hook themselves. Keep the great content coming!!! Tight lines!
This is by far the best video you have ever put out your conscience is great and your videography is awesome on this video I'm really enjoying watching Jordan catch fish you guys rock and your show is the best ever I'll only watch you forever
My personal opinion on this series is I love it. It's informative I love the local fishing information. If you get sick of catching all the rainbows you can go to Riggins, Idaho. Barely any trout are in the river and the only trout I've caught are bulls. In the summer it's loaded with bass so the trout have a difficult time living the warm water.
Rofl most bountiful place on earth! Remind me, what exactly did washington and oregon do to their salmon populations again? Steelhead populations are just starting to creep up over all, but I wouldn't bank on that with the proximity of those BC salmon farms in relation to your area runs. Remind me of how healthy the deer population is in Oregon as well. Last time I was down there hunting on my grandparents orchard, they were telling us to not take them as there was a disease going through at the time. Healthy elk, but sick deer. Now, I'm just some stupid Alaskan hunter/gatherer, pulled a few gallons of blueberries, roughly 15lbs fresh black morels, 29 coho, a handful of whitefish, and a handful of Sheefish, not to mention the intermittent foraging for lingonberries, lambs quarter, wild onions, spruce tips, porcini mushrooms, I could go on... My point being, the bounty gets better the farther north you go TBH. At least in regards to a more easily available bountiful harvest... Go further north
@@austinholm-mcrae2777 god damn you got angry quick huh I can pick morels and blueberries in my backyard and I live in Idaho you gotta chillax with that lol
As always, badass video Jordan! I've caught more sturgeon than I can count on several rivers in Oregon, but next time we go to Hells Canyon we gotta try for sturgeon too! Are the flows quite a bit higher in the winter vs the summer?
Last minute hook up. What a nice fish. And What a great trip...enjoyed watching Jordans fishing journey, and ripping up the rapids in the jet boat. U should deffinetly do more of these. Informative the whole way. Nice work
Sir... I watch until the end... what I see is those Man there was super super super and super NICE ....!!!!👌... it's feel like those Man was very friendly to every they meet... very good peoples...
Absolutely Epic!! What a great day, I’m calling HCA for later this year! I’ve already got the two day Lewiston trip booked with them for the wife & I in August. Need a late Fall fishing trip now, you’re killin me smalls!
That's an awesome video I can tell stories on the green water river when we go steelhead fishing you can't beat a steelhead on the grill it's not the same as a salmon way much better. Happy New Year's guys
I think the biggest I’ve seen caught in hells canyon was 8’6”. There are bigger sturgeon on the Columbia. I think the Frazier river in bc has even bigger sturgeon.
great video, I love fishing in idaho and your content! The females get up to around 150 years old but not 600-700 years old. If your still in idaho you should check out Jim Schwartz Fishing Pond he has a whole bunch of sturgeon in a pond and knows a lot about them. My wife caught a 6ft sturgeon there.
My notis are hitting when you drop idk why... also adding that Jordan you found your second calling on these intros man I’m telling you nat geo needs you
What the difference between rainbows and steels ? I tried googling it and lots of stuff says they are the same fish ? Please education me I'm a central Alberta boy I only get stock trout and Lakers around here other then that it's pike walleye perch burbot whitefish
Steelhead migrate from the ocean so they are tougher and bigger. In the ocean they are well fed, stronger currents. Can go to the right depths to reach desired habitat temperature.
Where did you guy go..?? ... I wanna catch a fish... I learn how to set up from you but I don't know where I can try...???😞... please tell me some location I can fish
That's what those Penn reels were made for . I have a couple of those squalls myself . My Buddy's call them , wenchises. Also have 4/0 senators also, and a couple of shimono TLD25s so I have the gear . I just need to know how much that trip would per person . Because I would really love to go do that one time .
I fish for Sturgeon with circle hooks and set as hard as I can when the fish is hanging onto the bait. I use 8/0 to 12/0 Gamakatsu hooks. A Sturgeons mouth is built different than most fish so no need to wait for a self set. Next time just set on those bumps and you will hook up.
Sturgeon are fun. I live near the Snake River, but biggest one I've dared go for was only 4 feet. I know an area with some that are 9 or 10, but the gear needed is scary big
I'm just outside Ottawa, Ontario and had a massive sturgeon here take and drop my line for 2 hours before he was on (worm and cheese curd sac work awesome). In the end he was so big he snapped my line (25 lb) and it came back and wrapped around my rod tangled. They are a beautiful fish but man it takes alot of patience.

Barely any Steelhead is under 30 inches this Northwest run. You think they are going to run off to Lake Michigan?

Jordan has catapulted them to where they're at today! Give him a raise!
The boat captain has got mad driving skillz!
That record fish was actually pulled out with mules.
Really
Who else wants to see addicted on some Spey rods for winter chrome !
I would buy any rod from addicted!
Keep your religion to yourself the starving stick has other sites to preach at
Jordan’s effort to put the drone shots was the cherry on top. By far my favorite fishing channel.
Epic series!!! After COVID is not a concern you guys should do a 3 day series in every state!!! That would be unprecedented being that our fishing is so regionalized in the USA!!
Robert McGaughey just adding on, in every state you go to. Target a different species of fish. That would make a epic series!
Impossible
Cowbway It’s very possible lol
