Racing bruh this is racing for 15y olds teenagers - ping ponging crashing retiring debris everywhere causing punctures etc. few overtakes were good but still a lot work to do especiqlly for Pirelli with their shit tires...
No one doubted street circuits. Also even though the race was super fun to watch (due to the cars slipping out and all the restarts) the track is still fucking boring. All those 90 degree turns in the first sector make for pretty boring racing.

- We had a drama movie with 3 safety cars in a row and a red flag
- We had an action movie with the crash between both Force India
- We had fighting movie with Vettel playing ping pong with Hamilton
- We had science fiction movie with Stroll on podium and McLaren on points
- We had comedy with Alonso saying they could win the race

I can't believe this race was 5 years ago already. Probably my favourite race of the hybrid era so far. Full of action, chaos, unpredictable results and a bit of controversy mixed in.

Why he didn't fully accelerate at the end tho when he knew Bottas was so close?
He was full throttle but Bottas had the DRS on the final straight allowing him to overtake just on the line. Stroll couldn't do much to defend his position.

ThatoneElliottfan24 It would be interesting to see how the F1 cars handle the oval section of the track. In fact, the reason why Daytona Prototypes were created is because LMP1s are too fast and dangerous that section.
The happiest podium ever: Riccardo was happy he went from P17 to P1, Bottas was happy he went from last to getting P2 in a photo finish and Stroll was happy he got his first podium

- Toro Rosso misunderstanding at turn 1: Sainz spun by Kvyat
- Bottas and Ricciardo back of the pack after 5 laps
- Max out due to Red Bull-Honda
- Force Indias crash with each other and ruin a possible 1-2
- Massa p3 but has to retire
- Red flag and 3 Safety cars
- Seb and Lewis go nuts in an altercation that will be remembered
- Seb gets stop-go penalty
- Hamilton has to pit because of problem with f*cking headrest (thing drivers put on their shoulders in the car)
- The 2 title contenders go back from p8 and p9 at the half-race
- Stroll P2, Magnussen P3 and Alonso P5 at lap 33
- Seb and Lewis start going back up with Alonso bantering on radio
- Stroll P2 literally 2 seconds before the finish line but Bottas takes him on the line for one f*cking tenth
- Race ends with Ricciardo P1 having done last to first challenge after having been P17
- P2 Bottas, having been P20 and a lap down after the first lap
- Overly criticised Stroll shocks and gets P3
- Alonso gets P9 from pitlane start and no Honda engine blows out, Wehrlein P10 yet again gets points for Sauber.

Every track depends on luck. Baku was boring, today was awesome, Valencia was boring, but it had and amazing race in 2012, Monaco last year was decent, this years was boring as fuck. There is nothing wrong with the tracks themselves.

It’s normal procedure for every restart, pretty much every single safety car restart when the safety car period ends the leader backs up the pack and controls the pace.

Let's not pretend that these sorts of team orders aren't a part of Formula 1 and a practice that all teams and drivers (including Vettel) are used to

Bottas was only ahead in this race because of Hamiltons headrest problem.
GURken He's part of a team. And has a teammate. They work together. Lewis asked if he can slow Vettel if he's not fighting anyone. But Bono confirmed he was fighting to reach Stroll.. request politely denied. Lewis didn't complain.
+FORMULA 1 I feel so bad for Felipe Massa- he could've won this race, what with Hamilton's headrest coming loose, and Vettel's 10 second stop go penalty. It would have been his first win, since that fateful Brazil 2008 race at Interlagos. Just when everything seemed to be going his way, the rear damper gave up on him. But huge respect to Massa, he didn't let his disappointment stop him from being happy for his team-mate's maiden podium. I hope one day Massa gets that win (or maybe even a championship), for being a good sport throughout his career (especially at Brazil 2008), as well as his admirable personality.

Sadly it's true, almost no one noticed when wehrlein gets points... at Austria 2016 because Rosberg's tyre puncture, at Catalunya 2017 because Kimi's little fan who cried and Baku 2017 because McLaren got points
Jraybay Whe just got the points because the team ordered Eri to let him pass because he was on newer tyres and could maybe catch Alo. Eri also had a damaged floor wich made him a bit slower. but Whe didn't catch Alo and he didn't let the position back... So does he really deserve those points when Eri actually did the hard work?

On which planet? Verstappen braked in Saudi when Hamilton was about to go past and caused a collision and all he got is 10s penalty when he was 20s ahead of next driver, ie nothing. During these years Verstappen was crashing into drivers every other week and making double moves under braking and getting nothing cos FIA was so keen for him to succeed. You’ve obviously started watching F1 last year after hearing about Max on twitch 🤣

He wanted to let Hamilton pass him in order to get slipstream on a straight and overtake, Hamilton knew this and didnt want to overtake him because of it. F1 drivers have one of the best reaction time, especially Lewis and youre telling that Max brake tested him so suddenly that he didnt react in time? lol, Lewis knew exactly what he was doing.

Best race i seen in last few years.
That is how F1 should be, overtaking on the track, not in the pit lane. Some hard fighting until last moment. Bottas taking the 2nd place on the finish line, spectacular.
This track also shows, that the F1 got soft. Here drivers had to show their skills to finish the race without crashing somewhere.
I enjoyed it.
Arhey it kimda comes from 2 ways why risk the race when you already score points and why risk destroying a 10 milion dollar car alot of teams already have trouble keeping there teams that why the rules keep the rnd back, so merc and Ferrari don’t bully the small teams out

@@maximilian1647 in 2017 it was not brake test hamilton even braked later than one lap before. Vettel got penalty because he touched hamilton car. But the penalty was definetely out of line max would get no penalty from same move so it's not fair other drivers get stop and go penalties from doing that.
@@pena380 vettel got away lightly. He should have been dsq'ed. Intentional contact should be instant DSQ at any speed. I like Vettel but that behavior has no place on a race track.

One of the most awesome race in history. Ricciardo was P16, Bottas P18 after 10 laps. VET HAM incident. And lots of overtakes.
