@@DavidMartin-mg6kr to be fair they've done only a few shows since a decade and are likely to do another haitus. luckily i took that opportunity to see them in vegas with cap'n jazz and american football
Ik that im 3 years late to this video and i hate to be like that but, the first dance-punk record was damaged goods in 1978, and there were many others in that time between 1978 and 1999
This rocks remind me to watch more of your stuff
One of the most depressing things about this band is that they never got big and they never had the chance to sell out.
And yet they later released music that sound like they sold their souls but their end of the bargain wasn't held up.
they signed to a major label but then all the label mergers happened so they were dropped
great video. also 8 1/2 minutes is about the sun burning out, the talk about nukes is trying to Kickstart the sun again, etc.
I think Travis is an amazing singer, he has incredible charisma and everything he sings on this album is crystal clear and poignant.
"You are Invited" is an S tier track - it's not about how "things work out," it's a Borges-style short-form bit of magical realism
both can be true, can't they? borges' stories were never magical realism for magical realism's sake.
Bruh tf? You are invited is not a skip? Shit is so fire
its a zoomer take. when the album came out that was THE song to listen to. especially live
i didnt like it as much as the other tracks tbh but i do like the songs message a lot
@@ab8817 I feel like this youtuber probably never saw them live

Spider in the Snow is top, first 2 lines are iconic
they are one of my all time favorite bands (if not favorite) up there with limb lifter

Such a genius album by such beautiful artists.
also i just have to say, You Are Invited is one of if not my favorite track on the album.
I always come back to this video to regain perspective on one of my favorite albums.
The songs get even better when you listen to the lyrics
this album is a fucking banger, the video too
3:19? the fuck? no? its barely even dance punk ever and the genre started in the late 70s. did u mean something else or whats that about.
