I feel that too. People say Coturnix tend not to go broody but maybe it’s just because so many are kept on wire with little or no spots they could nest.
Hi Sid. I bought it on Amazon. Do a search for small animal grass house and you should see some examples. Don't know if this exact one is still available but there are plenty of others.
that is amazing. did you end up having to seperate them when the eggs hatched? that is wonderful to see. did any hatch? I saw one video where the female had some hatched eggs and she was very protective. watching your video's leaves me with a peaceful feeling. I greatly appreciate them. You have a blessed day.
Hi there. Sadly the eggs didn't hatch. I think she was sitting on too many and couldn't cover them consistently. However, literally yesterday we had a broody quail hen hatch out seven little ones. Videos on this will follow soon :)
sorry to hear of the 1st one. how many eggs was she sitting on. it was enough for two hens. that is wonderful about the 2nd. same house or different. maybe it was contagious. lol. that make you a grandma. how's it feel to you. big smiles and have a blessed day.@@mygardenanddinosaurs
Hi Debbie. I use a hemp bedding called Aubichick. It stays fresh for ages and any poos you miss just dry out and disintegrate. I use it for my chickens too.
Hiya Ali. I will keep the chicks. I don’t need boys but will look after the inevitable boy contingent and try to rehome some. Girls will be integrated into the existing flocks. I don’t know how successful Caroline will be at hatching but time will tell. 😊
Hi Nick. Sorry I meant to get another video up regarding this. She sat for 20 days then got off. Nothing hatched sadly. I opened a few up and certainly some had started growing. I think she was set on too many and so the heat wasn't consistent enough. If there is a next time I will prevent the other girls adding eggs to the nest. It sad but she seems unphased by it. Thanks for your interest. Mags

Bless her, there's so many eggs and she's only so big, but she's trying. Very sweet, I hope she has some success!
Hi Liz. She is a trier that's for sure. I do hope for her sake she hatches some little ones.
Lovely to see. She must be so contented in her home

What do you do with the chicks 🐥 once they hatch? It’s so cute though watching here push them under her body ❤, Ali 🌦️🇨🇦
