I checked this software out after Macrium Reflect stopped its free version. It can create a rescue bootable USB thumb drive. Which is all I need for backups and restores. Agreed, it is great software. But I will keep using Macrium Reflect as long as my hardware is supported with the last free version. Old habits are hard to break.
I checked it out and it works quite well. Only gripe I have is that it's not seeing my second SSD at all. Also using the recovery disk to backup or restore could have been done better - because there's no networking right off the start. You have to go to network settings first, so this is quite inconvenient. I mean it's free but there are better options.
Nice. This was on my list of things to try when I stick an NVMe drive in a system currently running from an SSD. My worry was that it wouldn't clone from a larger to a smaller drive but your vid showed my exact use case so thanks for that :)

@@mikesunboxing Wanted to give an update just in case other have the same issue. Tried cloning a 1TB NVME to a 2TB NVME twice. Both times the cloning got to 99% in about 12 minutes and there it stopped both times. I waited for over an hour past those 12 minutes, but it never finished the clone. I had to turn my PC off. When I did that, it corrupt my bcd and I ended up having to rebuild my EFI. This might not be for the faint of heart.
Excellent piece of software to keep those all important backups up to date.....just in case. not seen this one before and judging by your review it looks slick. thanks Mike and Kath.
Brilliant, I have downloaded it, but not used as yet.. That is amazingly fast, I only use Samsung NVME drives and Samsung software is very slow at cloning.. Cheers Mike & Kath..
I think I understand. In my case, operating system and programs are on drive C, and data on D. So for a complete clone image, it sounds like I should use Sytem clone, correct ?
Wow totally impressed! My operating system is currently on 1Tb nvme which I partitioned so half is for media. My problem, or so I thought, was replacing this with 2TB nvme and having to go thru the hassle of reinstalling all my apps! So am I to understand this will transfer my os without the need to reinstall! Brilliant! Do i trf each partition separately as would want to keep os in 500gb but increase 2nd partition to 1.5Tb? Great timing so thank you Mike and Kath 👍

Hasleo is a company with a good rep. Their UEFI tweaking tools are excellent so its not like they came from nowhere with this. Free is great 🙂

Yea it seems to use shadow volume copy so will work right back to 7 I think

i believe this may be correct, but i have not tried it myself

What is the difference between the system clone & disk clone?
sometimes the system had be on multiple or single partition, disk clone covers the entire disk, but not necessarily the whole computer

really it is up to you, you can just clone the C: or the whole disk.

Did you expand the main partition, it looked like it wanted to pack them tight and leave the rest empty
no i left it as it was
This won't clone my main drive to an SSD plug into a USB like I can with Acronis
is acronis free? if not that is a good reason to pay for extra software features
