I have this mutual reception too! Though mine is the 7th house mars in Virgo and 9th house Mercury in Scorpio, and only sextile by sign, not degree. I’m definitely a wordsmith!
About Jeff Buckley: I can't help but share this about him for those who might not know, and to me it's on par with his Mars in Virgo in some ways as well, did you know his dad the singer songwriter Tim Buckley which he didn't grow up with and had no contact with (...), had one of his songs, Song to the siren, from the 70s covered by the Cocteau twins in the 80s through a project called This mortal coil and that Jeff grew up loving this song (not sure he knew its original was his own dad's...) and loved the singer Elizabeth Frasier. Well, much later, I believe in the 90s, Liz Frasier and Jeff met and they fell in love, started a relationship and I'd say about a year later (don't quote me on that) Jeff drowned in that river...
Strange fate, strange how he seemed to be led to a call to his siren, so to speak...

It's very interesting to hear the difference in the quality of your voice - somehow you seem much less "in your head" now - much more relaxed voice and more present somehow.
PS I have natal Mars in Virgo, too - Mars 29 deg Vigo, conjunct Sun at 00deg Libra, with both within orb of Moon at 26deg Virgo - all in 11th house.🤔

My ascendant is virgo with mars, south node, Jupiter, Uranus
I have this placement natally except Mars is retrograde, all the descriptions ring true however I feel more protected and cautious with the tool than to be front line in the battle, or have a tragic death metaphorically speaking

I’m still watching/listening to these only in context to a soon to start solar return chart that I STILL haven’t analyzed yet. (Still on a break with astrology). The humor, I did see mars in virgo in the chart but only looked enough to say “it’s in mars terms, this is more constructive by pattern” without actually realizing that means it’s conjunct the ascendant and rahu in my natal. I’ll be positive and just say that seems like a problem for others and not myself. If I recall, it’s also conjunct mercury in virgo but mercury is in Jupiter terms and the moon is also there in virgo. Moon tends to symbolize what I’m physically or presenting engaged in since it has a specific natal meaning. I’m still just “dipping my toes” back into the astro pool.
Positive story to explain why: the Venus in Leo episode put my mind back on the 12 links of dependent origination which I set aside sort of mentally overwhelmed on where to actually start. It hit me, just start where that does symbolically; the 1st link, the 1st house/ascendant. Duh.. right away, you can use the simplified key terms with the links by trine. The ascendant as ignorance, trines the 5th which is sensory pleasures/displeasures which trine the 9th which is clinging/grasping. With more complexity, it’s easy to look at dynamics related to topics like the 4 attachments. Lazy copy paste: ignorance can cause a person to cling to sensory pleasures or displeasures (5th) that then cause us to “cling to people, things, or ideas in the mistaken belief that they will bring us lasting happiness and fulfillment. Attachment arises from our desire to feel secure, comfortable, and control of our lives”. Ideas and mistaken belief seems to describe the 9th. This came up in the Supreme Court case where the prior case was cited that the purpose of higher education is to teach studies HOW to think, not WHAT to think. It was used to highlight that college admissions always used these methods utilizing diversity as a highly valued aspect to college to challenge students with different views/experiences. However, it was viewed as unconstitutional only allowed as a form of reparations which had an unintended consequence of nepotism. Meaning, it was intended to help students who were born in bad school districts in historically marginalized regions but boxes were being checked by privileged zip codes. Also, it wasn’t long ago that the Asian community was put in concentration camps in the US and stayed segregated. Yet, by population percentage, the Asian community is “over represented”. It also degraded the value of degrees in the workplace as being a “lesser earned” education. It was only struck down to be re-written to address problems, it had a projected end date of 2025.
Drifted, but the point: the trines degrade by strength/awareness. angular/succedent/cadent and yes, the 9th is likely (by nature) a bad or difficult house despite the trine with the ascendant.
I’ll add, the sign sympathy system looks to shine in this system. Yet, I’m still very disengaged to actually try to flesh that all out.
Maybe I should study why astrologers on RUclips have higher voices in older casts. 🤔
Kidding. I noticed that I actually pitch my voice up in some situations for some weird reason. Plus, it sounds like a better microphone in recent videos.

Mars transit conjunct Jupiter natal in Virgo in 11th wholesign house trine transit Jupiter in Taurus… eventually the transit mars trines my natal Uranus and Neptune conjunction in Capricorn and my natal sun, venus and mercury in taurus! I was CONCIEVED under a venus retro in Leo - so peak!
People often assume Im a Scorpio - and I was always confused - why?
Mars in Virgo in 6th is my chart ruler (I’m a Leo/Aries with Moon in Leo), but I guess they always see that cold Mars. Also, I’m always surprised when they say how cold and detached I am, given that I constantly feel fire inside and I’m always driven by my intense impulses - now I get what they see on the outside.

I've been obsessed by cars n motor cycles all my life. The day Mars recently conjuncted my Mars l brought a *Red* Peugeot Diesel. It goes like _a cut snake_ (Aussie slang for very quick). The first red car I've ever had and funny that the NN is entering my 10th as well.

#grabbed Mars in Virgo... So I found myself protesting with my daughter in front of Warner Bros. headquarters in NYC yesterday for the actors union, SAG. We chanted loudly in a "call and response" militant fashion, "what do we want?" recited the the chant leader, "Contracts!" we all replied, then he said, "when do we want them?", and we said, "NOW!"...and this went on, back and forth for several hours as we demanded so with our picket signs. We both lived out the "Rosie the Riveteter" archetype in that moment. And from what I've learned from astrology is that Virgo in the mundane sense represents worker unions, also associated with the 6th House of Labor. I'm a Virgo Sun and I couldn't be more supportive of my daughter and her career and with Mars now transiting my 9th House, the strike had my full passionate support when my daughter told me that she was going downtown to protest. You would have thought I was the head of the chant squad by how loudly my voice thundered between the towers of downtown NY echoing for all to hear. We pumped our fists in the air, we slurred sideways from our mouths, "What is outrageous?", "Low union wages"...it was emotionally hot, charged and there we tears flowing, sweat dripping, rain, drumming...after we let out that energy, after we let out that energy, what my daughter explained as Chango energy...the Orisha of drumming, dancing, thunder, and fire, the God of Lightning and War, we went to "Paul's da Burger Joint" in the East Village for our working class 1/4 pounder burger, we had had a day. The t-shirt reads, "SAG-AFTRA Strong" and indeed, we exhibited the astrology of "The Strength of Mars in Virgo"...I appreciate you both you and astrologer Christopher Renstrom for these two teachings on Mars in Virgo.
