The most important tip is to have a first aid kit next to you, from what I've heard this game will rearrange your furniture and break fingers.
One of the first times I played this I damaged my railing and scuffed my tv! i just ended up shortening the 3 foot by 3 foot barrier by a few inches and now I can't reach anything unless I really ignore my barriers.
During my second game i smashed my right hand into my bedpost and wardrobe like 15 times

I've been playing for about a week and haven't hit anything. I think I rely on smooth turning too much or I'm playing the game wrong.
Here's some extra pro tips -
1.) When traveling on the ground, try to gain as little height as possible since it takes away from your forward momentum.
2.) Try using your wrist when you throw yourself, it adds extra force with less energy.
3.) When climbing up using the hug method, make sure to throw yourself upwards, this will make climbing a lot faster.
4.) There are many routes up the hollow tree that are much faster than the wall jump at the back, try jumping to the branches at the sides.
5.) On the platform to the left of the wall jump you can climb the small tree's branch to get to the top of the tallest tree significantly faster.
6.) As a colored monke, you have a less powerful jump than a lava monke, so do not ever try to wall jump against a lava monke, instead use the hug method.
7.) You can climb up steep surfaces the same way you climb up trees, it just requires you to be faster and more precise.
1) I probably should have made that clearer. Yeah it's the same concept with climbing a wall. You get more height the more parallel the push is to the wall, so it's likewise wit the ground.
2) I started noticing that after making the video! I'll have to share that in a later video and ask the dev, Lemming, what causes it to work because I thought that there was only one point of impact for the hands, but I guess not.

4) Yeah, that will be covered in the routing video I create. I just wanted to show basic things that everyone tries to do in this video.

6) Yup, I've noticed that, but there are ways to avoid getting tagged on walls that I'll also cover in the next tutorial.
7) Yeah, when there are convex corners you can climb the wall. It takes more skill the closer to a flat wall it is, but it's possible.

legit the most satisfiying thing ever in gorilla tag is jumping over a rock/magma monkey thats chasing you
you gotta love when you actually start to freak people out with your *speed*
Oh and also, have a REALLY big play space, like a play space 3x bigger than you, if you don't you will hit a lot of things and break like 12 bones.

i have the smallest bedroom in my house..
I play in a small area but I make sure to face the long side of my bed, since it's a large space with no hard objects above waistline height (having no headboard/footboard also helps). It works well with gorilla tag since you rarely have to reach low or walk around.

pro tip, you want to dull your sense of pain as much as possible because you will inevitably hit something, really damn hard.

A little tip for climbing the outer walls, kind of turn your body so it matches how the wall is angled.

I love this type of tutorial! The editing reminds me of Game Theory's older videos, also splitting up the tips into sections overall making it easier to understand! That's a great video format to have.

i would definitely recommend getting a vr headset if you dont have a pc i recommend a oculus quest 2 i have one and use it for a while each day and you can download gorilla tag on one
Get quest or quest 2 if you don’t have a pc and learn what app lab is to play it
Another fun game is “echo vr” kind of gets you sick though going high speeds

Tag lag is actually where you tag someone and they don't get tagged. It happens normally with the whole server but in some cases worth one person. What you mentioned is a delay so you can't tag people immediately. Others say tag lag is when a delay happens and you get tagged from far away, to a point where it's impossible to get tagged but thats a delay. The other person's screen shows that they got tagged while the other screen shows they didn't get tagged. Otherwise, everything here is correct.

Extra tip turn on smooth turning I found it worked best with speed four get off the ground by jumping on falling off something stick you arms out And start spinning. You turn into a helicopter monke and fall slow/stall in the air

For slow falling, you can use it to get away mid-air while the taggers on the ground can't get to you, or you can use that time to plan your next escape plan.
I feel like it's a bit hard to plan when you're spinning, but if you can then more power to you, but you also can't control where you're falling to so people chasing you can just wait where you're going to land.

Ok to wall climp just put your hands as a trangle and then just always keep Them at that angle.

Make sure you are in a big enough room. I just got it today and my bedroom is too small I hit my hand on my desk a couple times and it hurt.

there is a way to stop tag lag put your hands up side down then push down it will launch you up so your out of tag lag
