UIA vs. SkyUp vs. Windrose vs. Motor Sich: A Ukrainian Airline Comparison

- Hello everyone, today I am presenting you with a different type of video from the usual flight review. After taking all four major Ukrainian airlines in the past year, I thought it would be good to make a compilation video comparing them and deciding who is actually the best airline. The opinions expressed in this video are my own and based solely off of flights I took. I did my best to present accurate info, but things may have changed since I flew a particular airline or may get outdated over time. Sit back, relax, and enjoy!

Actually SkyUp seats do recline, but the lever is under the seat like in a car! Took me few flights before somebody told me this secret))

Windrose ATR-72 has less legroom (than E145), but it's not critical for short flights.
Motor Sich didn't provide complimentary sandviches in flight IEV - ODS 8 days ago, just small bottle of water. But there was no info about food in the web site and ticket, so I'm not sure that they don't feed passengers at all
Thank you very, very much)) I am hoping to try the ATR 72 soon, maybe this summer. Really sad to hear that about Motor Sich... hopefully that’s not permanent.
My wife (who is from Ukraine) and I booked a group tour from Boryspil to Barcelona. We flew with Windrose on both flights. They charged for everything, nothing free. The return flight was horrible. Our departure was set at 17:15 and we were at the gate at 16:00. Boarding was to begin at 16:40, however the airplane was no where to be seen. We then noticed the monitor saying flight delayed until 19:00. About 18:00 the departure was updated again showing departure for 21:00. The airline, Windrose neglected to have a crew and airplane, they had to call up the crew in Ukraine, fuel the plane and fly to Barcelona. The airplane finally showed up at 23:45. They did offer everyone a free sandwich and drink, imagine that.
Sounds terrible! Yeah I’ve found some charter flights to be really unorganized and chaotic.
Such a great idea! I pretty much agree! Obviously I've only flown UIA and Motor Sich but I really think SkyUp is the best of them. Sure Motor Sich is great for all avgeeks.. But their website is absolutely rubbish 😂 I remember checking in with them on a random square in Lithuania a day before we flew to Ukraine and I had absolutely bo clue what I am doing since the website kept switching to Ukrainian which I didn't speak back then 😂 in UIA I really enjoyed the pre ordered meals.. But all in all I think SkyUp will win. 💪 Спасибо большое

SkyUp never again! the worst airline I've encountered!!! Disgusting, impudent company, canceling already paid flights and not refunding passengers money for tickets!
That is truly unfortunate, sorry about your experience. Maybe you'll be able to try UIA instead?
