Underappreciated video. I think a lot of the music from this short-lived franchise influenced and even foreshadowed my taste of music as an adult. I was only about three years old coming across the demo and being absolutely blown away by the track, "Labrat" The entire soundtrack is worth relistening and even buying with the extra bonus tracks thrown in.
about bosses being easy, I agree, but I remember there was a boss I had a hard time beating. I think It was a flying brain . Nice retrospective, I enjoyed it !
Parallax scrolling was common on the Amiga. In fact, it was done extremely well on the Commodore C64 version of Flimbo's Quest...a great platform game back in 1990.
Awesome Review. Was my favourite game back in the year 2000 when I first played this game. For some strange reason I just googled this game today, which led me to their Wiki page and I found out that this game was rereleased by GOG in 2017. Did not know what GOG was, so checked it, created an account and searched for Jazz Jack Rabbit, and you know what, the Jazz Jack Rabbit 2 collection was being given as a free Giveaway today with 2 hours 43 minutes left (when I created my account and logged in) for that giveaway to end. Such a happy and an unexpected coincidence.

No mention of Tube Electric soundtrack? That's handsdown the best track, all though i prefered the first jazz jackrabbit version of it.
Cool video, I like it...
But why didn't you mention JJR 2+ in this video? It adds a lot of bug fixes and quality of life improvements.

Nah man. The game is good but not the best. I put my vote on Super Meatboy.
That's like 2 decades later haha.
