Great video! The Theory of Everything is very underrated/underappreciated when it's a really great film.

I felt exactly what you discussed here when I sae the movie yesterday. You get a sense of coldness and loneliness that he is going through at the last shot of this scene. I was looking for the deception of consistent use of circular imagery in the movie, instead found this. Thanks

You had more to say about a minute and thirty five seconds of a scene than most analysis of entire films. Bravo. Theory of Everything is such a treat. I'm glad you recognized the thought behind the work.

Gotta say I'm honestly really impressed with how you cracked the scene but I got a question. Why exactly did they position Steve's left eye in the middle of the frame? So people can focus on the reaction in his eyes? And when Steve's face got trapped between the top and bottom of the screen does it suppose to make us feel cooped up too? But again thanks for the analysis

Fantastic video. I'm going through now and watching all the rest you have up. Really great editing and content, and you choose to cover films that I don't see people talk about as much.

Another amazing video...the lack of "likes" and comments on this is criminal. For the longest time i couldn't figure out why most of the scenes that are supposed to evoke emotion just feel boring. I thought it was because they all seem the same; i was half right. They all use the same flawed approach.

1:29 it's also because it was shot on anamorphic which tends to result in off-centre barrelling like that
