  • We were kicking around the idea of putting in an orchard or just a bunch of wildflowers. We decided it would be best to get trees in the ground as soon as possible instead of waiting another year and it turned out awesome. Now we have peaches, apples, pears, plums, and pecans. When my wife wanted to turn the entire 1/2 acre pen next to our house into a garden, I was pretty overwhelmed at the thought of doing that, but I'm really glad we did it now. It's been a lot of fun and I've been able to get the kids outside way more doing things we all enjoy. Hope you enjoy the video.

I'm gonna need one of those plumbs! That clip where the longhorn turns and looks at the drone is sweet. What time is your daily neighborhood cattledrive btw?

Dang Phil 30 ft is too much. You can plant some smaller trees in between. That way you can have 15 ft spacing.

Yeah the plan is to plant some more trees. I just figured if it says the trees have a 20’ span then I should plant them a little more than 20’ apart, one so I could still drive through them, and 2 so in case one doesn’t get as tall as another one it’ll still get plenty of sun.

@@PhilDoesItAll if you crop the tree while it’s still young you can keep it smaller and it will still yield a ton of fruit.
