100% Agree and I also was there for Group C/GTP/GT1. Went to Imola and already planning next year. The Hypercars themselves aren't as awe-inspiring as Group C/GTP, but the racing is so much better.
#metoo The Silverstone 6 Hours classic - warm up before Le Mans. The original Rothmans 956 chassis 001 being fettled at 11pm in the pits after a good curry in Northampton. Lancia Martini's popping and banging but oh so quick. Later the Spice's and the de Cadanet with Desire' Wilson - good times
Next year is even more healthy but no more Chip Ganassi Cadillac tho 😭😭😭😭

The pinacle of motorsport is finally back
Depends on what you define the pinnacle of motorsport. If you define the pinnacle of motorsport as good racing with tons of manufacturers, then it's WEC. If you define the pinnacle of motorsport as the best that racing technology has to offer, that title goes to F1. For me personally, it's the latter, but I love WEC all the same
@@mrsoisauce9017WEC cars are more technologically complex than F1, with infinitely more input required from the driver as well. Every F1 driver says this, particularly since Hypercar began. A glance at the respective steering wheels bears this out, WEC drivers aren't babysat like in F1.
F1 has lost its way but will respond to WEC eventually, as usual ie: grid girls, carbon neutral fuel (sort of) female participation, tyre warmers etc. As for being advanced, there'll be a working hydrogen combustion WEC LMH hypercar at Le Mans next month. F1 has so far developed a "Hydrogen working group"

@@mrsoisauce9017 The go karts corner quicker because they're light with downforce, but they're so draggy as a result they give them a little flap to get rid of some as a treat. 😄
As for night and day, only endurance can do that. F1 cars can't last 4hrs, never mind six times that.

GT3 to WEC was the best decision ever
I absolutely love WEC. Excellent and very competitive racing. I used to feel the same about F1, but it has changed so much it’s like watching a movie with one or two leading actors with everyone else playing the supporting role. Nearly always on sided.

The numbers keep increasing. Your horrible broadcasting does a great deal of harm, though. The rest of the world gets IMSA live and free but you all cop endless ad breaks.

There are times where I really feel for the flagmen. It cant be easy having to wave a flag for the lengths of time they have to.
But the upside is, you get to watch these amazing cars track side and get to hear the hybrid engines.
This is the first year iv watched every race. As an EX F1 fan, im now hooked on WEC. Bring on LeMans 24.
