Great video! I'm looking at a 2018 model for some light water sports and fishing... Think it'll work for a family of 4? A demo ride on yours sure would be nice 😊

One of the best true shallow video demo of the blue wave STL.
I’m on SPI and all of the people I know have shallow sport or dargel. Do people really need 6 inches of water to fish?
I like BW because of the price and how family friendly it looks. It looks like an all round family and fishing boat.
    Thanks again.

Great video! I'm thinking of getting the same boat for use around Aransas Pass and Rockport, of which I am unfamiliar with and have concerns regarding depth. Your video is all I have found on how this boat handles shallow water. I can't afford a Majek or Flats Cat or any other Texas made shallow water boat, so looking for an alternative. What year is this boat and how long have you owned it? How has it held up? What is minimum depth to get on plane? Your answers are appreciated.

It is a 2011 and I’ve owned it three years. It has held up well, no complaints on the boat.
If you want to check it out or go for a ride on it I’m on NPI and it only takes about 30 seconds to get it in the water! Always looking for a reason to go out. Haha.

I’m guessing it is probably 18” or so to plane. Maybe a little less. I’ve found it planes easier rolling on the throttle i stead of punching it, as the rear doesn’t drop as far.

@@fosterrandy Thanks for the info and ride offer. Unfortunately I am near La Grange so about 3 hours for me but I'll keep it in mind.

Oh, by the way how is rougher water with 20 mph plus winds?

One of this boats strongest points is how it handles waves. The wind always blows here and the BW does great. Next time I’m out I’ll try to catch some video of it in bigger waves.

Would you think it Is an ease to hit up the rigs off the coast in this boat that you can see from the beaches heading out of packery?

If the weather is right you could go out there. Have to be careful entering or exiting the Packery Channel if there is any wind or rough waves.
However, it is definitely more designed for running in shallow water then out in the Gulf.
