    Dear Brittany and Daniel,
    Willeke and I had some fun when you were loading the Cadillac hearse on the trailer at the moment there was said: “we need to lift the body”. With a hearse this did sound for us hilarious 😀.
    What a bunch of cars this junk yard has by the way.
    We look forward to your next vlog and send you love from the Netherlands

    Superior Coach has built funeral hearse vehicles in Lima Ohio for years and years. They're still doing these conversions today there and selling them around the country. It's highly likely it was built there.

      Thank you! David plays a crucial role in saving all these vehicles from instantly being crushed; now they can live on for someone else to pick up then fix or go on as parts to help other's fix their cars.

    I thought I had a rare hearse, mine is just a 1977 Chrysler Town & Country hearse I got last year for free for helping my friends daughter with his estate after his passing. So far after year of work she is ready for her first drive in 30 years. I hope it will be, well not a show stopper at the Mopar Nationals but it will be the only one like it. And it will be the only Chrysler at the hearse rally in Michigan, to bad thay don't hold it in Hell Michigan anymore, thay out grew the facility. Don't see very many Pontiacs there either or at all. Very interesting though! Hope to see more video of the hearse in progress.

      Wow! I don't think I've seen one of those before. That's awesome you've got it to the point of being ready to drive! We haven't heard of that show, I will see if I can find some information on it. Thank you!

    The 1956 on the front of that Buick was good in 1956, but as soon as 1957 came around, people were unhappy to be advertising that they were driving last years’ model.

      I didn't think about that aspect; nowadays its a cool feature but back when it was new I could see how that would be a slight bummer.

      It's not Daniels preferred method of getting a vehicle on the trailer; but it lifted the car and got it off the stuck points along with putting down pressure on the trailer.

      It is, that is why we took all backroads from Kentucky back to Georgia. It would have been much faster to just hit the interstate but we were trying to be cautious as possible hauling heavy.

      Our plan is to go through it to get it road ready then we will have a tow vehicle we can sleep in. We will often sleep in the vehicle when we are on our way to events and having a pre 1980 vehicle we can do that with has been one of our wants. We use our blue 77 F150 shop truck to haul with but it's not comfortable for both of us to sleep in on the road.

    All that weight hanging on the tow ball. You lucky somebody didnt get the bones broken or heads smashed. Flat tyres on the rear. Locked up brakes on the rear. And you knew you was comming back to collect. Micky mouse opperation. And im only ten mins in. Hard on Equipment. Now i got to watch the whole deal. Lol.

      We are just working with what we have. I've been doing this for 15 years with almost no budget. All our stuff gets the job done and we have always managed to get home safe. This one was actually one of the easier ones we've pulled all things considered. I maintain all my equipment, if i didn't we would not be successful in doing what we do with worn out garbage. Maybe one day I will have a better budget to get better equipment, but for now I'm doing what I can with what I have.

    • @DenisEdwards-ls2de
      @DenisEdwards-ls2de 4 месяца назад

      @@ResurrectedGarage not talking about old Equipment. It's the process of loading. Jack up the rear remove the wheel and tyre. Remove the hub or unlock the hub to roll. And bring aired up tyres to help lift the rear to load on trailer. Or jack up and put blocks under suspension.. not exactly your average classic. You should put 6x6 blocks under rear of trailer. Tow balls are not designed to be pulled up. And will break or weaken them. Check out Mr Goodpliars and there loading technic. You are staining your winch and cables. Just a little prep will make lite work of the job.. it looks Ameture for fifteen years doing this. I'm still watching. I let you know. Good luck.
