I work for a seafood wholesaler and everything that comes into our factory states where it comes from.... it's the people who are down the chain further who are ripping Aussies off, passing off Chinese scallops as Australian by cooking them in a shell harvested from Aussie water. It should be a law that everyone has to follow....stating where the product comes from....from the boat to the table.... I refuse to buy anything that is not Australian even if it costs 4x the amount. It also comes back to the buyer being TRANSPARENT which a lot of them are not....need I say anymore.
