Yes, she's heavily sedated for this. We had to stay with her for a good hour at least after the vet was done to ensure she woke up enough to leave her.
Yeah sorry about the sound. The video was ad-hoc on my phone because I just happened to be at the barn at the time and the vet agreed to let me film her. You might want to check out this video as well ruclips.net/video/Zx14kwnESW4/видео.html
If there's a name for it I don't know what it is. My wife tells me that some people refer to it as "oiling" the horse. The most important factors seem to be: that the mineral oil is not digestible (unlike other types of oil), and that the oil is put directly into the stomach (rather than attempting to get the horse to drink it).
What was the green content being pumped in? Also how do you know when you reach the stomach as far as know when to stop pushing the hose?
The green content is warm water and electrolytes
I would think its because there's a sphincter in the stomach connecting it to the duodenum that will stop the hose from continuing
is the horse sedated ?

Super nice
What's the name of the metallic tool, the one pumping water in the horse ?
It's just a manual pump. Nothing particularly unique about it.
