Chris, your hardware videos gave me the confidence to tackle modifications myself, your firmware videos enabled me to mess around with marlin and realise it's not that hard to understand, but these types of videos are my favourite, using 3D printing to make useful things.
Chris, this was the reason bought a 3D printer, or at least I told my wife that. I have 2 of Craftsman boxes (40 years of neglect ) that size I am combining into a bigger tool box. You have inspired me that simple and easy is ok.
If you see the future as some of us do then 3d modeling is the one thing that will be more important than 3d printers one day. We are evolving and not towards the typical FDM printer or SLA vat style printers. What wont be going away is 3d modeling. You have been a huge help to the community, myself included. Thanks again for all you do.
Loved seeing Fusion at work - keep doing that!! I was pretty good (sorta good) with Fusion many years ago but have since forgotten most of it. It's such a powerful tool once you get comfortable.
Hi Chris, thanks for showing the Fusion 360 work. It was helpful for someone still learning it. You just showed a quick layout drawing but had some good tool work tips in there too!! Thanks
Sweet. I have a black Craftsman trip deck tool box for my mechanical tools. Right now my sockets are in two of the upper drawers. Once I get my ender back up and running, my 300 x 300 bed should be able to print up some nice trays. Maybe I’ll move them down to a taller drawer THANK YOU MY FRIEND
one tip... When you are modeling for 3d printing you don't just randomly throw 3mm for a wall... You need to make sure that that wall width is divisible by your desired extrusion line width. If you are extruding 0.4 layer width, 3.2mm will give you a faster print and better strenght, since the slicer don't need do to half width extrusions (considering your part is solid). Same concept aplies to the height. I greatly improved my models overall quality and accuracy by following this principle. Better, faster, stronger... Great Video
Nice video Chris! 3d printers are so amazing at custom organization boxes. Have you checked out the awesome video just released yesterday by Zack Freedman about his open Gridfinity system? I am thinking of designing some custom inserts myself!
Nice job on this one again. Could you include tips on how to get the shapes of tools like a hammer or pliers into fusion so we could make holders for this more complicated tools? Stay safe
Great Video ... What about all the Fuzzball dudads and those very important whatchamacallits, that might be somewhat important ..Just cant throw them away
I heard in the new Saw movie, one of the people has to find a certain size drill bit in the drill bit drawer. It was so scary and gruesome people were throwing up in the theater.
HAH, looks just like my tool drawers, this is something I need to do as well. Nice job on the trays, the only thing I would have done differently is put the red tray at the back of the drawer due to it's height and that it is to contain the lesser-used sockets.
@02:09 Oof... I usually print functional parts upside-down with the intent of them picking up the surface finish of the powder coated Springsteel bed as an optical highlight and shit like that would drive me _nuts_ ( well... _would_ doesn't quite cut it... it _absolutely_ does which is why I now have a 2nd Springsteel bed for my Voron 🤣 )

Thank you, these are the kind of videos we like making
Nice work Chris! I really need to do this to my toolbox... Lol
Thanks
Way to go Chris. Practical prints are what make having a 3D printer worth it.
Absolutely! Thanks

I enjoyed the video today Chris! You've presented a good solution to a really common problem, loving it!
Thank you

Yeah it is. Thank you
Hi Chris, thanks for showing the Fusion 360 work. It was helpful for someone still learning it. You just showed a quick layout drawing but had some good tool work tips in there too!! Thanks
Thank you! I don't really use Fusion as I should, but I like the quick and dirty approach.
Love the dirty lesson keep them coming!
Thank you
Excellent video, watching you use Fusion was inspiring. Loved the organizational aspect of the video.
Thank you!
Actually, I wouldn't mind seeing a video on your large format printers, maybe a kinda tour around the print shop...
So am I!👍
That's a goo idea, thanks
Really enjoyed the Fusion at work, keep up the great videos.
Thanks, it's a great tool.

@@ChrisRiley in your previous reply that was in the config your ration.H folder or file correct?
Nice to see the FT-6 printing. Great video!
It defiantly comes in handy!
Appreciate your videos Chris.
Thank you, I'm glad you like them
Ahh 3d printing to the rescue 🤟
Yay!!!

Thank you for your insight
The wrench and screwdriver drawers should be interesting too.
One down, many to go!

I will check it out, good luck with your projects
@@ChrisRiley I also came here to mention Gridfinity..
Great video! I love practical printing!
Me too!
Aaahhhhhh the drill bit drawer? Nooooo………. Too scary! Lol
Not looking forward to that one!
Nice job on this one again.

Lol, Thanks!
Love the vid! Nozzle cams have been grabbing my attention a lot recently, do you have a recommendation for a mk3s+ mount/camera?
It's difficult to find a good one. Check out CNC Kitchen

Lol! It's just like that!
Doing the same @home at the moment, great video with HQ tips Chris :)
Thank you
That printer is 🔥
I love the FT-6!
Chris, Keep going, you will never run out of drawers to organize. I like the useful things videos, but you do need some benchys in everything.
Thanks Dave, I'll try to remember

I would love to see a video about adding a touch screen to your prusa
I'll look into it, thanks
Great Video 👍
Thanks 👍
Hi :) great video :)
Thank you 🤗
Good practical use of 3d printing, love that you have my landscape there in your new setup! Thanks
Thanks for telling what the landscape is. I saw it today and was curious about it.
@@woodwaker1 it is mountain Esja in Iceland, near Reykjavik city
@@3DPIceland Thanks it looks really great. I liked the colors. Got to see it in person yesterday in the basement studio
It was great seeing you Dave.
Martin, that's one of my favorite pieces.
How is your table so tidy ? is it a fake basement ?
