- This is my official detailed review of the LEGO Lord of the Rings Rivendell set 10316. With 6167 pieces this is the largest LOTR set ever produced! It comes with 15 characters figs and 6 statues. Overall it is an insane build and an absolute masterpiece.

This set was provided to me by the LEGO Group - my opinions are my own.
#10316 #reviews #rlfm
This is a piece of art. The design and the execution is amazing. So happy to see Mrs. Bricksie get her hands into the construction. Bravo.
The build is gorgeous and the techniques are genius. Still can’t believe this is a real set, a LOTR dream set. Great review as always man!
Was so excited to see your review of this set! Rivendell is such an excellent example of how far Lego has come since the 80’s. This was always a “bucket list” dream set of mine since I grew up reading the books. I always find your set reviews so thorough and thoughtful. It’s the closest thing to building it myself that I’ve found on RUclips. Thanks again!
Truly a masterpiece! The $500 sets of 2022 were great but most were not perfect in my opinion and left too many moments of ‘if only this bit was different’. LEGO has definitely stepped it up in 2023 and I feel that I can get this set and have no regrets at all; whether it be the build experience, architecture/design, fan service or even the minifigure count and choices (the most common point of controversy), this set seems as perfect as it gets! Thanks for the excellent review as always Bricksie 😁
I still can’t get over how beautiful this set looks , I absolutely love the lord of the rings a ton ,I definitely will get this someday ,just not right now as I don’t have a space to put this beautiful display piece
The real Lord of the Rings anyway. The other newer show i just regard as a strange comedy that did make me laugh a few times but that was about all.
My biggest disappointment with this set is the lack of balconies. When I think of Rivendell, one of the first things that comes to mind is characters talking on balconies overlooking the valley. In general, I really think that for $500 they should have been able to capture more of Rivendell than an incomplete building and an area off to the side.
Nevertheless, it’s still a great set that I might actually have to pick up at some point.
I'm going to add that effect by moving the gazebo and forge section to a lower level. Remember it's lego and you can make it do whatever you want. The set is just a suggestion.
I will be struggling to find a place to display this all the time let alone wishing it was bigger though :)
I kind of agree the roof is a bit too much
This set is absolutely stunning! The architecture, colours, landscaping all come together super nicely! One of the top sets of the year. The waterfall is probably one of my favorite details. Although i have never seen the Lord Of The Rings, but I'm still gonna pick up this awesome set!
Just got the Set last Wednesday, built it in 13 hours and can't stop smiling since. I love the Details, the minifigs, simply everything about it. I am really thinking about creating a RUclips Channel, just to give the main segment a back wall and a surrounding Area. This deserves a wide frame, like the piece of art it is.
That may be the most gorgeous Lego set I have ever seen. Oh my gosh, I rarely want one of the bigger sets (I don't have tons of room) but this I am seriously considering. An absolute masterpiece from Lego *chef's kiss*
I have never watched Lord of the Rings, so all the references in this set are totally lost on me, buuuuuut I WANT IT!!!
I've yet to call any set Lego beautiful, but this is just that, such a beautiful looking set. I'm sold.
Tia for another great review Jordan.
Another great vid! Love the details you share and great to see Mrs Bricksie. Thanks again for the fantastic content!
Beautiful set. I don't know anything about LOTR but the details and vibrancy of this set are impeccable. It just feels completely alive! Loved seeing Josee get some time to build too!
Same on LOTR, but I need this set it’s gorgeous,
To think that LEGO is just beginning to get a feel for LOTR.
Rivendell is the last Homely House in LOTR, what comes before it is even more grande.
Read it if you have time, it's the most beautiful book I've ever opened
Hey loved the video. I remember thinkin the trees in the campground were a little too dense almost to see all the different scenes. These thinner upright tress might helping with opening eyelines in the different scenes going on in the campground.
I agree and usage of different shades of green would make it more realistic.
Someone should get like 4-6 of these sets and build a more elaborate version of this.
Thank you for sharing this epic build with Josee'. I'm itching to get my hands on it myself, though I have to wait another month for when my lego account accumulates.
Those sticker elements are references primarily to the artwork made by Allen Lee for the extended lore and definitely not references to the show (the show is loosely inspired by the same extended lore but does not follow it properly or respectfully) great review though!
I believe the painting of the ship is Earendil and Elwing (Elrond's parents) sailing to Aman to seek help from the Valaar. Great detail.
17:40 in my opinion it's a Sirmarillion reference. Another Tolkien's book
More I see this stunning set and more I fall in love with it. Simply wonderful!!
Rivendell is nice clean set even down to the build of it hope they do more sets like it ! good to see Ms Brickies getting to build some of it ! as for the trees for the campground that would be something to see ! maybe use the roof build for a idea for the Mansion roof make it stand out with tites something to think mod wise.
It is around 600 euro's in the Netherlands. Been a huge Lotr fan but just couldn't justify the price amids inflation., But it looks amazing, to me it is one of the best sets.
Would’ve been so much better if it was 3 seperate sets that’s could combine together
I was on the fence but now definitely picking this up. The boat painting by the way, may be Earendil the mariner. Elronds father, who has a really pivotal and important role.
I managed to get it here in Oz on the VIP day over the weekend. I picked up the LOTR brick heads as well and it was pretty cool this set also came with 2 free gifts being Frodo and Gollum Brickhead and House of the World 1 set.
Gonna save up for this. I’m a casual Lego fan who buys the odd set that references my favourite movies. This is the most beautiful Lego set. The design, use of colour and fan service is incredible. 1st though - Indiana Jones!
wow thanks for fantastic review Jordan
I know nothing about lord of the rings and I want this set so bad it looks incredible and I really want to see it in person because it looks huge especially seeing the back of the main building. This is a massive masterpiece 🎨
I love your videos Jordan!! The Rivendell set is so beautiful, very tempting to buy it for myself!! How's the mansion doing? Looks great!!
Campground, hear Ninjago Mountain, would give you a very nice terrain change, even would let you fit in your treehouse on the other side, while being then quite logical.
Sure, your new modular has to move, but that one would fit way better near the ocean, anyway and fits good with your farm.
So start planning, because it would really fit in, if taking quite a bit of work to make it fit in.
I bet you, you will like the result, when done.
Only thing I would have wished for is one or two more Easter eggs like the eye of Sauron. But so amazing. 😍 😍 😍
wow this set is worth every penny, so many amazing details. the chairs build of popsicles and hotdogs is so creative 🥰
I think the designers were hungry at that point.
One set to rule them all. I'm speechless.
Can’t wait to order this. Luckily my bday is in march, so it’ll be perfect timing🎉
I'm going to get this then sit and watch the full LOTR extended trilogy while I build it.
Fantastic color palette. That roof!
Missed opportunity on the panels in the forge. Could have added some sweet art there. Also thought how the three parts connect was kind of weak...will likely switch for black technic
Jordan i dont have that money dont make me buy it😂😂😂
its beautiful - it will be a great addition to any LOTRs collection
Got the set today, can't wait for it to arrive
Can't wait to buy it on the opening day one, i'm counting days, waited for so long to have agreat Rivendell set location....now is the turn of Minas Tirith one day in the future.😁
I got an idea-snap the spare axe in half, so you have one axe for posing Gimli as he’s about to smash the Ring, and one broken axe for posing Gimli after failing to smash the Ring.
This piece will sky rocket in price ! Get it while u can .amazing piece great review
Do Lego sets skyrocket in price after they come out? I'm not a huge Lego fan, but I want this set, but was wondering if should buy it on release or wait for a discount?
@@jannertheigiby720 me neither I’m not an expert on sets .but from my experience sets like this will sell out fast and will definitely increase price after they become rare year after year
You know i always wanted that gandalf and frodo cart set but could never find it on my country. After a while prices rocketed and i still haven't got one, so watching videos like this is as close to building one i can get, so thanks for that!
I saw the specification on the official website. It said the size is 75*39*50 (width*height*depth in cm).
Is it true? I'm most concern about the depth, since there is no place to fit a set having 50 cm in depth in my house.
It doesn't look like it is 50 cm deep in your video.
this set is huge if well received we will likely get other beautiful cities from LOTR like Edoras or Minis Tirith
An amazing set can’t wait to pick this up!
you could integrate it into the city on the raised platform, in the campground or extend ninjago mountain, it would look soooo cool!
Love the colors and the roof
Beautiful set.... so nice to see Josee' building! Taking one for the team Dad! Good Job! LOL As always a fantastic detailed review. It really helps the community get a visual and first impressions 'feel' for each set you review. LOTR needed a large detailed set, this certainly hits the mark.
I always seem to come to these things late.
But this time, I have the space! To the LEGO store!
this is amazing, I cannot wait to get this! Imma put the treehouse next to it and make it a malorn tree.
This is such a great build. Can’t wait to pick it up myself. I’m even more excited to see images of the upcoming Bat Cave. As always you do great work and love the daily content.
Great review Bricksie for an amazing set! Do you know how deep of a shelf you need to display this set? In the Lego website they have a depth of 20” but looking at your video, it does look the same depth as a modular.
This is a dream come true I cannot wait to build this set
Just placed the order. So excited. Great review !
Masterpiece build, can not wait to own one and put it together. Tolkein would be impressed!
This is so gorgeous. I probably wont have room for all three parts so its really good you can break down parts of it to display in a smaller space if you need to
Gorgeous is the word that sprung to my mind as well. Anything else is faint praise.
FINALLY, this set is beautiful
Soo @Bricksie!
Which set did you like more? The Lions knight castle, or Rivendell?
talking overall, Building experince and enjoying the set all built.
Im a huge LOTR fan. but, as a lego fan I love both sets haha.
This is really the best Lego set and I thought about ordering it for a long time but I ordered it today😍🙀
you were absolutely correct with the two stickers, those are the city of gondolin and the lotr tv show
Hey Bricksie, will this set fit on a 11" deep shelf? the set is listed as 20" deep but I don't know where they measured that. Any insight would be great. Thank you
Here is my dream....expand the campground into a forest area. You can add the Pooh house, this castle, a fire lookout tower, trails...etc
Bricksie: "I think all my 1x1 roof tiles are straight!"
OCD RUclips Commenters: 🤬😡🙅 (We still love you and your videos)
I don't have the Space and I think 500€ is still too expensive, yet it is so beautiful that I want to cry 😅
I'm gonna cave and buy it, am I not?
Amazing review! Thank you so much!
This is so awesome!
Sweet
You should make a magical place in ur future city
Haven't bought any lego sets in about 8 years. Might have to save up just for these LotR sets if they make more though, especially this one.
I love lotr! (My old dog was called Bilbo!) Will have to save up a lot for this (and a cabinet/ unit to display it!)
Put a short black beard piece on Gimli and you’ve got a Sallah from Indiana Jones minifigure. They’re both played by John Rhys-Davies
this is literally the next level of lego
That's nice, but... stickers in a €/$500 set?! Seriously?! 🤨
I was so exited for this video
This video is actually making me cry, it’s so beautiful 😍😍🥹🥹😍😍
The minifigures are great! I am not a hugh LOTR fan but I am sure the fans gonna love this one
Just a masterful set and an outstanding review. I can only imagine the alt builds that will pop up on this one. Imagine what someone could do with 2 or 3 of these sets. Oof. I just heard the sound of thousands of wallets crying out all at once.
Seriously this is pure art as far as I’m concerned- do you have any other LOTR sets????
I will probably buy that amazing set and build it all myself!
Bricksie and pronouncing architecture like "Arkyootechture"... name a more iconic duo 😂
Great review, such an incredible set, thanks for the detailed look Jordan!
I’m gonna take my time building this when I get my mits one it
Thank you for the video.
Gondolin is true, the other one is Earendil, not Rings of Power and the third map is a regional map of Rivendell
awesome video jordan the set is epic i love all the detail and the mini figures
That is a Beautiful Set
This is a awesome set. Very much enjoyed the review. Great video.
What an amazing set! Awesome review as always!
Definitely a very impressive set and over 6000 pieces isn't bad for 500 Euro. Still it's 500 Euro I could almost buy a PSVR2 for that money.
I always wondered how much more expensive is print per piece then sticker
I really like that set! B,E,A,--uuutiful LOL. Love the colors and all the fun pieces that come with it!
It's beautiful! Still really wish it was all of rivendell
what is better Rivendell or the Sanctum Sanctorum
was that rly a question? :)
Word of the day contender: “Repetitious”.
and fits perfectly in the campground :)
would be really cool if this was part 1 of rivendell and maybe they would release other sections for a mega set as the years go
That looks absolutely amazing!
The set looks so good
I can’t wait for this set, love the videos too.
Can’t wait to pick this masterpiece up❤️🔥
It’s a beautiful set I just wish it wasn’t open back but I know that would drive up the price even more.
Wow! So cool! I love it it looks like it is a fun build.
Really enjoyed the review of this set. My favorite part was the Eye of Sauron. I'm a big Lord of the Rings fan.
