Also bought clickbait, it is a very good tank, except the fu**ing turret ring. Teamates are also awful, I got a decent 2:1 kdr with 18% winrate, thats absurd
I gave in to my love for the T-55 as a tank... And bought the T-55AM-1. What a very nice choice. It is great fun to play. And very good looking :D It has been the bane if many of my Maus matches, but now having it I can see all its advantages and disadvantages I can now understand how in many duels with my Maus against them I could win.
That is the most op high tier premium tank in my opinion. Iam a plane player mostly, but also play tanks and Iam average at them, usually have around 1-1.3kd and at higher tiers (8.0+) usually about 1-1.1kd. But with this tank I have 3kd with 1500 kills and 500 deaths. It is fast kind of, has great armor, great aphe and decent apds especially for the br, gets downtiered often and overall it is so good. The only tank I have better kd at is the cheese wedge at 8.0 (I think strv103), dont know why, but have 5 kd with 500 kills and also with the somua, but I dont play that one since they uptiered my amx50to90/930 to 8.0. Also have simmelar kd with the turms, but I havent played it that much. Overall probably my favoutite tank, because the strv is hard to aim which makes me angry.

The amount of hits this thing can bounce is gloriously obscene. It's almost feels like it was purpose-built for a lazy, forty-something dude like me who still loves WT but can't be bothered to keep up with the sweats by relying on actual skill. $60 is chump change to be able to smash the W key, eat half a dozen rounds to the face, and click braindead Leopards back to the spawn screen.
It is a beast of a tank, I recently started playing War Thunder because I got frustrated with World of Tanks and decided to buy the T-80U-E1. AS long as you use the front armor and stay hull down you don't have to worry about getting your ammo blown up. I love the HE rounds, high speed, and durability that the tank has. I love earning in game currency as well War Thunder for tanks is > when compared to World of Tanks. I agree with you 100% on your review of the tank.
its not the armour that is the problem, its the US top tier players base. They rush the map thinking they're in desert strom and complain when they die in the first 10 seconds of the map because they over extended themselves and got killed by a T-72AV. the situation is the same with the Tiger 1h players who think they're Michael Wittmann. Its a skill issue stituation with the abrams just compare the win-rate of the US in 5.7 to the 10.0 win-rates.

While tandem charge burns through ERA and spaced plates well enough, composite armor still loves chem rounds, is why most modern tanks use kinetic. Or high caliber HE. The Slavic Hammer dont give af about frontal armor, its still gonna liquify your crew.
The ERA on the T80UK sits behind the shtora-1 so armor is nearly the same plus the UK has 2 more smokes a programmable HE and LWS In my opinion its a solid tank but if you already got to either the T80U or the T72B3 and you have the squad T80 then you dont need it because the T80UK does exactly the same
Good tank, but nothing really stands out on it, like so many of the other premium T-80s. The only non TT T-80 that’s interesting is the UM2 and that one’s a long gone event vehicle.
Rework for premium vehicles if you are- Rank-1 70€ Rank-2 60€ Rank-3 50€ Rank-4 40€ Rank-5 30€ Rank-6 20€ Rank-7 15€ This way it would turn the game less way to progress or make any premium vehicles be able to grind to top tier
I’m wanting to grind out Russia now. I have Germany 9.0 and USA 7.0. My Russia is only as 3.0 so what I’m wondering is do I go for the t55am-1 or this? The t55 will allow me to have a line up with it sooner but also grind less of the tree.
If you are ready to waste a bunch of money i would recommend getting a good 10.0 premium vic lineup instead. Russia has a stupid high amount of really good 10.0 vics. T72 turms, T80UD, 2S38, BMP2M which is a squadron but still, and then you can top it off with the SU25K if you want CAS.
Would you want to pay $70 to not have at least a slight competitive advantage? By no means does gen2 thermals make or break the game. In fact for $70 the thing should fire nuclear tipped rounds. Would you pay $70 to upgrade the thermals by 1 gen on any tank of your choosing? Would you consider the change a well worth it cost? Be happy that’s all the tank gets “extra” because for the price it should be unquestionably better in every category than any other tank in the game. Gen2 is pay to win, maybe it’s a skill issue.

Bro you dont have to take 2 million sabots I just take 8 and when I need more I go to a capture point and reload it makes ammo racks extremely hard to do on any T series tank and the T90M damn its nearly impossible with only 8 rounds yes you can take up to 10 but 8 is the best

It has Gen 2 thermals which makes better than the T80 U and T80 UK so basically Pay 2 Win.

11.3 premium broke the game for me. I get them in 10.3 and 11.7 😂 full noob team at top tier, I've found a lvl 6 player with one of these.
