Yeah. This Ferry only makes sense if you have a vehicle. Otherwise there's not much point in using it. Flight is only 1 hour and 30 minutes.
@@eatsnoreexplore8651 Indeed, you are correct, regardless, I do still have plans to take a trip, at least to support this initiative. I believe this was a correct move from both governments that was due for too long.

We came on this ship when we moved from UK to Cyprus, very viable option especially for those with pets. Warning for any Overlanders with roof top tents we almost got turned away but as we had kids with us and it was very late at night they let us go on this occasion. Strictly personnel luggage only nothing else is what they said to us.

Hello. The most you will find are things like pizzas and burgers, but they are a bit pricey. They are served for a few hours by order, during lunch time and dinner time. The rest of the time you can find the usual snacks ( chips, popcorn and drinks). They accept card payment now, I just got back with the ferry 3 days ago
I wasn't aware that this route had been reinstated. I used to travel this route every year back in the late 1980s and early 90s. It looks like the same vessel, just repainted. Very retro looking and as I recall it. Especially those 'mental hospital' chairs all facing a wall. What I remember was just how hot the whole ship was. Does it have air conditioning now? ironically now, it's freezing cold... especially inside the cabins. This is a 3 year trial period, if they see that it has demand they will continue it after 3 years. It's definitely something that i needed, i know that. And you're welcome!

Nothing healthy or interesting. Some pastries, chips, ice cream and the occasional burger or pizza. Nothing good.

Hello. I wouldn't leave anything strapped to the bike, unless it was in a locked side case or top box. The bike was safely strapped down, it's not going anywhere. You will just have to deal with being on a bike in the sun for a bit of time as the boarding process (especially in Limasol) can be annoying and not very well organized. Trip is about 33 hours give or take.

The website tends to be available in april or may. Can't book from now unfortunately. The longest vehicle you can take i think is 5 meters so no RV possibility yet, although summer 2024 is the last summer in the 3 year trial period. I guess next year thet might start accomodating vans too, we shall see..

Cabin isn't the best for first class. How was the second class? do you have a video from that trip?
No, but I can tell you it's just big enough to fit you, a bed and a sink. No window either.
@@eatsnoreexplore8651 Well that sucks. First class seems no better than third class on the larger ocean liners. I suppose what makes it worth it though is the extremely low price, the capability of carrying vehicles with you, and the different public rooms. as far as i'm aware you should be able to travel as long as you have a valid passport that can get you into Greece without the need for a visa

I think that asylum seekers fake refugees must go back to your countries, enough with that myth.. our parents was really refugees in 1974, and they didnt go to other countries illegaly, and when they went my friend, they was respect theese countries, not like you of course!!
