I stumbled across you in a search. I really like your simplicit way of building these.👍🏾 You gave me so many ideas. I made my 1st two last week with a few changes. I ordered the FSJEE 4 pin light LED connector strip kit from Amazon around $14 to give me that clean alignment with my lights. I used precut plexiglass from Lowe's on the back. I painted the middle leaving about 2" from the edges to give that soft back-lit glow. So, thank you for the inspiration and ideas!

Made my own using your video as a basis. Thanks man! Well I'm almost done, just need to finish one more frame with the tape, waiting on the led's, and velcro strips. Other than that its coming out great so far and can't wait to light them up this weekend!
That's so Awesome... because I build a few myself for my home theater... But I couldn't find any poster frames with the plexiglass at all .. but yours are so awesome
Thanks for watching! Your local Walmart sells poster frames without the plexiglass? Hmmmm, I think they sell them online for slightly more, but if it starts getting closer to the snap frame prices that might be the better alternative.
That was a non official one made by some seller on eBay from Thailand I believe. It's either double sided or was printed on a translucent sheet of paper. The price was still high at around 50 bucks. But I wanted this one specifically because of the design, even though it technically wasn't an original. But this poster was made to be in a light box. I have a Dune one I got for the same reason from a different seller from Thailand. -----I looked up the eBay seller for Predator and it was "cnc_icecream", but its showing they don't exist anymore. Same thing for the Dune poster "highqposter" ebay user doesn't exist anymore.
@@VirtualRobotsRevolt Thank you for the response. I will use this as a guide for my research. Looks great btw! wish you had that print for sale. Its my favorite print of all time haha
do you need to print posters on a special type of "transparent" paper ? ( you cannot use a white background poster for example since it'll obfuscate the light)
@@Oliffin either translucent paper or print it on both sides perfectly with the opposite in reverse. I’ve only seen the translucent paper thing done with a bootleg company out of Thailand I think. I bought a dune and predator poster from there on that kind of translucent paper and they turned out great. But they were still expensive around 60+. I bought those because their unofficial posters had a way cooler design than the original. And original movie posters are double sided posters printed on both sides perfectly (mirrored). Velcro and those L brackets resting on a picture hanging nail nailed in on top for most of the weight. L bracket screwed into the top of the frame and then it is hung on two picture hanging nails on top of the wooden shadow box. Let me know if you have any more questions. Good luck!

All yours the light is so nicely dispersed and even...but yet on mine you can definitely see the led strip and the path it takes running up and down. I also tried to take the back of the plastic that the frame has (that you sandwich the poster) and took an orbital sander to make it all like a cloudy derspersive area. Nope shows the same thing. (also even on the lowest setting for the LED lights shows it also) How do you get yours so you don't see the LEDs pattern? I watched your video over and over..not seeing that you used any sort of dispersing the light. I also used a Double sided poster. In case anyone reads this comment in the future I helped him through direct messages. He needed to leave about a 2 inch gap between the back where the lights are and the poster itself. The lights were too close to the poster, so don't make the light box too thin, it needs room to disperse the light. Also, he left off the aluminum tape on the sides. It needs to be completely taped with HVAC aluminum tape completely from edge to edge behind the poster and on the sides.
