Hey Anna! thanks for watching! Raw milk can be a bit intimidating at first, but it's all part of the fun, huh?! QWe hope you are doing well over there @FermentedHomestead. We'd love to talk about putting some of your ferments in Air2Ground Meats in Ava.--Shelley
Good conversation. Reminds me of back in the day when the "Milk Man" would stop by on the route and leave milk and exchange the bottles. When we milked people would bring their own jars and dip the milk from the bulk tank and leave the $ in the tin can. Nothing better than fresh whole milk.
Raw milk is great. On keto we don’t drink much. I buy cream from our local Amish farm they deliver to me weekly eggs and cream it is awesome! Happy for your new store wish you luck!
Excellent information! I would love to hear more about the benefits of drinking raw vs. store-bought and how the shelf life differs. Also processing your milk and cream into different products would be great to learn from!
Love Raw milk! I was raised onna dairy so we made all the things, cheese, cream, sour cream, cheese, etc... RAW Milk is so much sweeter, and more healthy for ya. I cannot have store bought milk, but I can raw milk... Thanks for sharing, I'm sure this helps others... Blessings ❤
Very informative. Now I know a little background of what to ask or expect. There is a local farm in our small community that sell raw milk and cream. Have been thinking of buying the cream for my coffee instead of buying from a store
It really does depend. Ours lasts 3 weeks with no issue. After that, it starts to taste a bit "cowy" and we will use it to make yoghurt. We've heard from our customers that raw milk they have purchased from other farms starts to develop a taste after about a week. So, it really can vary from farm to farm.
We get pasteurized (not homogenized) milk from a local farm, and just love it! From my research on homogenized milk, the heating process breaks down the cream and destroys all the nutrients. What is your experience on this?
Thank you for sharing your experience and for your comment! It’s great to hear that you enjoy milk from your local farm. Based on our understanding, pasteurization and homogenization are two different processes: Pasteurization involves heating milk to a specific temperature for a set period to kill harmful bacteria and extend shelf life. This process does result in some nutrient loss. Homogenization is a mechanical process that breaks down fat molecules so the cream does not separate from the milk. While some heat is used in the process, it is not the primary method of homogenization. Homogenization does not significantly impact the nutrient content of milk. Your concern about nutrient loss is typically associated with pasteurization rather than homogenization. In our experience, non-homogenized milk retains a delightful texture and flavor, with the cream rising to the top, which many people enjoy. We hope this helps clarify the differences! If you have any more questions or thoughts, feel free to share.

Sure wish you were my supplier for raw milk. The farm I go to is a real dump! They also have a dog the chases your car, lots of kids running around, cats and kitten’ s by the dozen. I am only buying the milk 🥛 to feed a baby goat. I wouldn’t think to drink this milk. I always bring the milk home and run through a filter and move it into my clean jars. I am so waiting for my 2 heifers to calf so I can use my own milk to drink and use for cooking and baking.
Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad to hear how you appreciate milk quality. Can't wait for your heifers to calf so you can enjoy your own fresh supply! It is genuinely amazing!!
So helpful. I wasn't sure where to find a local farmer and found one easily with the websites you provided.
Our pleasure!
Your Papa loved raw milk Shelley.... I'm sure he would be so proud of y'all. He hauled a gallon or two in his day.
I’m sure he did!! ❤️😁
Good video ❤❤❤🕊️
Great video! I remember how intimidating it was the first few times I got raw milk

The milk man was the original food delivery service! Who knew we were so ahead of our time back then?😂 Agree, Nothing Better than fresh whole milk!
Good advice. Val C
Grammy & Grampy didn`t have a dairy cow so they traded eggs or chickens for milk. Nothing beats farm fresh whipped cream!

That is awesome! Glad you found it informative! Ask questions and get to know the farmer and their practices, etc. 😃
Great info. How long does raw milk last in our fridge once we get it home?

Drinking a glass of raw milk at this exact moment. We go through 2-2.5 gallons per day.

I only use raw milk! It tastes so much better than commercia milk!
That's great to hear! Raw milk does have a unique and amazing taste compared to commercial milk-for sure!! --Shelley😁
My wife has asked my opinion buying raw milk. Because of all these unknowns I said no. This is very helpful. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!😁
Great info guy's. Any chance y'all ship to Colorado? Meat, not milk.
Mike
Mike, Yes, we can ship. Feel free to shoot us an email or ring us to setup a shipping order. -Shelley
Do you have chocolate cows, for chocolate milk?
LOL!! No, but that would be awesome! We could feed them something like stevia to it would be sugar-free!
