    3:48 sååå kör man SAAB. Jag startade själv min rallykarriär i en V4. Tyvärr dog den när min svåger körde den och högg skog med den....

    There are.. many of these vehicles remaining around there, right? Or maybe these drivers are very experienced, confident, or both?

    The SAAB 96 can have three cylinders? I didn't know that before.

    • @SwedishRally
      @SwedishRally  3 года назад +2

      I was not aware of that either, I had to fact check it and sure enough, 3 cyl 2 stroke between 1960-1968

    •  3 года назад +2

      @@SwedishRally Okay. Also I've heard the SAAB 96 V6 are rare models too.

      @ The V-6 is an engine also made by Ford of Germany, the V-4 is common engine for the 96 from mid year 1967 having replaced the series of 3 cylinder 2 strokes. The V-6 was never a factory option but rather a custom install. Both the V-4 and the V-6 were the German Ford Taunus design and build. Many of the V-6's here in the USA were put into the Mercury Capri's and Ford Pinto's and I think the old Mustang II

    It's boring that none of the Saabs (Stock and original) is RWD.
    Saab 99 would do perfect as a RWD rally car.

    • @MrBlirre
      @MrBlirre 3 года назад +6

      And still, that boring FWD saab were the rallycar to beat for over 20 years, winning many big internationall rallys in 60 and 70. 750cc 3 cylinder 2-stroke were faster than big horsepower RWD porsches, mercedes, fords and won the montecarlo 2 year in a row. And the 99 turbo is the first ever turbocharged rally car to win a world rally in 1979. The swedes should be greatfull for what littel saab achieved back then, made the car world look at sweden and found the other car maker volvo.

      Old Saab's are built to be run in snow and slippery gravel roads and they are the perfect car for that and really fun to drive in the winter because they behave almost like a rear wheel drive car if you use the Scandinavian flick and tap your left foot on the break while holding your right foot on the throttle while you go around a corner
      if you want a rear wheel car why not by buy a Volvo or something?
