***** It has better animations than 99% of games. The lighting is beter than 98% of games , the water and sand effects are unmatched to this day.. Seriously the sand in mgsv is worst in every single way..
ThreeDaysOfDan The animations are ok at best.. It might seem better to you, because you haven't seen a lot of games in 60fps or higher, but that doesn't count as animation anyways. And lighting, water and sand effects aren't really that impressive. Look at the water in Crysis 3 for example. Textures look pretty good, but that's about it. The Polygon count is still low. I have the game right here and am not really impressed.. But again, it's just a remaster.

+Pan Z You see how the surface around the pipe is darker than the rest of the wall? That's because there's a post process effect that's adding fake shadowing to that area. When Sully passes in front of it, you can see a halo of lightness around him where he passes that shadow. Watch in both versions when he raises his hand to his cigar.

+Pan Z funny thing about this effect is it also happens on GTA V for PC. It's so noticeable that I had to turn the damn thing off. Post processing still has a ways to go in video games.

But the aiming, especially with a pistol, was awful, making the third the worst entry on the franchise. But this video analysis states that on the PS4 version they fixed the aiming and say it is a completely different experience the players have. Now I think it's worth to try this remaster.
@@marcosladarense - That difference is very much noticeable! I probably logged in 9-10 play throughs with around 100 hours in the three years I’ve owned it. I know exactly how the game feels. I got to the first major gunfight of the game, during the underground London escape, and everything felt tighter!
That "Shadow Filtering" you mentioned @5:07 is due to the lack of Anti-aliasing on the PS3 version and nothing more.
I really can't see a difference at all. Looks the same on both.
In the PS4 version of Drake's Deception, there were instances where I'd hit L2 to pull the gun and there would be a slight (maybe one, one and a half second) delay before Drake would start aiming. It didn't make the game unplayable or anything but I don't remember that being an issue in the PS3 version.

You are fucking stupid bro.Past 15 fps the image seems to be moving.Below 15 it looks like a slideshow.This is caused because the brain is not fooled below 15 fps and can procces and say its a changing image.Above 15 Fps the brain is fooled and it interpurts it as movement.Remember the little books that you flip fast and the drawings seem to be moving?This is why they fuckin work.If you get one of those books and one has a drawn movement with 100 papers and the other has the same mpovement with 200 papers.One simply looks more detailed and smoother.The bigger the number the smoother the movement seems.Your tv works the same way

compared to gears the uncharted series never stud up in terms of shooting... it is a 3rd person shooter and it failed at the shooting aspect but good exclusive for sony and atleast theres no frame drops every where so ps4 got a good game and we got gears ultimate so both systems win

+Floydthefuckbag listen, nobody gave a shit about the multiplayer. Ok? Well maybe a few people. The vast majority of people bought these games for the single player campaign. They had limited time to work on 3 games. It's unreasonable to expect them to also work on a multiplayer mode. Multiplayer is very hard to implement in a game. You need to have a solidly engineered network for multiplayer. Look at how the Halo collection suffered from bad multiplayer. That's because they needed to work on like 4 games at once. It took them about 6 months to get the multiplayer working right. And they only did that because most people wanted to play those Halo games for the multiplayer. Most people don't want to play Uncharted for the multiplayer. So why go through the hassle of setting up a network for maybe 10% of people buying the games? That would not be worth the cost to implement multiplayer. Stop being a douche just because it doesn't have multiplayer. You probably wouldn't have played it anyways. It's an amazing port because Uncharted DF is almost unplayable on PS3 because it's so old. The graphics aren't there anymore. These look amazing. 1080p textures at 60 fps is well worth my $60 and they actually did more than that. If you watched the video, they fixed the sluggish aiming and input lag of the games.
Many improvements on Uncharted 1 and quite a few on 2. Uncharted 3 was already so visually perfected that there wasn't much to fix!

I like how this comparison video has commentaries. It keeps me informed on the slight changes i miss just by looking. Compared with other videos who just just shows the game side by side, this channel goes beyond that and explains the minute changes as well as the significance. IM SOLD SIGN ME UP! SUBSCRIBED!
Its really unfortunate the remaster missed some details like the scarf/hjab in UC3 not blowing in the wind when chasing the plane on the jeep scene. Doesn't make it unplayable but when you notice things like that, it kinda detracts from the immersion.

The biggest thing for me with these remasters is the resolution, anti-aliasing, and frame-rate. After leaving PS3 behind and switching to PC a long time ago Ive wanted to go back and play these wonderful games but the absolutely terrible resolution, non-existent AA, and terrible FPS always prevented me from enjoying them again. But now I can really enjoy these games I loved so much (Seeing a TV ad for Uncharted: Drakes Fortune is what made me want to get a PS3).
I wish the remaining two Gears of War games of the trilogy got a slight remaster aswell in addition to the original remake.
This Uncharted collection really shows how great a resolution and fps boost can work for AAA last gen games.
I know they will become available in BC, but I would personally pay for a touched up version.

The biggest missing option for me was the 3D effect, I love play the game on PS3 with 3D enabled, some level, like the ship cemetery are amazing in 3D. PS3 lower the resolution and the geometry, but PS4 would be able to maintain 720P@30HZ with 3D on.
A year ago your comment mate, I miss the 3d games as well, I have one of the 4k HDR10/Dolby Vision Panasonic TV sets that do 3D with active glasses and I never understood why it never took off in gaming as it was ultra immersive, I remember this, Gears ⚙ 3, Batman AC, in Gears I remember being able to judge exactly how far to throw the grenade, shame it never took off, I suppose VR will be the next level now its becoming 4k with eye tracking etc, hope you are enjoying this gen mate.
Did you notice at 2:38 how there's no wind affecting Nate's scarf? I don't like the fact that so many details like this are missing, specially as they were part of the original game and this collection is soposed to be better, not just better on some things and worse on others, it's kinda off putting. I was almost on the fence about to buy this but knowing so many great stuff is missing and the fact that I still own my old PS3 and the 3 games, I'm doubting I can just justify this purchase for the sake of playing this 3 games again with more fps and better tex and shadows but missing on some great artistic details.
Don't get me wrong, the collection for sure is great as now the games perform and look better overall and they might be great for those that couldn't play this games before or those that sold their PS3's when they moved to PS4, but it's kind of a bad deal for me particular I think. Just wanted to say this cause I only see people complaining about the multiplayer, but it's not the only thing missing here!

I definitely wasn't disappointed in this game and placed it just as good as uncharted 2. The difference was it wasn't the ridiculous jump that the series went from 1 to 2 as far as scope and tech achievements, but still an upgrade imo and once again a very fun adventure story.
I got the Uncharted collection with my new PS4. I have only been playing it for 3 days, and have no regrets with my decision to upgrade. :)

I have enjoyed every uncharted game especially golden abyss and drakes deception. Now I have the Nathan drake collection to relive every brilliant moment from the trilogy. The improvements in uncharted drakes fortune are great especially the shooting mechanics it's much easier to aim. Bluepoint have been great especially with the Last of Us remastered which was great to play at 60fps. Gravity Rush will be my next remaster from them.
the ps3 version still looks fucking amazing btw. The ps4 helps with ground textures In the burning house I noticed.

The most important improvement is the AA. Tbh the graphics of Uncahrted or TLoU are amazing, even if you compare them today to other games !
Only the AA was sometimes a bit bad. But in the PS4 versions ist awesome. This makes the biggest improvement what you see while playing.
I would LOVE to see Jak 3 HD along with Jak's other 2 remastered games given the same video treatment that you've done with the Uncharted trilogy remastered!

Linkenski Yeah. I don't know what I was thinking when I put up that comment. I ended up being against the remaster personally since I already beat all 3 games on PS3. But the increased framerate and improved visuals tempted me.
try hard fan I just replayed Drake's Fortune and Drake's Deception on my PS3 last weekend and it just got me in the Uncharted mood, so I picked up the Nathan Drake collection for PS4 (cuz my PS3 is not in my apartment :P) and currently I'm enjoying the shit out of it again. I still think the "definitive" version is the PS3 version of Uncharted 1 and 2, but 3 might be debtatable. The bad antialiasing in UC3 is very obvious on PS3.

Look at 01:11 you will see Drake's scarf can't fly in the ps4 version but in the ps3 its perfect!!! Sorry but this is a step backward? Anyway i will still get it when it sale off =))
A tally I think the uc3 suffered from slow texture loading evident on ps3 when disc is somewhat scratched and the game is on point where next render isn't complete

Theres no point arguing with people who say the remaster is nothing but a port and looks the same, even though the videos clearly prove you wrong, the fact that a lot of these console only fanboys who have no idea about graphical effects, normal maps, added geometry, ambient occlusion, shadow filtering, etc. makes it harder to explain, so to those who understand and appreciate the in-depth look at the changes just ignore the idiots and it should make your day better. Now I know I'm gonna be attacked by some random casual so I'm gonna say it now, this video, we all know it has less subtle improvements than the first and second game. There's no need to completely remaster the third one because it already looks good, adding higher resolution, fps, shadows and AA is enough. So yes while I am tired of seeing a lot of half-assed remasters, I'm glad I bought this since I didn't have a PS3, and this is one of those games where the remaster just works wonders, along with The Last of Us.

This remastered is so lazy... no multiplayer and the lack of details compared to original, and the bugs/gltches happens all the time

Never played the original Uncharted games, but I'm on my second playthrough of Uncharted 4. I'm not a huge gamer, and only just picked up a ps4 last year(only so I could play psvr)but the copy of Uncharted 4 that came with the console blew me away. Definitely one the best games I've ever played. A used copy of this collection is only $14 on Ebay. Think I'll go ahead and pick it up. Seems like a no brainer. I'll grab Lost Legacy eventually, when I find the right price.
Overall, amazing image quality, 1080p, 60 fps, thats not common for ps or xbox, nintendo is the only one always pushing that. To see the performance of a Smash Bros Wiiu, 1080p 60 fps in a game as complex as this... I must say, games dont need to get much better than this.
This is really going to be the general difference between standard PS4 and PS4 Pro. In other words not a major deal outside of rez and framerate.

This game looks amazing. Being mostly a PC player I'm very happy I waited to play it on PS4 instead of buying it for PS3. It would be disgusting playing @ 30fps with all that shimmering and aliasing.
This game looks better than most titles available on the ps4 somehow, and it runs 1080p 60fps. I dont see this game aging in the future at all. And this game is awesome, its not as good as the GOTY uncharted 2, but it still amazing. I remember playing a amazing ship flooding stage with shitloads of real time physics going on and not being able to believe my ps3 was running it.
The Uncharted Collection is now just 20 bucks on Amazon and I believe at Best Buy as well. A great buy for three fantastic games.

Of course Red Dead Redemption is more playable on console than PC because it is a exclusive. I will give you that. But when you say that "PC has no games", you are completely wrong. PC has more exclusives than all consoles combined. Plus, PC has more genres of games compared to consoles. The RTS, MMO, Wargame, Grand Strategy, Turn Based Tactics, MOBA, Indie, flight and military simulators are almost exclusively on PC.
