Fat does not raise our blood sugar plus it keeps us feeling full. We cannot do both low carb and low fat. We weren’t fat in the 70s. We got fat when the low fat craze got started and our food got filled with sugar!!

Hello Dr and compliments on your video! Question about the alcohol. Of whats on your list, i do not eat any and I tend to make my own at home from scratch. I know you mentioned beer but those of us who aren't beer drink but instead Spirits like herbed Vodka or Gin cocktails without any sweeteners. I am curious about your opinion on those in moderation.
Nine were a surprise. I am not a violater of any of them. My go to treat is skinny pop popcorn... Small bag only. I may have a bit or two of Sorbet but there is no sugar involved. I need help ... I'm pre-diabetic I havd IBS-D and SIBO. I dont know what to do such as my IBS being told to stay away from fruits and veggies by Gastro doc. My primary sent me to my cardiologist for EKG and to get my kidneys checked. The cardiologist did nothing to checked but asked me a few questions. I told my primary I was swelling from fluid & inflammation. I am pre-diabetic and my A1C currently is 5.8 and I have Hypertension. Last year my A1C was 5.7. Many years ago my A1C was 6.1 for 12 yrs then when I lost weight through VSG forced to have because of my 2nd Hernia. Last year my A1C was at its highest 6.3 primary gave me Rebelysis sample 1 month and next 2 months Ozempic lowest dose which took my A1C down to 5.7. Here's the problem I have IBS-D and my gastro doc told me to NOT EAT fruits, veggies nuts beans garlic ginger basically everything. I was tested for food allergies which but I have food sensitivities. The only thing works for me weight loss and lowering my A1C is a Carnivore diet and drinking water only. I love sweet tea so the sugar is not good for me but i cant drink water every day all day.. I always loved fruits and veggies but my gut cant handle it, my IBS my stomach cramps abdominal pain and diarrhea. I sometimes eat baby food fruit peaches are my favorite because even baby food hurts my stomach. Sometimes, I add water because I have to dilute it. I cant drink protein shakes or smoothies, no raw veggies or fruits. No wheat, soy, oats, dairy, rice, egg whites, flour, cheese because of the casin, res meat, spicy foods, ginger, garlic, artificial sweeteners, chocolate, gum, mustard, fruits of any kind especially citrus fruits because of my IBS and Acid Reflux from/caused by Bariatric surgery. I've seen many nutritionists and NONE of them could help me. I tried certain things but a lot of foods I don't like. I dont like avocados, cottage cheese, yogurt, seafood and no berries. I stopped eating pasta because its wheat and it hurts my gut. I dont consume any high fructose corn syrup. I dont go to any coffee shops, no energy drinks they would mess with my blood pressure, no artificial sweeteners they make me sick, ill or have bariatric issue dumping syndrome. All the options you named I can no longer consume any flours including nut flours. I been stopped can fruits, no fresh fruits only baby fruit. Every now and then I can eat watermelon, honey dew or cantaloupe. I miss fruits and veggies the pain in my gut from IBS and burning sensation in my chest from my Acid Reflux my throat or chest feels on fire. Please do you have any suggestions? Fyi.. I don't drink or smoke. I drink homemade sweet tea with fresh Lemons. I use to drink lemon water but it bothers my gut. Doing a Carnivore diet i can consume any meat. I dont eat seafood, lamb, veal. I eat certain parts of the pig or red meat. I love liver only when my mom cooks it. I need to lose weight regain. My issue is I dont eat alot but eat probably wrong foods or the way its cooked. When I eat certain veggies they're overcooked or cooked in vinegar. I love now sauerkraut because of my IBS. I don't consume condiments or honey either. If I had a little ketchup or mayo I added water to dilute it.

Bread I eat wheat bread a half a sandwich for lunch. I'm a truck driver. I try my hardest to eat healthy but it's not a lot of options. I work for del Monte. I can get free fruit but everybody said fruit it's not good for you everyday. I'm confused. Help help

I dont go to any coffee shops, no energy drinks they would mess with my blood pressure, no artificial sweeteners they make me sick, ill or have bariatric issue dumping syndrome. All the options you named I can no longer consume any flours including nut flours.
I been stopped can fruits, no fresh fruits only baby fruit. Every now and then I can eat watermelon, honey dew or cantaloupe. I miss fruits and veggies the pain in my gut from IBS and burning sensation in my chest from my Acid Reflux my throat or chest feels on fire.
Please do you have any suggestions?
Fyi.. I don't drink or smoke. I drink homemade sweet tea with fresh Lemons. I use to drink lemon water but it bothers my gut. Doing a Carnivore diet i can consume any meat. I dont eat seafood, lamb, veal. I eat certain parts of the pig or red meat. I love liver only when my mom cooks it. I need to lose weight regain. My issue is I dont eat alot but eat probably wrong foods or the way its cooked. When I eat certain veggies they're overcooked or cooked in vinegar. I love now sauerkraut because of my IBS.
I don't consume condiments or honey either. If I had a little ketchup or mayo I added water to dilute it.

Bread I eat wheat bread a half a sandwich for lunch. I'm a truck driver. I try my hardest to eat healthy but it's not a lot of options. I work for del Monte. I can get free fruit but everybody said fruit it's not good for you everyday. I'm confused. Help help
