Remember: the LEGS and the POWER ENGINE will be the most important parts of your core. The Legs determine how much weight you can carry on the rest of your mech The Power Engine will change the amount of energy AND how fast the energy bar recharges.
Core itself is a factor this time (rather literally as it's a multiplier) which is an interesting balance mechanism between Cores. Edit: Specifically in energy and recharge speed, along with some movement changes that aren't so clear.
I think I am going to like the simplification of non combat parts to be energy efficiencies, the game looks sick. I think the sound design is the key area where they've really improved. The new lockon looks pretty good, but the enemy radio chatter and whether they're sitting on their thumbs or have been alarmed to your presence all that stuff great, it looks like audio is going to be important for keeping track of what is going on that isn't down your lock on so to speak. Arenas are huge onces other ACs or flying units get involved you're going to need to listen to know where they are.
I got started playing mech games with MechWarrior 4: Mercenaries after my dad randomly picked it up in 2002. It makes me so happy to get MechWarrior 5 and Armored Core 6 within the last few years because the genre was pretty much abandoned for years after FPS games were the new hotness. Hopefully Armored Core 6 will inspire more developers to make their own mech games again.
It's looking incredible bros! The lock on system is totally fine by me. You get better weap accuracy by using the soft lock-on, so there's still value in aiming like we used to, even if the FCS box is no more like in AC4.
I agree, I think we'll just have to wait and see. I believe it will just feel natural to use the soft lock on when fighting multiple enemies at the same time. Once you enter a 1v1 with another AC for example, the hard lock on will come in handy
@Sorain1 There was a multi-player game back in the 56K days like that can't remember the name..spin disk launchers, light medium heavy.. Tribes, that's it. Like twenty per team
There were some concerns about the marketing for AC6 in the community, but I also think they’ve done really well. It’s kinda similar to what they’ve done for Elden ring and that worked incredibly well

That catapult launch is basically fanservice for mecha fans, and I love it.

@@upper_case_TThere's also a unlockable manual aim, from what I saw you can unlock it in the OS tuning.
@@reinweissritter Aah nice, I didn't catch that!
@@reinweissritter People are going to do fun things with that and sniper rifles in 3v3 pvp matches, especially with mouse aim.

I haven't been this impressed pre release since Bloodborne.
When will the PS5 Slim hit?

@@upper_case_T I just hope new players are made aware of the gameplay loop; as has been said, it's not like Elden Ring, open world, etc.
it has lock on system.. what the
