Can’t wait for all these AC first timers to be like the rest of us: painfully waiting for more because there are no mech games that fill that same hole as Armored Core
Let's hope that, like the souls games, fromsoft will experiment with making Core-likes. Or AC6 might get its sequel/expansion/DLC as is traditional for each numbered game
@@connorirons4542 I can see the expansion/dlc hitting some time after Elden Ring’s dlc but I’m hoping either AC6 era lasts awhile or AC7 is already written down on someone’s napkin
This'll be my first Armored Core game when it drops. I got a pretty good idea of the entire series from VaatiVidya (he did a video on all of them. it was long and very detailed.) and from the first game to AC6 it's definitely come a long way!
For many who's new to the game. The jump in graphics quality is considered huge if you compare it with the older gens. Everything feels fresh for the series. I love it!
Yeah, the customization depth is crazy when you really get into it. Tweaking stabilizers, thruster nozzles, literally everything. Didn't care much for AC5, but I sunk a lot of hours into AC4 and For Answer and cannot wait for this one.
I've been discovering a lot of fun RUclipsrs through reaction videos. You're really energetic and animated, and I was living that fresh hype vicariously through the video even though I've watched the presentation like 40 times already. Cheers, Raven!
I like that the different AC content creators offer a variety of insight according to their experience with the franchise: - Fightin Cowboy, Alanah Pearce and Mrhappy1227 (among others) are the experienced veterans providing the most technical details and making the fair comparissons between AC6 and other title from the series and the studio. - Vaati Vidya and Writing on Games, while not old fans, have played all the games recently so their analysis is focused on the narrative themes of AC6 and providing several tips for those who are used to FromSoftware titles and / or other interactive experiences that involve mechs. - Iron Pinneaple others who have prefered going into AC6 blindly without any previous experience center their content on the controls, what does it feel to pilot a core for the first time and a guide for newcomers so that they do not get overwhelmed by the customization options. All of them have conicided on one thing: AC6 is probably one of the most ambicious AAA mech game of the last 10 years.
I love seeing how everyone who is a fan of AC is so happy with what they are showing, it's not everyday that i see an old Ip come back after years, and have every old player enjoying what is being shown, no weird changes, no alienation of the core audience, and they seem to understand very well what their players like, i never played an Armored Core game, but it has been a very cool ride to see how hyped you guys are, and i am very interested in playing this game, Fromsoftware already has my respect for the Dark Souls series, and now i'm ready for this new challenge.
I credit that to FromSoftware simply making the games they want to make. If they were in it for the money or success, they'd be making Sekiro 2 right now or marketing the crap out of the Elden Ring DLC. But they love Armored Core as much as the fans do, and this is something they clearly wanted to make. They've added elements of every Armored Core from the past into this game, then evolved the formula from there. Fans aren't complaining because there's nothing to complain about.
Right? And most of it's available right out of the gate. Of course, there's going to be hidden parts scattered around levels to reward exploration as well ;)
Hue, saturation, brightness, pattern, reflectiveness, lustre, and weathering. Plus the ability to stamp emblems anywhere and everywhere. :D I'm probably going to spend half of the launch weekend in the garage painting every little detail on my AC
I predict... That 5 year from now, KB will rewatch this video and say: "God i'm cringe!" LOL all jokes aside, i already bought my copy of AC6 and waiting in hype!
You somehow remind me of Kenny powers and Stevie at the same exact time if they were gamers lol. Your excitement ends up being contagious the longer you stick around. Btw to keep your excitement up, the PCs got 120 fps confirmed. The customizations been simplified slightly in this one compared to like for answer but the parts are far more diverse and the effects of swapping them are more dramatic, you can tell how much their game design itself has upgraded from their time away from the series. I think they focused on improving in all the right ways and it literally cannot come fast enough
@@KrimsonKB honestly I don't even think the recommended specs are gonna be beyond a 2 series card and like 16 gb of ram I have full confidence my 2070 super and 16gb and ssd will get the game running max settings at the 120 target easy so you probably don't even need to upgrade
Never played Armored Core before but I absolutely love Mecha! How have I never played any of these before? It's like a combination of so many Mecha anime :3
I should preface this by saying ive never played another AC game. But i hope, even if there are a few hoops you have to jump thorugh, they give you the parts to build White Glint
Normally I would completely agree that this would be a strong contender for GOTY. In any normal year AC6 would have a high chance of winning if it delivers on the promise that it has shown so far. But this year is freakin stacked. I do think this game will get nominated. But objectively I don't think it can beat out ToTK, even though I personally think it should. I think the winner this year is likely to be Baldur's Gate 3, unless Starfield does something completely off the chain. I doubt it will though. And Bandia, pay attention. THIS is how you make a mecha game.
What amazes me is that between oldgen, 4th Gen, and 5th Gen I haven't seen a single complaint about it being too much like a certain generation. From Software somehow nailed a perfect balance between the 3 different player generations within Armored Core. My only complaint about the game is that it seems they've dumbed some things down, but that's just the price you have to pay to encourage new players to the series.
I don't mind that they've scaled back some in that regard. It's been forever since we've had a new AC, and I also understand them wanting to bring in new players while still keeping the spirit of Armored Core alive.

Oh the memories! This game looks amazing!!

I'm really loving the spartan kick and three hit blade combo. I also recommend watching the previous gameplay reveal if you haven't already
11:36 just realized that right hand weapon looks like the left hand exclusive laser rifle from 3rd gen
That genuine "HOLY SHIT!" at 9:00 was relatable XD
The Stagger status is definitely a new concept for AC. Very interesting.
Sounds familiar… wasn't that what both ff13 and f16 used? For gameplay purposes
Ac use to have stagger but not like it was showing any sign it was like elden ring posture break it's invisible but it is there.

Doubt Bandai will give the ip
