Many thanks for your continuing efforts to inform and entertain us, Dave; greatly appreciated. Have a Merry and safe Christmas and New Year. All the best from a rather warm West Australia. 👍
Congratulations, Tim! You're a genius! I also enjoyed watching Ian and Sue. I suggested they continue with some kind of "lifestyle " content to keep the channel going and for everyone to stay in touch with Bulgaria. Merry Christmas too!
'There's a little yellow idol to the north of Kathmandu...' I remember an episode of ' It ain't half hot mum' where a guy was constantly attempting to give his rendition of the poem to the troops but was constantly thwarted for one reason or another. Bloomin' hilarious. Merry Xmas mate.
I enjoyed the quiz and KTM update, keep up the great work Dave your channel is going from strength to strength and is quite therapeutic at times 👍 enjoy the Christmas break.
being thick , i never stood a chance in that quiz ,,, but ktm have sent me a personnel email stating that they will continue to support me ==== yeah right ;; merry xmas everyone ;;
Have a great Christmas Dave. I saw Sue's video about Ian's troubles and reached out with my sympathies and best wishes for things to get better. I hoe you enjoy making these videos as much we enjoy watching them. Cheers BJ
Thank you TBW! Merry Christmas to you & family! Congratulations to the winner of the quiz! Beautiful words with respect to Ian & Sue⭐ A heartbreaking situation but health is a priority. Cheers
Hi Dave, Thanks for all your videos. I'm an avid viewer of your Channel. Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy 2025. Warm Regards, Tim. A Baildon lad living in The Netherlands.
You too have a peaceful Christmas Dave.....and go steady. Guess I'm in first as it's currently 14.30 here in Perth, Australia!! Best Dave (sweltering in 40 degree heat!!😅
Don't know which day of the week you were out and about on your Guzzi however it must have been the only sunny day we have had in what has been a very grey and wet December 😀 still the scenery was beautiful , good to hear you being positive about KTM' s future, it would be a huge loss for all bikers if they went under, personally I am sure it will bounce back and I hope it stays in European hands and doesn't end up as a Chinese subsidiary, on that note I wish you a Merry Christmas and a very happy new year.
Hiya Dave 👋. Thanks for your considerable efforts & hard work to bring us the excellent vlogs you produce. Have a fantastic Christmas and sincere Best Wishes for 2025. Regards, Mo 🎄😊👍.
Hi Dave, sorry I missed this year's quiz, I've not kept up with everyone the last couple of weeks, but still using my prizes from last year's win 👍thanks very much! This year's questions sounded a bit harder ,doubt I'd have got the answers with my brain being another year older eh? 😅😅 On the KTM issue I agree they've got far too many models and as with a lot of manufacturers some of the models are too expensive. I enjoyed the sunny relaxing video with this episode though 🙌👍 Have a Merry Christmas, Cheers , Mel 🍻
For those who are still wondering, the process that KTM is going through was avoided by Polaris when they declared that the Victory brand was being shut down, arising out of a failed gearbox circlip.
Polaris elected to discontinue the Victory brand once they had Indian up and running. The Indian name plate had over a century of brand recognition as opposed to Victory which had only been in production for a bit over 20 years. It was purely a commercial decision by Polaris to discontinue the Victory name. Nothing to do with circlips.
It wasn't the circlips. They avoided a world-wide recall to rebuild every 107 cu in bike they had sold. That circlip failure presented a risk of an innmediate, life threatening gearbox seizure and engine lock up. Polaris presented a number of false narratives about market considerations but that was all BS. Polaris already had the updated motors for the Challenger and the Octane as well as the under development electric, all along side the Indian style brand to appeal to a different market segment. Sorry, whilst it was a commercial decision, it was about avoidance of a recall which would have probably bank rupted the company.
@@michaelreid2329 Sorry Michael, but that makes no sense. Polaris still own the rights to Victory and still sell spare parts for them. How is stopping the manufacture of the bikes going to absolve them of responsibility for what you're saying is a serious design defect? I've owned a Victory since 2015 and I know of quite a few others with them, and not one of them has grenaded due to a bad circlip. But that's real-world experience and not internet rumour. We'll have to agree to disagree I guess mate.
Merry Christmas TBW and a happy New Year, keep up the good work🌲 Just a small point but I really hate that monstrosity on the handlebars of your lovely Guzzi, it looks ok on an adventure bike but not on the beautiful V7, sorry☹️
How many times have I begged you to mothball that Guzzi, Dave? I'm tired of getting all jazzed up to buy one every time I see one of these damned videos where you're riding it! I couldn't answer any of the quiz questions, by the way; I lack the cerebral strength, apparently, plus I'm a Yank. Great content, though; I really enjoyed it. Now I have to adjourn the RUclips session to shop, once again, for a Moto Guzzi. This shinola is going to land me in hot water with the Mrs. one of these days. Thank you for the video!
IMHO for KTM to survive and grow, lose the War of the Worlds headlights and quit painting everything bright orange and black. There are other colors available. Quite a few in fact. You may hate Harley Davidson motorcycles but no one does paintwork better. Just my two pence. P.S. great quiz and answers. Quite clever.
Yet another great video but I’m not impressed, you told me I was guaranteed to win😢. Anyway thanks Dave for 2024 the videos, the rides and friendship. Happy Christmas and prosperous 2025 with rising subscriptions and new bike in the garage. See you soon Andy.
Cheers Andy all the best to you and Debs and thank you too for the friendship and support. BTW I gave you all the answers and you still got them wrong….no cigar! 😂
Sorry, I do not care about KTM / CF Moto, but you can be sure there are winners with a lot of money. Sorry for the people kicked out. Merry Christmas and a hopefully more quieter 2025, a healthy of course.
It's the parent company that's got the big problems ktm is just one of the brands , with one (good) years worth of unsold bikes and seemingly 70,000 engines too . Myself i can see bajaj taking the ktm brand over as they already have a large stake in the parent company. Any road happy xmas and a good riding new year too you all.
@@trailingarm63The vulture capitalists are waiting for KTM to declare bankruptcy so they can pick it up for ten cents on the dollar without being liable for the liabilities. This will cause a domino effect amongst their suppliers and employees who will be shafted while top management will escape with their golden parachutes intact.
china did it with Rover in the uk, lots of promises of jobs and all. then they gutted the factories, shipped all machinery to china to setup and promptly broke the agreements once they had all they wanted. if cf moto have control they will do the same before methodically closing all plants and reopening them in china.
Wow, how did a small niche motorcycle manufacture end up 1.6 billion in debt, what happened to regulatory controls? Where did the money go whilst they were racking up this loss? How did Moto Morini, Benelli, Fantic & now likely MV Augusta end as just "badges" slapped on Chinese "anythings"? Why didn't Triumph, Ducati, BMW or Piaggio buy these names & use them for spin offs? It's all a mystery to me but l'd never buy anything to be purporting to be something it isn't.
Congratulations to Tim 😊
Sad news about Ian but hopefully he'll be back in the saddle sooner rather than later.
Happy Christmas everyone.

Did you hear some non KTM dealers are now refusing to take in used KTM bikes as part exchanges "just in case" something else happens.

KTM is cooked! The tricky thing for CF Moto is getting its hands on the assets without the liabilities.
Someone has to payoff that 2bil that ktm owes
@peteduch2151 Not if bankruptcy is declared. The assets would then be auctioned off to reclaim as much as possible for the creditors.
