A comprehensive ‘walk through’ of the vehicle. So nice to see a sales person who knows their product, a dying breed these days. You have st the bar high for others. Congrats a fantastic review, we’ll done!
Thank you for the kind words!
Thank you for this review, I think you're the first that actually went through the interior infotainment tech that this vehicle has to offer
Thx for the comment!
Finding this review was like finding a needle in a haystack but thanks a lot for making it. Your regular reviewers don't mention things like how you can program the height of the tailgate for example and there was just a lot of little features like this that got highlighted in this video that noone else have mentioned. Quite frankly you're making everyone else look like amateurs and that is awesome. Tyvm again for making this!
😁 thank you for your comment and support!
Love how detailed this video was by the way! You did an amazing job. You and only one other person ive seen has been this informative about the 2022 Tucson! Great job and thank you !
Thx for the comment!! ☺️
By far, the best and detailed review I’ve watched for the 2022 Tucson! Thank you! I’m planning on buying one soon!
Thx!!
@Paul Attard hey Paul... Congrats
The dry clutch dct has historically not really been a great fit in regions with a lot of hills.
Maintain it, don't hold your spot on a hill with the gas pedal. Think of it as a manual transmission, and you don't wanna ride the clutch. You'll be fine if you take care of it. Hope that helps!
Some pretty decent walk throughs on yt but yours is top drawer. Thanks for going into so much detail. 👏
Thank you!
Best detailed review of this vehicles features I've seen so far. Excellent work, thank you!
Thank you for the comment!!
I have watched dozens of Videos on the 2022 Hyundai Tucson and you are the first one who has explained the Power E Brake procedure. 18:35 so Thank you, gives me alot more confidence in the push button gear selector.

Best Review this year! Thank you.
Thank you!!
This is by far the best review of the Tucson Hybrid on the internet!! Thanks...I'm patiently waiting for delivery of mine.

I love sel ..with upgrade wheels !! porto fino gray !
VERY NICE Amy fam..loves it ..
Great and clear review outstanding
Thanks!
I have that exact Hyundai limited in Southern AB. 99% of my driving is city. 6.4-6.5L is accurate for summer. I’m ~10L for about last 2 months (winter).
I like heat and when the fan kicks in…it sucks the gas. However, I understand that when you turn on the defroster the cold air intake turns on…even at -30C. If I wanted cold air blowing at me below the waist…I would prefer to open a window.
I have 2 devices on Bluetooth. My phone and a tablet (both cellular). I wish this was like my last vehicle and could remember my phone for calls and my tablet for Bluetooth audio. No special star button on the steering wheel to switch connected devices.
Drive mode defaults to eco every time the vehicle is started…if you make short trips one has to reprogram everything each time you start out.
I have found a few places that I frequent that will not allow me to lock the doors with the remote. I’m told that there must be an alarm system that is competing with the same frequency of the remote. Anyone with this same problem knows you can take the door handle apart and use the key in the fob to lock the door because no manual door lock to push down. Something to try…press the lock door button while holding it above the middle of sunroof (or as far as you can reach).
I recommend a programmer put in a save settings. Not everyone wants the default settings some programmer thought would be the best for them.
All this said. I love it and hopefully enjoy it for a long time.
FANTAZZZZZZZZZTIC AND AMAZZZZZZZZZING REVIEW. I ORDERED THE PREMIUM VERSION 2 WEEKS AGO HERE IN IRELAND. HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL JAN 2022 FOR DELIVERY
Thaaaaaaank youuuuuuu!!!!
I got my Santa Fe 2 months ago, but I am still watching your videos...lol!

Fantastic Review. The best I've ever seen for a Tucson.!!!!
Wow thanks!
The best review I have seen so far!!
Thanks!
My black Tuscon Limited is on order. I can't wait to get it!! This is a beautiful vehicle. I think the black will look super sleek with those running lights. I am appreciating all of the safety features! Ps, great video. You explain everything perfectly and in detail.
Thanks!
Really nice review and great presentation style too.
Thx!
Awesome review’s…now fixed my mind to upgrade my 2019 Tucson….
Thx!
Fantastic review! I want to purchase one even more now!
Thx!
Thank you for your outstanding video! It helped me in making my decision to order the Hybrid Limited edition here in the United States within the next few days.
Awesome!
Glad I could help!
Fantastic video with clear instructions. I am a senior in Canada and we just bought the shimmering silver ultimate hybrid which is the same as the USA Limited model. We pick our 2022 new ultimate on Tuesday of this week. It took a grand total of 2 months to come in from ordering date when the dealer stated it might be between 3-4 months. I have learned so much from this video. You explained so many options very clearly which is very important to us older folks where technology was not as important in our day or available. We are definitely looking forward to receiving this vehicle and we are now much better prepared. Great video and to this nice gentleman explains everything. Thank you so much, EH. Cheers. 🍷😇
Thx Dennis!

Thx for the comment!
Great informative video.. I am planning to buy this one pretty soon and really wanted to wrap my head around the tech and features there.. It was really helpful the way you explained 10/10 for that!!
One request for you!
I am kind of in split minds between the Luxury and n-line trim..
But wanted to know what features do I lose in case I go with n-line..
Mainly the leather interior and of course, the hybrid drivetrain.
But also the smart power tailgate
I'll need to research a bit more to answer properly.
Have you checked out my video on the Luxury trim?
Excellent video, thanks.
Thank you!
Great video. Purchased the ultimate today. It is worlds better than my first tucson back in 2015

Great review. The only thing I wish Hyundai had done was keep actual physical turn-nobs for volume and temp control. But so many other great features.
Another great review - and yes, we're now firmly sold on the Tukson, sorry Tuscon Hybrid ultimate luxury 👍 But the ads... Guy's gotta make some money, but Y/T keeps feeding us those annoying fOrD commercials 😉

Great detail review, I love the features and love the car. I have a point, if I can connect to Android Auto to google for the map then the navigation is not necessary there.

@@edsgarage001 Hi Ed, what's the delivery waiting period for the HEV and PHEV from ordering? Are they same for HEV and PHEV?
@@RiasatAbir there's actually a lot of variables (trim, colour etc) but you can expect anywhere from two to five months right now.
@@edsgarage001 do you know which color would be 2 months for ultimate trim?
@@RiasatAbir no idea.
You'd only find out the estimated time, once you've placed an order and Hyundai has filled it.
If there happens to be an unclaimed one ready to go, then it's shorter time. But if needs to be built still, then it's longer wait of course.
Thanks.
Wow! Job well done! Love that you went into all the little details. By far the best review of this new vehicle. Now if Hyundai can actually get some Tucson Hybrid Limited vehicles in stock at the dealerships I’ll be able to get one. Dang chip shortage lol

I’m not familiar with the button shifting
What if during drive mode , and you mistakenly push the reverse button ? How does the system react ? Or it can’t be done during driving mode unless completed stop brake
Thank you
Frankly, I prefer some kind of shift lever whether it's mechanical or electrical... I don't care. Buttons or a rotating selector can never be as intuitive.
I waited and got this baby in white. Love it.

I'm sure there will be one kitted out similarly.... But I'm not totally certain. There will likely be some differences.

Is it mandatory to have winter tires for tucson 2022 ?
Great review from you love the car and i am in the process of purchasing one but cant decide on price as i would love the auto but stick is more affordable Dave Liverpool UK
Thx for the comment!
What color is the exterior of the vehicle? Is it Amazon Grey?
As UK viewer, this was a very helpful review of the Hybrid version. There are slight differences in the mild-hybrid / petrol version version as it has the gear lever N P R D instead of the buttons on the full hybrid. Thanks again Ed (Garage)[ in the UK, we cannot get the remote start that you guys and gals have in Canada / USA ]
Thx for the comment!
I'm pretty sure you can if you choose the Tech Pack as an option, which also adds the self parking, birds-eye view and the blind spot view. In the UK Ultimate does not have these by default, they have to be ordered as an option.
@@AdiCristea in Canada the tech pack isn't available on the hybrid... Only the regular ultimate

Hi Ed - I am getting the 2023 PHEV Ultimate trim here in Ontario, but I see that it does not have the 12V batt reset next to the steering wheel on left. Did they remove in the 2023 model year? Does it mean a PHEV vehicle will need to be jump started the old school way? (I am hopeful we dont get into that situation, but just asking)!! :)
The PHEV still has a separate 12v accessory battery. Only the regular hybrid has the reset button.
Reason being is that the hybrid has battery sections that equal 12v whereas the phev does not.
nice review sir. on the wheel 19 inch there is a orange dot color what is the meaning of that because have that orange too
During the manufacturing process of the wheels and tires, the dots are placed on each in order to line up a tire and wheel properly and have it more balanced before using weights to finalize the balancing process.
Thank you so much brother, I just bought the ultimate today from 1000 Island Brockville Ontario Canada and the sales person has no idea. He couldn't show me the front camera I had to looked for it and show him. Since this car has 360 Camera, do you think I can use it as Dash cam recorder as the same time? If that is possible or if you know anything, please let me know. I do not want to put front, sides and back Camera in this beautiful car. Thank you so much for your time and knowledge about this car. You mentioned the car has satellite radio, is that the same as DAB radio in the U.K.?
And finally, does the sunroof also tilt please?

@@edsgarage001 wow, you must have been sat on your computer, that was super fast Mr Ed. Thank you so much for your reply sir, it is much appreciated. I am going to see the car at my local dealership early next week and then I have a couple different brands to check out before my final decision but the Tucson is at the top of the list for so many things including the 4x4 system you kindly told us about. If it’s good enough for Canadian snow, I shall have no problem with Cumbria or the Scottish Highlands.

@@Trevorfoggia my pleasure! Best of luck with your search ☺️
I love my Tucson 2022 and now I even know what it can do! Still a couple of questions: Parking in the garage would be easier if I can flip a switch to turn the mirrors in. I didn’t see anything for that. Also our other car is the GV80. Did you do a feature video for that or can you recommend one as thorough as yours?
Unfortunately the Tucson doesn't have power folding mirrors.
I think Doug Demuro's videos are probably the most thorough, so I'd check his channel.
Thanks for the comment!
Folding mirrors in Europe but not in North America. :(
Update to folding mirror and another question:
When I reach out the window on the drivers side (not sure about the pAssenger side) I can manually fold the mirror in then out to get into the garage.
Next, if my keys are in my purse they are not “read” to open the trunk; i have to hold them in my hand. Kinda of defeats the purpose. is there an adjustment?
@@chmata222 sounds like your purse may be lined with something to prevent nfc signals from working. Some purses and wallets are like that to prevent people scanning your credit cards.
I don't know what your purse looks like, but is there an outer pocket or something you can put the key in?
just got mine! how do you get the front led headlights to move around??
That's an effect of the camera's refresh rate. You don't see that in person.
Is the 1.4 engine going to suffer from carbon-burned valves at 30,000 miles? I heard this could be a problem. Will this be covered by the warranty?
It's actually a turbo 1.6L..
It does have the direct injection for efficiency. They've not had any issues with carbon build up, as long as they are properly maintained.
Great review. Please could you tell me the colour of the car ?
Thanks!
This one was Titan grey
You don’t need to convince me although you would have with that very fine review. Even if the car didn’t move!
Living out here in rural Nova Scotia… We bought ours on May 9 and are still waiting. How long should it take. Our local dealer seems to be a little reticent with the time of delivery As in… “Andy tells us it’s on a boat somewhere”.
Honestly, it's hard to say. I'm not surprised he's not given you more accurate info.
Generally from south Korea, it's between maybe a couple weeks to 3 months. And the Hyundai system only updates info when it lands at port. Then it also depends on how quickly it comes off the ship, that can vary by about a week too.
FYI… Our Tucson Ultimate was ordered on May 9 and the scheduled ETA is July 12 so that’s about seven weeks. He also informed me there was a huge backlog of Tucson’s… like… 400 vehicles or perhaps more
@@iannemecek1700 yep... I actually work at this dealership, so I'm all to familiar with the backlog.
How you making the head and tail lights dance at the start of the video
That's just the camera's refresh rate differing from the LEDs. In person, you don't see that.
Does the voice recognition control the AC controls as well?
No
But anyone who controls an *Automatic* climate control system... Is just silly 😜
Set it and forget it
I bought a New 2023 Tucson, Buy I nerd yo know how to disable they shipping mode to OFF...How can I chance?? Thanks
I'm not sure exactly what you just said...
But if it's in shipping mode, you can stop that by holding the ok button on your steering wheel for about 5 seconds.
But you should probably go back to your dealership and make sure they actually compete a PDI on it.
Thank you for a detailed vehicle review. I would really like to know in comparison to the new Lexus nx300 2022.. I feel each person compares this vehicle to the Toyota rav 4 but how would this vehicle compete with overall quality and reliability. I would really appreciate your thoughts. The price is somewhat comparable but the features especially the 2022 hybrid seems be a great option at a lower cost… can this be real?
Hyundai's reliability is top notch!
They have three brands in their umbrella, - Genesis, Hyundai and Kia.
In the 2022 JD power and associates overall dependability study, these three brands finished 1st, 2nd and 4th!!
Compared to the Rav4, the Tucson stands out as far more features rich, futuristic, refined and spacious. And compared to a Lexus, it's far far less expensive.
Toyota's are reliable, but their interiors simply don't match Hyundai's. And now Hyundai has exceeded even Toyota's reliability in the ratings, ☺️
Perhaps to the 2022 Toyota rav 4. But I’m really asking how in your opinion will a 2022 Hyundai Tucson hybrid compare to the Lexus NX300 2022? Specs or otherwise. I really appreciate your time. I own a Lexus so I like features of this suv. But maybe people are considering the same. Please elaborate on a side by side comparison. Thank you in advance.
@@JamieSmith-jo5dy
Compared to the Lexus,
-The Tucson has better leg room and shoulder room and has nearly twice the cargo space. Yet still weighs less.
-the Tucson is about $10000 less
-the Tucson has a better warranty
-the Tucson has a higher safety rating
-the Tucson has a nice automatic transmission, while the Lexus has a gross CVT.. Yuck.
Fuel economy, they're nearly the same with a very very slight edge going to the Lexus.
The Tucson has all features you could possibly imagine, plus some you may not even know about... But to get those features on the Lexus, they're all paid extras.
The Lexus is a full on luxury vehicle, so it probably rides a little nicer and the interior materials are going to be a little nicer. But I've never been in that model so I couldn't say for sure.
Hope that helps!
Overall happy with our Limited model. But so far the electronics are spotty. The only time my memory seat works is when I first get in. Afterwards, nothing. Same with the auto setting on the liftgate. Works once or twice a day. Not every time.
Your salesperson didn't show you proper function then.
First, for the memory seat, it will not work when you're in drive or reverse. It only works when you're in park, at a stand still.
For the smart liftgate, it only works after you've been away from the vehicle in a locked state, for minimum 15 seconds.
So get out, lock the doors, move at least 15 feet away from the vehicle. Then walk up to the back, without pressing any buttons.
See this:
ruclips.net/video/PQUYQoVBAOE/видео.html
Yeah because I'm stupid and didn't read the owners manual. I've had memory seats on two previous vehicles, worked without a problem. This one works when it wants to. As does the liftgate and smart park. I am going to check to see if things work better with one or the other remote
IF you compare this Tucson with the new Santa Fe. Do you think the wind noise is higher in Tucson?
To close to say. Honestly having driven them both on the highway, i can't recall anything that stood out on either
Do Tuscon have auto dimmer side mirrors? If not, is it available?
No, just the rearview mirror
Fantastic and very informative review. I'd love to buy my Tucson from you. Are you in Ontario or BC? 🇨🇦

@@marcellef8302 ah well...
Thx for the comment!
@@edsgarage001 Well, I look forward to seeing your review for the 2023 Hybrid model. Any idea as to int/ext colours and new features (for Canada)?
@@marcellef8302 no, haven't heard anything yet
Ed, why isn’t Apple CarPlay wireless with the top trim big screen? There must be an explanation but I haven’t heard it.
The software that runs on the 10 inch screen is very different to the software that runs on the 8" screen.
The company that designed each software package (MN-Soft) simply hasn't added the functionality yet. It'll likely be added in a future update. From what I understand, the hardware is already there.
@@edsgarage001 Thanks!
I have seen reports on excessive oil usage, engine failure, transmission failure, etc. Does this still apply to the 2022 Tuscon Limited?
Sorry for the late reply...
No, for 2022, the entire lineup has different engines. Everything is new for the Tucson.
I must have missed it. You mentioned in a few of your videos about the roominess of the back seat in the new Tucson 2022, but I didn’t catch what you thought of the seating position to accommodate your 6’2” height. Most vehicles I sit in are too cramped in seating position for me during long drives. How is this vehicle’s fit?
The seats are very supportive, I find them very comfortable. Plus the head and leg room is fantastic.
By the way, thx for the comment! 😊
Have they rectified the oil issue with Hyundai for the 2023 model Tuscon?
If you're referring to the issue affecting the 2.0 and 2.4L engines, then yes.. These use A 1.6 turbo hybrid and the other trims use a 2.5L
Why do you lose the wireless Apple car play in the higher trim?
There's some sort of software limitation. Hyundai is working with their software provider (mn soft) on it. Hopefully one day we'll see an update.
nice showing. disagree with your thought on no spare. waiting for a tow truck for hours with a sidewall puncture or destroyed tire is nonsense since a spare will get you home.
True,
But how often do you get a blow out?
If your tires aren't ancient and they're at the correct pressure a blowout is basically impossible unless you hit something.
But the chances of getting a nail in your tire is significantly more likely. And in that event, I'd much rather pump up the tire than change it on the side of the freeway in the rain or snow.
Your reviews are so good. Too bad you are in BC. I'd buy from you if you have me a deal and shipped to AB 😜
Haha, that's unfortunate.
Although, I have indeed sold several cars to residents of Alberta.
Thx for the comment!!
Ed, can you please confirm that the Integrated Memory System on the driver's side door does change the mirrors, ambient lights, dashboard lights and stereo presets? There is some confusion from people interested in this vehicle and from what I have seen, the IMS on the driver's side door only controls the driver's seat position. The other items you mention in the video I believe are actually tied to the personal profile in the Digital Key app (only available for Android right now) by placing the phone on the Qi charging pad to start the vehicle.
So it looks like mirrors and lighting are controlled by both the ims AND the profile. But the seats appear to only be controlled by the ims.
The ims definitely controls mirrors and dash board illumination as well as the seat though, i just verified that in person.
As for ambient lighting and stereo presets, those appear to only be controlled by the user profile.
So there's some mix of control, and some specific. 🤷 Weird 😂
I imagine, as this user profile thing is still quite new, that it will develope into a cohesive system within the next year or two.
Oh and we don't have digital key in Canada, so i can't comment on that.
However, the user profile CAN be connected to a blue link account.
Too bad you’re not in the US. You’re an adept salesman and this is a great pitch. If I heard this on a car lot, I’d be throwing handfuls of money at you to buy whatever Tucson was in stock.
Lol... Thanks!
Hi Ed, which dealership in BC are you?
Also is that Amazon Grey or Titan Grey?
I'm in Chilliwack ☺️.
This was Amazon grey
@@edsgarage001 What do you recommend Grey or Black leather? Grey looks better IMO but also hard to maintain.
Also do you know how to enable vehicle speed on the navigation system?
As shown as on the infotainment screen here: ruclips.net/video/v2H_kEWDc_Y/видео.html
@@RiasatAbir If you commute home from a dirty job, or wear jeans a lot, or have kids then go with the black leather.
Otherwise DEFINITELY the light grey 😊..I personally think it looks so much richer. It's actually not terribly difficult to keep clean.

Just purchased the vehicle but requested that the dealer include a spare tire, which they did at no extra change. Spare tire fits in the boot fine, not sure why they try to exclude it.
A lot of hybrids have the spare deleted for a little more weight savings.
I prefer the pump to be honest
