Jmook is so damn good at Sheik vs Fox, whenever he plays it makes me question everything I've been doing in this matchup. The way he brought that 2nd game back...
@@snakebebop his showing against ibdw, the best fox in the world, and against plup's fox which is also no slouch would probably constitute being good at the match up lol
JMook is like Zain all over again, I hope nerves don't eventually catch up with him. Actually feel that's the only thing holding Zain back at this point.
@@bigdrefromthebay6475 yes now he does great, but before the online era he did choke some notorious grand finals from winners before his big genesis 7 win and has yet to win a major from losers i believe.
Jmook gets reverse 3-0 by Mang0 where he looked more like the grand favorite to win the set due to Mang0 recent results Then Jmook goes and beats Leffen 3-2 , a player that pretty much destroys Sheiks and is known to have the toughest Fox to beat as Sheik Melee is sick
the one thing the newer generation of players have that older players don't have is they handle getting hit better....players like zain, llod, and jmook understand that sometimes taking a hit will actually still lead to a bigger opportunity for you.....
Llod is pretty old school actually. It's just that only recently has he gotten as good as he is and has become relevant. He was always good but now he's top notch
It's all a big circle. Shiek was the "best" in 2001-2003, then Marth was, then Puff, then Falco with some Fox sprinkled in there and then Puff again and then Marth and now Shiek is one the rise once more. Can't wait to see who's the best, again.
i think BY FAR the thing that is propelling jmook so much further so much faster than a lot of other up-and-comers is that he's very composed, and he seems to feed off the hype of the moment. there's no crowd here, but he said that at genesis top 8 the crowd actually HELPED him lol. which is unfathomable to me. even if i was as good at the game as he is, being in that kind of situation for the first time ever would definitely psych me out. i think i'd be too distracted by looking to my left and seeing tons and tons of people looking at me to focus on the game lol, regardless of whether they were cheering for me or not! but he's got it. that's actually so scary haha. i dont think he's gonna be number 1 anytime soon, because zain is kinda the exact same way and has the experience that jmook doesnt have yet, but and i dont think zain is going anywhere lol... but jmook could definitely be top 5 at the end of the year. you know who he reminds me of the most? he's like Punk, the street fighter player. meteoric rise out of new york, but had been good online for a while before he shows up and starts beating people. there were people who knew him, but once he showed up and dominated, then EVERYONE knew lol. jmook hasnt won a major yet, but... it's melee... i'm not saying it's harder to win than sf lol (cause if there's any game that could be harder, it might be sf. just cause of the sheer amount of talent from all over the whole world that are playing it), but i'm also not not saying it. lmao. and i think it's a matter of time before he does win a major, for sure. Punk and Jmook's personalities are completely opposite of course though hahaha. i dont think Jmook is gonna be talking shit and calling himself the alpha. but in terms of their impact on the scene... it's very similar. Jmook is the talk of the town, he's the person to watch, just like Punk was
Jmook studied vods of their friendlies and was making notes... he sandbagged friendlies to learn Leffen's habits and then used the goodwill of practice against him, just like stealing signs in baseball. Sneaky Sheik!
Leffen has so much experience with Fox he was willing to let him rust just a little to build his Shiek. His Fox will be tip top again, I'm fairly sure.
2 sd's in the last game and he still almost clutched it. I honestly thought Jmook was going to give him the first homie stock but I can understand wanting to win above all else. Good game from both competitors.

That really sucks to have worked hard to work that waveshine upsmash into muscle memory to use it in tourney just to have it literally screw you over. You go through this execution test just to get slapped for passing lol this is why I been seeing Foxes only try to cheese ppl offstage with it. Jmook now in the very exclusive echelon of players who are 1-0 vs leffen along with MattDotZeb.
