Hbox is definitely still top 10 possibly 5, he's regularly placing in top 8/5/3 at every tournament he goes to, he just lacks a win at any of them. Hbox is still goated but not quite clutch box

During the 4 majors this year, hbox didn't place lower than 5th. We can argue that he's maybe a top 3 contender but I think that he is indeniably top 4.
Since the start of the Ol' Pande everyone has talked about Hbox like he's washed because of online results, but he has gone to every in person major and gotten top 8 every time, where even Plup, Mang and Schwabster (who everyone thought were in their own tier) have missed top 8s. Hbox isn't number one anymore but he has consistently been top 5, he looks like he just struggles against a few certain players.

Placements this year are 5th, 2nd, and 3rd. The only ones who performed better were Zain, Cody, and maaaaaybe Jmook, who got 2nd and 4th at majors, but has slightly less tournament attendance. He has to be #3 right now.

He was gambling for it to kill off the top. That way Plup wouldn't have gotten the kill in time and the set would go on.

Hbox thought that the up smash wouldn't kill, which is why he said hat his cutoff point was 50%. Because Hbox thought up smash wouldn't kill he went for rest, and then was hoping to find another up throw rest, combo into rest, or get a gimp

He just needs to avoid iBDW and leffen, i think now with the new marth edge guard its possible for him to win against zain, unlike last the 10 sets where Zain swept through him.

@@evadekiryu5060in my opinion, it hard for me to believe he will be able to edge guarde cracked foxes like leffen and iBDW. Only 17/18 Hbox could. The hungry box that actually wanted to proof that he is the best in the world. Why would he sacrifice the money by balancing creating content, playing ultimate, and also playing competitive melee while placing at least top5, for being again number 1? He already done it 3 times in a row. I dont see hbox sacrificing everything just to re claim his throne. He is already a goat. He have nothing to prove. The same goes for mang0, that fire is hard to ignite again, but never the less, melee is in it is most exciting phase.

This set was insane, Plup was in control for what felt like 95% of it, but then clutchbox came in and made it super close.
Definitely think Hbox needs to start implementing shield drops tho, a lot of moments he was just frozen caught shielding in the platform where he could straight up have punished Plup for it, but also Plup was smart to really abuse that
