It took me a few days to overcome the deep disappointment when Robert and Alison had to cancel their gig in The Netherlands, almost two weeks ago. Two intriguing voices, backed by a great band. Unfortunately there was no new date found to perform in The Netherlands. So… thnx Thomas for sharing this great footage with us. Watching this video makes me realise once more how powerful great songs and great performers can be. And how disappointing it is that Robert and Alison had to skip their Dutch gig.

Met him about fifteen years ago when he played the venue I work at. His FOH guy soundchecked the room with “liquidator” by Harry J AllStars, which is a ska instrumental. I mentioned to him that I wasn’t expecting that, but it made sense since it’s sort of an unofficial anthem at premier league games. I ran into Robert backstage and told him that, then mentioned that I heard that he liked Calexico, so we chatted about that. VERY nice guy.
Please, someone, post the name of that incredible violinist!! Love this mash-up of Levee and Friends. Robert Plant remains an amazing vocalist and musician, open, curious and not stuck in his LZ days.

They let that old shrieking hack Plant up there? His old band stole so many blues and folk artists work and put their name on them, he should have been banned for life.
Like those folk and blues artists didn't steal and rebrand old songs. Zep got in deep shit because they made a lot of money off their work. For example, Willie Dixon didn't sue The Small Faces for Need Your Love because they didn't make shit on it, he went for the guys with the dough and notoriety.
