Updated the software. Shows the correct software rev. When on Fast - it leaves a green dot 3/4 the way down the curve - this corrects itself once you return to standard. Lighting only changes the LED on the stick, light on buttons stay extinguished. Still disappointed the track mat fails to control the cursor correctly - it’s better than it was, but would rather have that sorted so I can use the stick without have to use another device to control the cursor. Not sure the app adds much, better to get the basics right!
Thank you for all the help. I did download the app from Turtle Beach to my phone and it works fine. I did not find a way to exit the app for some reason. Seems I have to turn my phone off and back on to get out of it. Probably right there in front of me but haven't seen it. I get software up to date when I plug in. My lights change to the selection made without a problem. When I unplug my flightstick and plug it back in, it seems to return to the input mode it was in which is ok with me so I don't get a surprise. Thanks again... huge help. Still don't have settings I like for both windows 2020 and X11, but I'm trying. X11 doesn't recognize velocityone flightstick for some reason. Woody
It's interesting that the stick response is different under compatibility mode in Squadrons! They must be applying a response curve on top of the ones you can customize, in that mode?
I'm going to download this app today, you already have a year of experience, the foot rudder will be ordered next month! First adjust the light stick properly, I find looking around in the cockpit quite sensitive (can I also adjust this?)
Lmao 😂 you still have the clear protective sticker on the V1 fs screen. I do the same thing with my new stuff, I never take them off until they are falling off. It drives my daughter crazy lol, it must be an older guy thing 😂
Your video's are great. Unfortunately, the V1 Flightstick is not. I am only an example of one but V1FS is the most difficult peripheral I have ever dealt with. After turning the little disc and selecting xBox input (oddity 1), the VSFS goes dead every time. Unplugging and replugging as you did (oddity number 2) doesn't work unless the PC is rebooted (oddity 3)...often more than once. Once the V1FS app loads and attempts to update, it just grinds and never finishes. (I have blazing 700 mbps download speed, 32 GB RAM, 4 core i7 processor less than 1 year old. No problems with any other peripheral or software.) I had this problem with the last V1FS update and finally got it to take after multiple attempts. This time no luck. Turtle Beach service is perfunctory. Again these comments are for people considering a purchase...I still love your videos.

Mmm. Galaxy s8. Stick updated to 1.1.6. Bluetooth says connected at both ends. Stick in Bluetooth mode and saying Paired. But no response in app. Tried restarting phone and stick. Out of ideas now. Very frustrating. Support ticket raised.

Yesterday my flight stick arrived and I flew with it for the first time! I am completely impressed by the possibilities, but I find the manual very poor. When I touch the trim wheel the plane sometimes dives to the ground, but not always (so I have to find the cause for that) Can you tell me how to disable the Autopilot before landing (which menu should I choose for this) thanks in advance? I have also already set the selection button to the heading bug. The mini mouse at the top of the joystick is far too sensitive and unusable! Thank you for all the help.
The trim is analogue and unfortunately, MSFS has a few issues with this. Setting it to digital trim can help (check through my videos for help with that). To disable Autopilot; set a button for 'Toggle Autopilot Master' under 'Autopilot', in Controls Options.
@@Huddison Now that I have the flight stick, I will indeed take a closer look at your videos regarding the settings! In the settings there are a lot of lists from which you can choose, but something simple like placing the brakes on the shooter button was not possible for me either. 😝
Really helpful video, thanks so much. My flightstick doesn’t work properly on my xbox one in either xbox mode. The buttons work in the menus but then not once the game opens. Any suggestions?

updated to current firmware and now only the left buttons light up and the lights at the top of the stick , right buttons dont light up nor does the control wheel light up! is this a common issue or?

Hello! I just ordered this Joystick for my Xbox Series X. It's really sad you can connect a mouse and keyboard to the xbox but not an old saitek x52 usb hotas stick. This really would give xbox another edge of the ps5... anyhow... Can I use this Joystick with any xbox game? like the Joystick is the right thumb stick and the throttle is the y axis of the left thumbstick? something like that? or does the game need to be especially be designed to allow the use of a joystick? I really hope it would work with the space ship controls of Starfield.
Does anyone have the Flightstick's touchpad work on a desktop PC which does not have a touchpad? (Desktop PCs usually don't have touchpads which is standard in laptops.) I can't get mine to work even after updating to v1.1.6 of the firmware, adjusting the joystick's sensitivity, playing around with its settings, and without any add-ons on MSFS' (Steam version) 'Community' folder.
@@Huddison I've turned it up and down, but I still can't get it to work. The aiming cursor shows up but it won't move. Are you using a desktop or a laptop? Also, did you have to configure your PC to work with the Flightsticks touchpad?
I cannot in good faith tell anyone to get this thing after it bricked itself after trying to update. And the recovery software is equally dogshit. Feels great amd looks good but thats about as far as I got in the experience. 0/10.

Unfortunately, the LED lights can be a bit flaky on this device (it happens with mine also).
Just bought this stick. I find i can goto the input option but the select option n on the wheel never works. Ant thoughts?
click the left hand side of the wheel to select.

A lot of games support it - best checking on the Turtle Beach Website to find out which ones.

Just ruling out the obvious: ensure that you have the Touchpad sensitivity turned up in the Flightstick's settings (via the silver dial on the base).
